Reborn As An Interstellar Giant Mosquito

Chapter 2168: Chapter 21: Despair

”Oh? You think you’re stronger than me? Haha, okay, you attack.”

Jia Yan shook his head. If it were the previous avatar, Jia Yan might have needed to use a little trick, because his son had already reached the Venerable Level. Although the avatar wasn’t easily oppressed, it would definitely need some effort.

But now, it’s an avatar that has reached the Stellar Level...

Don’t even mention the Venerable Level, even a Semi-permanent Star Level wouldn’t be able to make a move in front of this avatar.

”I attack? Here? Aren’t we going outside? You know Grandpa and Grandma are here.”

Jia Rong was stunned.

Jia Yan laughed and shook his head.

He pointed at the ground beneath him.

”If you can make me step back or if you can damage the surroundings a little, I’ll consider it a loss.” Jia Yan said.

”Looking down on me?” A hint of anger flashed in Jia Rong’s eyes.

All along, what he was most dissatisfied with Jia Yan about was his attitude. Every time Jia Yan returned, he never displayed any bad feelings, only maintained a cold distance with him and his mother. Although he didn’t insult them, there was always a sense of detachment. So, this is the aspect he most wanted to change with force.

But now, even when it was time to fight, it seemed he still looked down on him, and his attitude was even more condescending...

”You said it yourself, now take my blow.”

Jia Rong at least knew that this ’father’ in front of him was a super being, and had fought for so many years in places beyond Earth, so his words definitely had some strength as a backing, and were not said in jest.

So he made his move, but even then, he was careful with the people and buildings around him.

”Hmm, this move, you used the Brainwave Power well, it’s very pure, but too pure. Without real combat experience, if you use this power in a fight with others, you might be defeated not just by a Venerable Level, but even a stronger Sky Level could potentially defeat you.”

Jia Yan shook his head.

He could see Jia Rong’s strength, although he progressed quickly due to talent, without combat experience, he couldn’t transform his strength into real combat power.

”Humph, still talking like this on the verge of death.”

Jia Rong, aggravated, increased his attack power in one move.

Boom.

A faint sound of destruction rang out.

Everyone from Jia’s family was waiting to see a scene like Mars colliding with Earth, but all they saw was a child throwing a punch only to hit the air, with a light sound and no massive explosion, not even stirring any significant dust in the air around him.

”Uh... Xiao Rong’s strength isn’t bad, right? Last time a Venerable Level adult from the outer stars saw him, his eyes widened and he asked Xiao Rong’s age, then hastily paid respect?”

”That’s right, Xiao Rong’s strength, according to many on Earth, is beyond what they can imagine. Many people think his strength isn’t too far from his brother. But now this is...?”

Jia Rong was shocked for a long time by the lack of effect his attack caused.

Although he had held back on that attack, if it really caused destruction, it could easily have collapsed a house. But looking now, it seemed like a child playfully hitting the air with an adult.

This left Jia Rong embarrassed, while his heart sank a bit, faintly feeling whether he challenged the wrong opponent.

Yes, this was Jia Yan, a living legend on Earth, always appearing with an image of absolute strength, whom Jia Rong aspired all his life to surpass.

How could he be defeated by himself like this?

”Again.”

This time Jia Rong did not hold back and crazily used his attack.

Boom.

He threw a punch that carried faint hints of lightning.

This was a talent from Samo Ling, with this lightning-like power augment, his punch’s attack power exceeded normal expectations, even doubling the strength compared to when he struck ordinarily.

”This punch, you’re bound to get hurt.”

A cold gleam flashed in Jia Rong’s eyes.

If you want to keep pretending, then prepare to be hurt and embarrassed.

He thought Jia Yan was pretending to be a master, maybe the previous block seemed nonchalant, but actually exhausted all his power.

So he wanted to rip off Jia Yan’s disguise of a super great master.

”Hmm, this punch wasn’t bad, it has your mother’s talent in it, and you even made some improvements, um, just a bit presumptuous though. A species’ talent, you think you can improve it just like that? Heh.”

Jia Yan laughed again, then didn’t move, not even lifting his eyelids, just watched the child’s fist come towards him.

This strike again had no effect, even the lightning power Jia Rong emitted disappeared upon releasing into the air, seemingly dissipated by some force created by a fluctuation.

”This...”

This time Jia Rong’s face finally changed drastically.

He stepped back.

”How come... aren’t you of Venerable Level Strength? Why are you so much stronger than me? I’ve got Leap-step Combat Power, how can you be even stronger than me?”

Jia Rong was dazed, only feeling a sliver of despair.

Because through the two strikes just now, he felt like he saw a massive monster whose strength was unfathomable. With such a presence, he felt that no matter how many of him came, it wouldn’t be enough to fight with just a look from this being.

Now he finally realized how great the gap between them was, so vast it was unbelievable, and even far beyond what he previously thought.

Yet he could not comprehend why his strength was seemingly not so much weaker. Aren’t both of them supposed to be Venerable Level, why is Jia Yan so much stronger?

”I employed the strength of the Initial Stage Venerable Level, but there are changes within far beyond your imagination. Child, you say you have Leap-step Combat Power... I hope you aren’t too arrogant. Your talent is indeed good, but without real battle experiences, you can’t have true combat abilities, not to mention you think you have Leap-step Combat Power. In my view, while your strength has reached the Venerable Level, actually, a Heavenly Peak creature could potentially defeat you. That is, you think you have Leap-step Combat Power, but others could easily leap-step combat past you, understand?”

”Additionally, you made another mistake, saying I have Venerable Level Strength. I’ve never publicly stated I’m of Venerable Level, and with so many years passed, your strength has risen, but don’t you think mine wouldn’t? Or do you think your talent is inherited from your mother? Heh...”

Jia Yan shook his head and waved his hand.

”Alright, the game ends here. Since you’re here, let’s have a meal. It’s been a long time since the family ate together.”

Jia Yan seemed to have done something trivial, but Jia Rong stood frozen throughout.

For so many years, his extremely confident mood was completely crushed by Jia Yan’s display at that moment.

”It turns out he truly is so powerful... and his talent is incredible, even over time... stronger than mine?”

Jia Rong looked dully at Jia Yan’s back turning away, feeling a wave of despair.

”No wonder Mother said never to compare myself to him, because in terms of talent, he’s far superior, way superior. Heh, then what have I been sticking to all these years? It’s utterly impossible to surpass him.”

Jia Rong’s firm beliefs collapsed within an instant, unsure what to do next.

Suddenly a hand grasped his arm.
