Reborn As An Interstellar Giant Mosquito

Chapter 1667: Chapter 33: Assessing Strength

Within the domain of the Country of Taia, the massive Stellar-level corpse had already been dismantled and studied by certain secret units of Taia, leaving only the terrifying chaos caused by the battle across the vast starry sky.

Several of the hundreds of research ships daring to venture into this place have never been able to leave, so after barely recovering Kong Ping’s remains, the Taia Nation announced this area as a no-fly forbidden zone.

A week passed, and Jia Yan still hadn’t appeared.

However, a tiny figure passed through the subspace and arrived on Taya Star.

His arrival did not attract anyone’s attention.

”Lord Jia Yan!? You’re really alright.”

Kama was sitting in her office, extremely busy with official duties these days.

After all, the entity behind the Country of Taia was actually a Stellar-level strong one, and had even annihilated another Stellar-level existence. Such an event in the Northern Star Domain was like a magnitude twelve earthquake, making countless forces and upper echelons tremendously apprehensive of Taia Nation. Even some who had previously humiliated Taia unexpectedly sent messages, willing to pay a huge price to mend relations.

Kama was, of course, busy because of these things.

However, upon seeing the tiny figure suddenly arrive in her office, Kama immediately stopped her actions and displayed a genuine smile.

Yes, the tiny figure was Jia Yan’s avatar!

”Hmm, I’m temporarily fine, but I need to retreat for a while. How is the star gate affair going?”

Jia Yan’s avatar looked the same as before, but merely floating in the air, it exuded a faint oppression that deterred direct gaze.

Moreover, due to what he had done previously, this pressure seemed to cause an even more significant psychological impact.

At least when Kama saw him, she felt breathless, even though her figure was more than ten times larger than Jia Yan’s avatar.

”Hmm, as long as you’re fine, Lord. The star gate is finished, and I sent an emissary to Earth. I don’t know if acting on my own accord would affect your plan. Please forgive me, Lord.”

Kama felt an increasing distance between her and Jia Yan, causing a pang of sadness in her heart, and her speech became somewhat unnatural.

”It’s alright, Kama, you did very well.” Jia Yan nodded, seemingly oblivious to her expression.

He spoke about the reactions in various parts of the Northern Star Domain after his battle, which were all within Jia Yan’s expectations.

A Stellar-level existence, even in a stronger starfield, is a terrifying presence, not to mention in the Northern Star Domain, which has no native Stellar-level stalwarts. It’s strange if the surrounding forces dared not submit.

”By the way, how is the Bai Niao Battle Hall now?”

After asking about other places, Jia Yan shifted the topic, speaking about the Bai Niao Battle Hall with a glint in his eyes.

Kama’s expression became solemn, knowing this was what Jia Yan cared most about currently.

She organized her words for a moment before slowly speaking.

”Lord, the Bai Niao Battle Hall lost a Stellar-level strong one in that battle, and promptly retreated to their lair at the center of the Northern Star Domain. There were reports that they have already sent this battle’s intelligence back to the starfield where their headquarters is located, but it’s unknown how the Bai Niao Battle Hall Headquarters in that starfield will respond.”

”Hmm, I believe they won’t act hastily. At least they won’t make a move before figuring out my base.” Jia Yan nodded, as the Bai Niao Battle Hall’s reaction was also within his expectations.

”Alright, if there are any progressions concerning Earth, contact me anytime. I’ll go back to my retreat now.” Having understood everything, Jia Yan intended to leave.

This time he appeared not only to understand the situation after his battle but also to act as a morale booster for Kama or the Taia Nation. As long as he was fine, Taia Nation would work harder for him.

”Da... Lord Jia Yan, besides the business, don’t you want to sit... sit down and chat with me?”

Suddenly, a slightly timid voice sounded behind Jia Yan.

Jia Yan was startled, turning around to see Kama with a flushed face, behaving like a little girl, seemingly at odds with her original empress demeanor.

”Uh, I’m really busy now, we’ll talk when I have time, sorry about that.” Jia Yan smiled bitterly and shook his head.

Kama’s expression instantly turned pale, she dared not look at Jia Yan’s expression, just feigned a natural cough.

”Hmm, I understand, Lord Jia Yan, you go ahead. I was just saying casually.”

After Jia Yan left for some time, Kama sat back dazedly on her throne, shaking her head bitterly, not knowing why she had been so bold to say such words earlier.

”Perhaps it’s because I feel the distance between us growing? Or is it something else? Sigh, I don’t even understand myself now.”

Kama looked helplessly toward the place where Jia Yan had left, her eyes tinged with a shade of melancholy or perhaps pessimism.

However, she was, after all, an Empress overseeing three hundred billion subjects. After a brief moment of emotional imbalance, she quickly regained her composure.

Jia Yan did not dwell much on this matter. Although he had vaguely understood Kama’s special sentiments toward him a dozen years ago, he did not want to get involved in such emotions.

His household already had a complicated relationship with Samo Ling, which was troublesome enough. Involving Her Majesty the Empress would indeed be too problematic.

Of course, the most crucial issue was that he clearly understood his own ambitions—to become a top-tier warrior. Moreover, with his true form being a Giant Mosquito, how could he possibly entertain interspecies romance?

While interspecies romance was not considered groundbreaking news in the universe, Jia Yan simply could not accept it.

”Let’s stop thinking about it.”

Once he left Taya Star, Jia Yan plunged into the subspace.

He could have entered subspace right from the palace, but he deliberately moved around in front of people before entering, even showing up in front of a spacecraft carrying a diplomatic mission.

This was his purpose, to at least let the people nearby know that he, a stellar being, still existed. This would make the Country of Taia’s dealings with surrounding powers less vulnerable.

By tearing through subspace, Jia Yan entered the superfast battleship inside.

Inside the superfast battleship, his true body lay quietly at rest.

After entering the superfast battleship, Jia Yan’s avatar immediately ceased its actions, and he fully withdrew the spiritual power from the avatar back into his true body.

”Phew, that dark light is truly formidable. Thankfully, the day it struck me, its energy had already diminished significantly; otherwise, I might have been severely injured.”

As Jia Yan’s true body moved slightly, he felt a wave of intense pain in his body, causing his heart to grow slightly heavier.

The battle with Kong Ping was Jia Yan’s first encounter with a stellar-level strong one after reaching the stellar tier.

He initially thought that having endured so many hardships and opportunities to achieve stellarity, his strength should be remarkably overwhelming within the stellar class.

Although the facts proved him right—having just achieved the stellar tier, not even having stabilized it, he could already annihilate Kong Ping, a veteran early-stage stellar strong one.

In reality, Jia Yan was injured, and it almost resulted in severe damage!

”But no matter what, now the power of that dark light has been gradually worn down by me. I even began to faintly understand some transformations in the stellar combat energy it contained. Although I cannot employ the same transformation reasoning, it has greatly aided my journey as a stellar.”

Jia Yan was content in sensing the mightiness of his body.

Just after his recent mutation, he engaged in battle with Kong Ping. To be honest, at that moment, he hadn’t even acclimated to the gigantism of his form. Winning in such a state seemed incredibly rare to him.

Subsequently, he immediately entered a state of injury. After several months of recovery, he never had the chance to experience the full magnitude of his stellar prowess and changes.

Now that his injuries were stabilized and there was temporarily nothing external to manage, he found the time to study his current self.

”Stellar level!”

With a flicker of peculiar brilliance in his Compound Eyes, Jia Yan felt the might of his body. Despite being injured, an air of unprecedented authority was present in his every gesture.

”The body’s size exploded from over a hundred meters to one kilometer, and that’s without accounting for the legs. If they were spread out, my size could even cover an expanse of six kilometers... This is beyond being describable by size alone.”

Six kilometers, that is six thousand meters. The highest peak on Earth, Mount Everest, has an altitude of over seven thousand meters, and he, just one being, had attained a comparable length to that of Mount Everest!

”Achieving such enormity at the stellar class is normal. I merely made a jump from Respect Level to the stellar class in size, so the senses cannot adjust temporarily, but I will adapt after some time.”

”What I need to focus on is the powerful transformation of my strength!”

Besides the immense physical transformation, Jia Yan pondered his current abilities.

Contemplating this point, he felt a wave of joy in his heart.

Defeating a stellar class warrior uprightly and even killing the opponent was the most convincing evidence of his current strength for Jia Yan!

”I now possess not only terrifying-grade exoskeletons and other capabilities but also my subspace talent has reached a certain limit. It seems like one more step forward, and I could break through the current six-dimensional subspace depth. And the formula that Taia’s scientist provided me last time seems to be the opportunity for my next move...”

”Furthermore, the brainwave power appears to be compressed after reaching stellar class. I have felt the stellar field several times, and I seem to have some insights. It’s possible that not long from now, I might form my own domain, which is known to be one of the greatest methods of the stellar class!”

”As for more powerful unique methods, I have a few, the first being the Bluish defense that has always provided me with resilient defense...”

”The second unique method comes from the object resembling tree roots, which, after fusing with my body cells, converts part of my body to antimatter, turning me into a virtually supreme destructive bomb during battles.”

Thinking of several methods, Jia Yan smiled with satisfaction.
