Reborn As An Interstellar Giant Mosquito

Chapter 2189: Chapter 31: I Refuse!

When the decisions of various parties in the Orion Arm were finalized, the officials responsible for alliance matters on Earth returned to their residences almost dazed.

“They’re recommending that our Earth become the common ruler of both the Orion Arm and the Biochemical Star Region?”

These officials transmitted the news back to Earth.

The officials on Earth were equally astonished.

Because, as they had imagined, Earth people really didn’t have much ambition about becoming such a common ruler or assuming such a high status.

It’s not that Earth people are devoid of greed; it’s just that Earth hasn’t reached that level yet. In fact, Earth’s lofty position within the Orion Arm is somewhat abnormal.

“We need to deliberate on this thoroughly on Earth’s side. Right, we have to consult Lord Jia Yan. There’s word that he is out of seclusion now.”

The high-level officials, faced with this news, didn’t dare make decisions on their own, and they knew it was all indirectly brought by the Mosquito Patriarch Senior through ‘Jia Yan.’

Therefore, they must consult with Jia Yan; otherwise, they wouldn’t dare to have any other thoughts.

If Jia Yan agreed, Earth would really consider seizing such a rare opportunity.

Not long after, within Jia’s family, a communication request was respectfully conveyed to Jia Yan.

“Hmm? Want to communicate with me, alright.”

Jia Yan sat in his room, in front of a somewhat timid and extremely cautious unfamiliar guard from Jia’s family.

After conveying the communication request from the Earth Alliance, he promptly withdrew cautiously.

“Terrifying, speaking with Lord Jia Yan turned out to be such a stressful affair. But… having talked to him, I definitely have bragging rights.”

These joyful words from the guard reached Jia Yan’s ears, causing him to smile slightly.

His status, whether in Jia’s family or within the entire Earth Alliance, had reached unimaginable heights. Although it couldn’t compare to the ‘Mosquito Clan,’ it was definitely second to none. In fact, some Earth people already revered him as if he were a Divine Spirit.

“Alright, I have many matters at hand, so directly state your business.”

Jia Yan quickly used his Smart Brain to establish a connection with Earth’s side.

His Smart Brain was produced on Earth, but of the highest specification; no one dared to eavesdrop.

“L-Lord, it’s like this: our Orion Arm Alliance has just decided to propose making our Earth Alliance the common ruler of the Orion Arm and the Biochemical Star Region. We wish to seek your opinion.”

The high-ranking official communicating with Jia Yan was highly respected within the Earth Alliance, yet upon seeing Jia Yan, he could barely speak.

Even though both sides had long been in communication, and had become old acquaintances due to Jia Yan’s gradual elevation of his status, upon seeing Jia Yan now, he was still overwhelmed by the extraordinary pressure Jia Yan exuded.

“Oh? The Orion Arm Alliance, is that their plan?”

Jia Yan was taken aback, as he hadn’t thought the Orion Arm Alliance would make such a decision.

But on reflection, it wasn’t too surprising. The Orion Arm Alliance had relied on the connection between the Earth Alliance and the Mosquito Clan to defeat the Biochemical Star Region, or rather, relied on his connection, ‘Jia Yan,’ with the Mosquito Clan.

Thus, to continue to draw closer or maintain relations with the Mosquito Clan, naturally, the Orion Arm had to elevate the status of the Earth Alliance.

When considering being the common ruler, Jia Yan realized that the actual benefits the Earth Alliance could gain were extremely low.

After all, Earth’s technology, culture, and all aspects were completely unmatched to its current status.

Though Earth people excel in finance, this ability is based on Jia Yan or, rather, the prestige of the Mosquito Clan behind Jia Yan. If he were to die or the Mosquito Clan faced any upheaval, the powerless Earth Alliance would undoubtedly crumble instantly. It might not be directly attacked by other alliances but would surely revert to the position of a weak civilization.

In reality, many aliens involved in Earth’s finance have this concern, so while Earth’s financial play is strong, it is still due to Earth’s small scale and high risk, making its financial strength not exceptionally robust.

Now, Earth has suddenly skipped over the Orion Arm’s most powerful barriers to become related to the dual Star Regions?

This made Jia Yan somewhat amazed.

Recalling the past, Earth was once a weak indigenous civilization that couldn’t even set foot off its own planet, and now it has attained such heights…

“If it weren’t for me, Earth might have perished countless times by now… Since I have guarded Earth for so long, why not continue in the future? But after all, I’m just one person. If anything were to happen to me, Earth would instantly revert to its original state, or even face the risk of annihilation…”

The reason for proposing Earth Alliance as the common ruler of the Orion Arm and the Biochemical Star Region is simply because Earth has him and the so-called relationship with the Mosquito Clan behind him. But Jia Yan knows that he himself and the Mosquito Clan behind him are actually just him alone.
