Reborn As An Interstellar Giant Mosquito

Chapter 2170: Chapter 22: Oath!

”Uncle, now that the meal is finished, you promised to give my child some benefits, didn’t you? Please hand them over.”

After dinner, Jia Qi, the mother, holding her own child, approached Jia Yan early on.

”You little girl, now that you’re a mom, you’re not as cute anymore,” Jia Yan slightly shook his head.

However, he didn’t have any intention of withholding, extending a finger and gently touching the forehead of the little one in Jia Qi’s arms who had been quiet all along.

Although Jia Qi wasn’t overly nervous, because Jia Yan touched her child, her own flesh and blood, she nevertheless felt a great deal of tension.

When Jia Yan withdrew his finger, the child still seemed unaffected by anything, and Jia Qi let out a long sigh of relief.

”Alright, I’ve activated some of his talents. In the future, these talents will gradually manifest. I also have some cultivation techniques here; you can have them for him.”

Jia Yan said blandly, then took out a smart brain and transferred some information to Jia Qi.

”Thank you, Uncle.”

Jia Qi was instantly delighted, even though she didn’t know what talents or cultivation methods Jia Yan referred to. Given Jia Yan’s status, what he offered couldn’t possibly be mediocre.

”I want it too.”

Jia Ruo, who had been waiting for a long time, finally had her turn.

Jia Yan nodded and extended his finger once again, softly touching her forehead.

”This method works better for younger children, but it also has some effect on adults. So, let me help all of you once.”

Jia Yan, deciding not to use his fingers, lightly fluctuated his brainwave power, silently implanting a transformative energy into the minds of everyone present.

Of course, this energy wasn’t meant for destruction; based on Jia Yan’s understanding of brainwaves, it provided some unique assistance, particularly beneficial for future cultivation.

Moreover, Jia Yan left a part of his thought process on each member of Jia’s family, secretly embedding some combat power.

This power ensures that as long as the enemy isn’t a creature above the level of Dignitaries, Jia’s family members would remain unharmed.

Among everyone present, only Jia Rong, who had been silent all the while, sensed the energies released by Jia Yan.

Originally, Jia Yan hesitated about helping Jia Rong with such assistance, but Jia Rong sneeringly repelled the power he sent over.

Jia Yan shook his head and decided not to bother.

Though this power didn’t assist Jia Rong, it untied some knot in Jia Yan’s heart.

After lunch, as everyone returned to their own lives, Jia Rong and Samo Ling walked toward their little abode.

”Mother, he treats you like air. I don’t know why you still insist on being with him. Though I understand that your identity is special, and I know he’s not as simple as he seems, I don’t think there will be no chance for me to surpass him in the future. When that day comes, I’ll make sure he treats you well.”

Jia Rong said this to Samo Ling.

”This... Xiao Rong, I’ll explain to you in the future, but don’t be rash, okay?”

”Hmm... I know.”

Jia Rong nodded, somewhat enlightened.

In solitude, Jia Rong was alone in his room.

He then looked up at the sky, as if his gaze could penetrate the endless starry sky, seeing into distant other worlds.

”I used to think my strength was that of a top-tier combatant, but today I realized that with equivalent strength, my combat power compared to that person is like heaven and earth. Even if my talent reaches his level, within the same tier, I still pose no threat to him.”

”The only solution to this is to improve my actual combat power, but on Earth, it’s impossible for me to have any substantial improvement. Therefore, I must go out...”

”Let’s go. Actually, I’ve known for a long time that Earth has become a shackle limiting my strength. That’s probably why he left Earth too. Or rather, my ability to cultivate to this level on Earth should be thanks to my extraordinary talent. Well, in that case, I’ll go out, make a name for myself in the outer stars, and when my strength surpasses his, I will vindicate my mother and let out my grievances.”

”I swear, I, Jia Rong, will surpass Jia Yan in the future!”

That night, a dim light shot up into the sky, leaving Earth just like that.

As this light pierced the sky, flying through a part of the starry sky, a faint brainwave power attached itself to this light.

A little while later, the light traveled far.

In this part of the starry sky, a colossal creature, reaching a terrifying ten-kilometer level in size, flew silently through a ripple.

”Sigh... Even if I don’t know whether you can truly be called my son, since you call me father, I will shoulder this responsibility. Moreover, isn’t it true that we are father and son?... ”

”In some ways, this kid’s toughness reminds me of myself, haha.”

The light soaring into the sky was actually a battleship, purchased by Earth through some means, an advanced technological item from outside the Orion Arm, hence its rapid speed.

Though possibly not extremely advanced in extraterrestrial domains, within the Orion Arm, it stood out as a remarkable technological marvel.

And in this super battleship, a young man who appeared to be Earthling silently gazed at the Earth behind him, heading out to the vastness beyond.

He was Jia Rong.

”Mother, I’ll be back soon. However awkward your position in Jia’s family might be, everyone still considers you family, so I’m not worried about you. Don’t worry about me either; I’m just going out to do things I should have done long ago.”

Jia Rong was completely unaware that as he passed through a space where he perceived nothing, a giant mosquito creature, revered as a Divine Spirit by Earth people, appeared. It released a power that lingered near him or in certain places.

For Jia Yan now, with his brainwave power having reached such an unfathomable realm, performing such feats wasn’t deemed dramatic.

This power, released using his true body, reached an astonishing Stellar level, with at least the strength of the Three Strikes. True Stellar beings could easily be obliterated in its presence, which was Jia Yan’s first openly fatherly gesture towards his nominal son.

”Alright, with this power, he’s unlikely to encounter any significant trouble. After all, with his current strength, adventure seems to be limited to within a few thousand light-years. Within these thousands of light-years, only so many existences reach or exceed the Stellar level; a Dignitary like him attracting such a being would be laughable.”

Jia Yan smiled slightly, letting go of further concerns about this son.

Releasing a wave of brainwave power, and doing it through the Yin-Yang Dao, was quite a burden for Jia Yan’s true body, so he needed some rest afterward.

Being a Giant Mosquito Creature with infinite stamina, the release of energy exhausting even him indicated just how massive the expenditure was.

Actually, if other Stellar level creatures found out that Jia Yan could perform such feats, they’d probably break their glasses. Performing this kind of action is entirely possible only for Star River level existences. Like back when young Jia Yan, outside the Grey-Yellow Star, encountered something of the ’Insect Clan Queen,’ it was her status as a Territory Master that allowed her to possess a subordinate’s body remotely. This possession continued with Jia Yan even into the future.

As for the Insect Clan Queen’s consistent follow-up power, Jia Yan is currently unable to replicate it, even less understand it. Yet, now that he’s capable of deploying energy to remotely aid family, this ability is slowly approaching those mighty existences.
