Reborn As An Interstellar Giant Mosquito

Chapter 1685: Chapter 13: A Senior Younger Than Myself

“What? Accept the challenge!”

“A being that has just entered the stellar level, possibly without even understanding a domain, dares to accept a challenge from a strong one who has been at the stellar level for a long time; did I hear that right?”

The geniuses of the Stellar Academy all looked at Jia Yan in disbelief as he spoke.

Even Xi Fei was immensely shocked as he examined Jia Yan.

This being who had just entered the stellar level was still unfathomably astonishing to him now.

Because in his memory, that Little Mosquito who was able to fight with Duo Jian to a draw back then was at most just a high-level talent; Duo Jian achieved his status as a top genius through mastering the methods of a big clan.

At that time, he didn’t care about that Little Mosquito, because this Little Mosquito was fundamentally impossible to catch up to a top genius. Although Duo Jian was deeply regretful about not being able to complete that battle with Jia Yan after returning to the Stellar Academy, Xi Fei didn’t pay much attention.

But to his astonishment, when this Giant Mosquito, whom he had completely disregarded, reappeared before him and Duo Jian, it not only surpassed Duo Jian but even reached the same level as him – the stellar level!

“To actually agree to my challenge, and even say that Electric Ghost also made an appointment to fight him…”

Xi Fei felt he might have missed some information, but no matter what, how could he fear the challenge of a being that just entered the stellar level?

“Very well, since you agreed, then after the geniuses finish their battles, let’s have a good matchup!”

Without saying much, Xi Fei turned and enveloped the unconscious Duo Jian with his Brainwave Power, taking him away from Jia Yan and the others.

“Haha, Jia Yan, you did well. That Duo Jian was just courting death; of all people to trouble, he chose a stellar level strong one.” Luobei Jue clearly didn’t know about the grudge between Jia Yan and him, assuming that Duo Jian, this genius of the Stellar Academy, had lost his mind.

“Haha, you shouldn’t say that. If it were me as Duo Jian, I might have reacted the same way.” Longta laughed beside him and then explained the past events between Jia Yan and Duo Jian.

“Uh… So that’s the past. To think that at that time, Jia Yan was someone even Duo Jian couldn’t necessarily defeat, and now has reached such a level that even a top genius lags behind him by so much?”

Even though Luobei Jue already knew about Jia Yan’s talent and speed of promotion, seeing another example, especially being compared to a top genius this time, still left him astonished.

Of course, the surrounding geniuses, facing Jia Yan’s talent, exchanged speechless glances, unsure of what to feel about this ‘Senior’ who was younger than most of them, and could only smile wryly.

Fortunately, regarding the Genius Battlefield, since Jia Yan was from their side, even if their mindset was shaken, it wasn’t as much as the geniuses of the Stellar Academy.

The appearance of Jia Yan, especially his ability to injure Duo Jian in one strike, made a group of Stellar Academy geniuses suddenly pay close attention to this newfound stellar level strong figure from the Genius Battleground.

It was under their attention that the explosive news of Jia Yan’s talent and prowess spread!

“This… this… Are you talking in your sleep? You’re saying this Jia Yan at the stellar level was just a Dignitary a few decades ago?!”

“Impossible, what kind of promotion speed is this? Breaking through to the stellar level in just a few decades. In the history of our Stellar Academy, has such a genius ever appeared?”

“Listen to this, the geniuses on the other side of the Genius Battlefield are all saying Jia Yan is a monster-level genius. Why can the Genius Battlefield produce such a genius, but our Stellar Academy seems to have never produced a monster-level genius?”

The geniuses of the Stellar Academy, whether top-notch or high-level, were all shaken by Jia Yan’s talent.

They absolutely couldn’t believe that the newly appeared stellar strong person from the Genius Battleground was previously thought to be just an ordinary genius promoting, and now they realized that this ‘Senior’ was a monster-level genius being younger than most of them!

Not even forty years old, yet already reached the stellar level. Such a genius, has there been one in the Stellar Academy before?

No! Let alone approaching this genius, even a stellar level under sixty hasn’t appeared in the Stellar Academy before.

“My gosh, having such a guy appear in our Stellar Academy, whether we win or lose this genius exchange contest, we have already lost!”

The entire Stellar Academy’s geniuses were left speechless and in shock.

This Genius Battlefield being, younger than them, had reached the stellar level, while they still called themselves top geniuses, even under the ‘Senior’ supervision of their opponent, such feelings truly fostered despair.

This day, the beings on the Fighting Star were not excited or thrilled for the upcoming battles; instead, each had a peculiar feeling.

Because they called themselves geniuses of the two big Starfields, yet in the team considered as Seniors, there was someone younger and with stronger unknown power than any of them, such feelings weren’t easily calmed.

Of course, geniuses still are geniuses; they could only take Jia Yan’s appearance as something legendary.

Anyway, no matter how strong his talent is, reaching stellar-level power, it’s impossible for him to appear and fight against them, right?

Moreover, that Jia Yan, even dared to offend the two stellar-level seniors from their Stellar Academy, and now, it’s likely that the two elders of their Academy will teach him a lesson. Although it won’t be lethal, it will certainly satisfy the geniuses of the Stellar Academy and greatly ease their discomfort.

The scheduled duel between Jia Yan and Electric Ghost became known to all beings after Jia Yan’s famous name spread.

Even those within the Genius Battlefield couldn’t help but wonder how Jia Yan always manages to stir up trouble!

Just arriving at the Stellar Academy, Jia Yan hasn’t even settled down yet, and he’s already challenging two stellar-level strong ones. If his power hadn’t grown quickly, he might have fallen a long time ago.

Especially among the geniuses of the Genius Battlefield, they all think about the legends surrounding Jia Yan.

These legends, when they hear them, seem like a perilous path of continual battles. It’s no wonder Jia Yan’s power rises so swiftly; otherwise, he would certainly have died a long time ago!

“This guy, is he going to stir up a bloody storm at the stellar level as soon as he’s reached it?”

Even Luobei Jue joked with Longta about this.

Unexpectedly, Longta merely shook his head and smiled bitterly.

“He’s already stirred up a bloody storm at the stellar level. Don’t you remember the stellar-level being he killed in the Northern Star Domain?”

“Uh… that’s true! You remembered he once slew a stellar-level being, and that’s why you agreed to let him take on the challenge, right?” Luobei Jue was momentarily stunned, then sighed deeply.

“Indeed, according to video data, Jia Yan initially reached the stellar level, likely before even stabilizing his power, and killed a stellar-level being from the outside world. Now so much time has passed, and surely his strength has improved, which is why I allowed him to take on the challenge. Although there may still be a gap compared to Xi Fei, at least he can save his life.”

Longta originally wanted to say Jia Yan wouldn’t lose, but considering Jia Yan’s promotion time, he remained cautious.

As someone who watched Jia Yan grow all the way, he had a vague feeling in his heart that Jia Yan will surprise them once again.

But he didn’t express this thought.

Time flew by swiftly.

In the vast residence on the Battle Star at the Stellar Academy, after barely passing a day’s rest, the people from the Stellar Academy again visited, inviting participants from the Genius Battlefield and the stellar-level strong ones to the outside world.

“Today we will initiate the preliminary battle. This time your side has brought sixty-five geniuses, we will send out ten top-level geniuses, fifty-five high-level geniuses to challenge them, may your side have any objections?”

Xi Fei stood in the sky, as if the conflict with Jia Yan yesterday had never occurred.

Yet when his gaze swept across Jia Yan’s position, he couldn’t help but show a trace of fear and dread.

After returning to the residence yesterday, Electric Ghost came to him, gravely recounting the previous fight with Jia Yan.

This made Xi Fei slightly surprised at Jia Yan’s ability since it’s exceedingly rare for someone who just reached the stellar level to attain Jia Yan’s level of power.

However, he could remain calm now because during the fight with Electric Ghost, Jia Yan’s displayed capacity wasn’t particularly formidable. Xi Fei’s combat power is much stronger in the Stellar Academy than Electric Ghost’s; since Electric Ghost claimed to have confidence in defeating Jia Yan, Xi Fei was even less worried.

“Hmph, thinking that having great talent allows one to dominate at the stellar level? I’ll show you this time, being stellar-level isn’t as simple as you think!”

While Xi Fei hosted the matters of the genius battle, he sinisterly glared at Jia Yan.

He’s even decided that if during the challenge match with Jia Yan, an opportunity arises to firmly eliminate the high-talent enduring-level Jia Yan, surely even if the Genius Battlefield wants to retaliate, the Stellar Academy will protect him?

Of course, that opportunity needs to be found.

“Haha, does this guy want to make a move on me? He thinks I’m afraid… Want to kill me? Just try and see.”

Jia Yan, who had experienced countless life-and-death battles, immediately sensed it when the opponent showed a hint of murderous intent towards him.

However, Jia Yan did not feel too fearsome. On this occasion, he’s less terrified of the entire power of the Stellar Academy; otherwise, he wouldn’t be so ostentatious within the Stellar Academy.

After all, although the Stellar Academy is strong, in fact, their strongest is merely stellar middle-level. Even if there are those stronger than Huo Qu in stellar middle-level, they are ultimately somewhat limited.
