Reborn As An Interstellar Giant Mosquito

Chapter 1687: Chapter 15: Win Back What We Lost!

The results of the honored level competition are out, and as expected, the Stellar Academy dominated the entire field.

Among the top ten, only three honored dignitaries from the Genius Battlefield made it, while the other side had seven.

This point alone shows that the Genius Battlefield is completely at a disadvantage.

“Ha, Genius Battlefield, truly a place where talents emerge. To have three spots in the top ten in the honored level division, impressive, impressive.”

Standing proudly among the starry sky of stellar levels, Xi Fei could hardly contain his laughter, uttering subtle mockery to several strong ones from the Genius Battlefield around him.

“Xi Fei, watch your words, got it? Your Stellar Academy had its down times too, and we, the Genius Battlefield, never treated you like this.”

“Oh? Did our Stellar Academy ever face a downturn? I’m not aware of it.”

“You… Hmph, being so ignorant, of course, you wouldn’t know!”

Longta seemed to have had an adversarial relationship with Xi Fei for a long time, and they began to argue on equal footing.

Jia Yan, however, didn’t pay much attention to this and merely watched the honored level battle below, falling into contemplation.

“No wonder the Stellar Academy is no slouch; their combat strategies, honed over time, really enhance their fighting prowess significantly.”

After a long while, Jia Yan let out a sigh, his eyes reflecting a sharp glint.

The Stellar Academy compared to the Genius Battlefield actually follows two different training systems, with no similarities.

However, despite his reluctance to admit it, Jia Yan agreed that the Stellar Academy might be stronger in the future. This is because the Genius Battlefield’s laissez-faire training method demands too much from individual talents, while the Stellar Academy’s approach is different, focusing on active training. This leads to most geniuses being at the same level, although it makes it difficult for outstanding top-level talents to emerge.

“Alright, next is the secondary level genius battle. Each side sends out ten talents according to the same rules. You may go now.”

Having secured victories in the honored level battles for the Stellar Academy, Xi Fei almost wished the word “pride” could be written on his face, with his entire goat head nearly anthropomorphized into a smiling expression.

“Speaking of which, the participants from the Stellar Academy this time, apart from the weaker honored level ones, are stronger than in previous editions in both the secondary and semi-permanent star levels. Unexpectedly, we won the honored level so easily. We overestimated the opponent; the intelligence department needs reflection.”

Facing Xi Fei’s display of pride, none of the three stellar level participants from the Genius Battlefield replied, for even Jia Yan realized that the opponents at the secondary level were indeed quite strong.

As expected, after three days of round-robin matches, the Genius Battlefield was defeated completely, with the other side occupying most of the top ten spots, leaving only the seventh and ninth places to the talents from the Genius Battlefield.

“Haha, is this the Genius Battlefield? Just so-so!”

When the first-place genius at the secondary level said this with a disdainful look, Longta and Luobei Jue were almost furious.

However, Jia Yan didn’t feel as strongly, as his relationship with the Genius Battle wasn’t as close as Longta’s and Luobei Jue’s.

“Next is the semi-permanent star level battle, the key contest between our Stellar Academy and the Genius Battlefield, because the semi-permanent star level represents the potential to advance to stellar level, and also represents the comparison of potential between the two starfields!”

“Ladies and gentlemen, let’s now see what battle flames the semi-permanent star talents from the Genius Battlefield and our Stellar Academy will ignite!”

The host exclaimed passionately from above.

“Go, don’t feel too pressured.”

With a dark look, Longta encouraged the semi-permanent star geniuses about to fight.

In every major starfield genius competition, the semi-permanent star level contest is the most crucial. Not only are there the most contestants at this level, but it’s also the most exciting, and if the semi-permanent star geniuses win, even if the previous two levels were lost, it would still be a victory.

After all, the true potential of a genius can be seen in whether they can advance to stellar level; the previous two levels are almost like infancy for the semi-permanent star geniuses.

“Don’t be scared by those Stellar Academy guys. We’ve fought their semi-permanent star geniuses before, so what’s there to be afraid of!”

A top-level genius on the Genius Battlefield side spoke heavily to encourage his companions.

There are only so many top-level geniuses who came here, and the Genius Battlefield’s semi-permanent star top-level geniuses number just three.

“We mustn’t embarrass the three seniors; let’s work hard now!”

A group of geniuses from the Genius Battlefield landed on the Battle Star.

Meanwhile, the Stellar Academy talents also landed on the ground.

“Come on, don’t blame our Stellar Academy for bullying you guests. You get to choose the first venue!”

On the other side, a top-level talent from the Stellar Academy spoke to the geniuses from the Genius Battlefield.

“Hmph, Pi Yin! Looks like you’re my opponent once again this time.”

On the Genius Battlefield side, the top-level genius with a semi-permanent star talent who had spoken earlier said coldly.

“That’s right, it’s me again, and this time, you’ll be defeated by me just like last time.”

The other party laughed softly, showing utter disdain for the top-level genius from the Genius Battlefield.

“Arrogant!”

Upon reaching the Semi-permanent Star Level, both sides are actually quite familiar with each other. After all, not every genius is like Jia Yan, capable of quickly breaking through several major barriers. When their talents are similar, they have more opportunities to battle in the past.

So most of them know each other.

At this moment, past grudges float to the surface, and instead of drawing lots, each finds their old rival, selects a venue, and directly begins the battle!

In the sky, Jia Yan and two Stellar-Level strong ones from the Genius Battlefield are watching the battles below.

“Jia Yan, what do you think about this competition, which side can secure more top ten seats?”

Longta came to Jia Yan’s side and asked lightly.

Jia Yan looked at him and saw that this strong one, who had been extremely excited before, had completely controlled his demeanor.

Stellar Level is indeed Stellar Level; their self-control is nowhere near weak. The previous dispute with Xi Fei was just for show.

Jia Yan shook his head.

“Senior, it’s not that I don’t trust the juniors of the Genius Battlefield, but the geniuses of Stellar Academy are indeed powerful. We might still lose this time.”

“Hmm, I understand.” Longta sighed helplessly.

“That’s why both of us are leading this time. After all, no one from the Genius Battlefield is willing to come and get humiliated.”

It seems Longta had long been prepared for the Genius Battlefield to lose.

“But none of those old guys expected…” Longta quickly turned his head and focused his gaze on Jia Yan: “None of them anticipated your appearance!”

“Jia Yan, I know you’re not very willing to fight for the Genius Battlefield, but I did help you several times in the past. If you’d do me a favor, I want you to win back our losses in your battles against the two Stellar-Levels. At least win one! Especially the one against the Electric Ghost, can you take it?!”

Jia Yan was stunned, not expecting Longta to say such things to him.

It seems Longta doesn’t look very angry, but deep down, he still harbors some resentment about the geniuses he brought, losing to the Stellar Academy’s geniuses led by Xi Fei.

Doing Longta a favor?

Jia Yan pondered. Longta was not only the benefactor who helped him reach the central area of the Genius Battlefield but also stood up to hold off Huo Qu, who was pursuing him.

Having helped Jia Yan so much, is he going to refuse even such a small request?

Moreover, Jia Yan didn’t originally intend to go easy.

“Senior Longta, I wouldn’t miss the opportunity to battle the Stellar-Levels. Even if you didn’t ask, I wouldn’t hold back.”

Jia Yan’s words caused Longta to smile slightly.

The two did not continue on this topic but lightly observed the Semi-permanent Star Level battles on the Fighting Star.

Longta still did not fully understand Jia Yan’s meaning, thinking that he meant to defeat the Electric Ghost with all his power. But in reality, Jia Yan’s words implied more than just defeating the Electric Ghost…

“Heh, the Semi-permanent Star Geniuses of the Genius Battlefield are just so-so!”

The battles on the Fighting Star were extremely intense, but as Jia Yan previously mentioned, the geniuses from the Genius Battlefield seemed still a bit weak. Even though they gave it their all, it was still not enough to turn the tables.

One match, two matches, three matches…

Finally, all the geniuses completed the round-robin matches entirely.

Despite the fact that Stellar Academy’s Semi-permanent Star Level had almost all the advantages, the Genius Battlefield geniuses were not entirely without the ability to fight back.

Both sides fought fiercely.

Unfortunately, in terms of victories, Stellar Academy still held the advantage!

“The rankings are out. Now let’s see, haha, the Semi-permanent Star Geniuses from the Genius Battlefield are not bad; they secured four top ten spots, and three of them are in the top five. But unfortunately, in terms of total numbers, it’s still us from Stellar Academy who win!”

“Now, I can announce the result of this exchange competition between Stellar Academy and Genius Battlefield is…”

The Stellar-Level host from Stellar Academy was about to announce the results of the battle of geniuses on both sides.

But just at that moment, a clear voice stopped his speech!

“Wait!”

The owner of that voice, while speaking, flew forward.

“Oh? Mister Jia Yan from the Genius Battlefield, I wonder what else you have to say.”

The Stellar-Level host from Stellar Academy seemed to have anticipated this, directing his mocking gaze toward Jia Yan.

Because he already knew that the newly promoted Stellar-Level from the Genius Battlefield, also promoted as a ‘Monster-Level Genius’ by Genius Battlefield, wanted to challenge the Stellar-Level strong ones from Stellar Academy in this genius exchange competition!

However, he completely did not believe that this so-called monster had any chance of winning.
