In the Great Empire, Zai Lao’s status is akin to the Prime Minister of ancient Huaxia on Earth. Such a position is not something an ordinary minister can compare to, yet now almost all ministers are angrily opposing Zai Lao.

After all, the words he spoke were truly excessive.

Handing over all the essence blood to the Giant Mosquito — wouldn’t that mean handing over the foundation of the Great Empire?

”Zai Lao, I hope you can provide me with an explanation.” The Emperor was similarly displeased, but as a monarch, he naturally would not lose his temper openly. Instead, he looked coldly at Zai Lao.

It seems this old man is too old, perhaps it’s time to replace him.

The Emperor thought to himself.

”Your Majesty, consider this: although our Great Empire is powerful, it is not strong when compared to the Feiheng Force and the Giant Mosquito. Even more so, I’ve heard that behind the Feiheng Force, there are even more terrifying forces and strong ones supporting them. Likewise, on the Giant Mosquito’s side, it’s not necessarily just one strong individual. No matter how strong our Great Empire is, it’s impossible to defy them.”

Although Zai Lao was old, his eyes gleamed with a different light.

”Moreover, the captives from the Feiheng Force have said they are here to take our Great Empire’s essence blood for a stellar-level being. Imagine if such strong ones were to confront us personally, could our Great Empire withstand it?”

His words were truly pearls of wisdom, causing the Emperor and the ministers to fall silent immediately.

Indeed, when caught between two giants, our Great Empire simply cannot keep the god beast essence blood from the Feiheng Force and the Giant Mosquito.

”Fine, Zai Lao’s reasoning is sound. I think we should indeed consider the Giant Mosquito’s demand. However, is it possible to adopt a different approach? We could give one portion of the essence blood to the Giant Mosquito and another to the Feiheng Force, which would also buy our Great Empire some peace.” The Emperor sighed, seemingly understanding the feeling of those weaker civilizations.

Soon, the decision from this meeting was transmitted to the fleet where the Great General was located.

In fact, Jia Yan had not expected it to be so easy, but unexpectedly, the Great Empire was so straightforward that they agreed to his demand.

However, the content made Jia Yan not completely satisfied.

”Your Great Empire intends to divide the essence blood into two portions, giving one each to me and the Feiheng Force?” Jia Yan’s Compound Eyes were filled with a strange look.

”That’s correct, Lord Giant Mosquito. Our Great Empire has already shown you immense consideration. You initially asked for a little, but we are offering you a full two-tenths of the essence blood. What do you think?”

The Great General said helplessly.

Jia Yan looked at the quantity of essence blood mentioned in the intelligence and realized that even Senior Tian Ji’s Blood possessed by the Great Empire was not much. Whether the two-tenths could provide him enough for his own mutation, he also didn’t know.

”No, I need at least four-tenths!” Jia Yan casually turned his head to look at the Great General.

This gaze contained no intent to kill, but its inexplicable meaning left the Great General at a loss.

Even though he was a battle-hardened general, facing someone he couldn’t resist at all, he felt a fear in his heart.

”Elder Giant Mosquito, I can’t possibly commit to anything on this matter. I’ll first present your demands to the Emperor, and whatever they decide is not within my control.” He said with a bitter smile.

In truth, as the Second Prince, the Great General’s position in the Royal Family was not high, being a child of his father, the Emperor, and an alien race. Although he contended with the Crown Prince for the position of heir, everyone knew his chances were slim.

Thus, he was unlikely to exert significant influence in such matters.

”Very well, inform the Emperor. If they don’t provide a satisfactory answer, I can personally visit your Empire Star to have a chat with them.” Jia Yan said casually.

While he might still be wary of the Feiheng Force’s headquarters, he had no fear entering the Great Empire’s capital alone, as they lacked strong individuals and a black hole strategy.

Upon hearing this, the Great General’s heart chilled, because Jia Yan’s words implied much more than a mere visit for talks.

Yet when these words reached the Great Empire’s internal circle, they did not yield the expected effect.

”On the surface, we will agree to the Giant Mosquito’s demands, but we will still give him only two-tenths of the quantity. However, these two-tenths will be expanded to four-tenths using our Great Empire’s research techniques to increase dilution. He doesn’t know the normal concentration of essence blood, so he surely can’t detect the difference.”

”Moreover, when compared, this Giant Mosquito is clearly less daunting than the forces and strong ones behind the Feiheng Force.”

Since Zai Lao proposed the essence blood concession strategy last time, he had subtly regained the Emperor’s trust, now expressing his views once more.

”Hmm, let’s handle it this way for the time being. Or we can make it clear to him: let him and the Feiheng Force vie for it themselves. In any case, once we present the items, how much they can seize will be based on their abilities.”

The Emperor was somewhat helpless with this matter, reluctant to trade away the foundation of their state for peace. To accommodate both sides only soured his mood further.

And just as the Great Empire had come to understand and formulated the plan with Zai Lao’s strategy, allowing the Giant Mosquito and Feiheng Force to compete and shift the pressure away from the Great Empire, the Feiheng Force received this ’compromise’ communication.

”Heh, after years of battling, the Great Empire finally agreed to compromise. But adding in something called the Giant Mosquito, what nonsense is this?”

The upper echelons of the Feiheng Force, upon receiving the intelligence, were almost all somewhat troubled.

The surrender of the Empire had long been anticipated, as the war was indeed unfavorable for the Empire. But what they hadn’t expected was that the Giant Mosquito had rushed in from hundreds of light-years away and had inserted itself into the situation.

”Although the Empire agreed to give us eighty percent of the Essence Blood, whether our Lord behind agrees or not is another matter.”

”Forget it, let’s leave this troublesome issue to the Lord. We’ve fought this far, and our mission is essentially complete. It’s good enough if we don’t have to fight the Giant Mosquito head-on.”

Jia Yan waited within the Great General’s fleet for two days, and more or less understood the Empire’s intentions, which was to transfer their pressure elsewhere, a very clever move.

Originally, if Jia Yan or the Empire came with pressure alone, even if they handed over the Essence Blood, they would still fear the opposite side reneging. But now, with requirements from two fronts, they could seek benefits for themselves, at least achieving peace with the Empire was entirely possible.

”Elder Giant Mosquito, the terms from above have arrived.” Just as Jia Yan understood the Empire’s intentions, the Great General found him once again.

”We have two requirements. First, we ask Lord Giant Mosquito to help us ensure that the Feiheng Force doesn’t show their weapon after securing the Essence Blood. Second, after Lord Giant Mosquito receives the Essence Blood, no further demands can be made on our Empire.”

The Empire’s requirements were simple and reasonable.

Jia Yan agreed casually, especially after seeing that the amount of Essence Blood he needed had increased to forty percent, which made him even more satisfied.

Of course, he didn’t know the Empire was playing a trick.

Meanwhile, on the side of the Feiheng Force, the Empire’s demands were not much different: firstly, they had to retreat from the Empire’s territory; secondly, they had to help deal with the Giant Mosquito who came to threaten.

With negotiations done on both sides and both parties satisfied, the day for formal implementation arrived quickly.

Things went smoother than the Empire had anticipated.

The Feiheng Force had originally come to the Orion Arm for the Essence Blood, and the environment inside was almost a dead zone for them. Even with the environmental optimization machines, the energy consumption was extremely high under the interference of Tian Ji’s Brainwave Power, so having a chance to leave was something they were eager to do, abandoning conquered territories didn’t even require much thought.

And on this day, after three-party negotiations were settled, Bitan and his long-awaited huge fleet finally reached the outskirts of the Empire.

Tens of thousands of Battleships increased the pressure on the Empire. The mere presence of Bitan, subtly moving within the fleet, caused the leaders of the Empire to break out in cold sweats. It’s rumored that this might be someone comparable to the Giant Mosquito in power.

”We must not let the Feiheng Force and the Giant Mosquito meet just yet! Otherwise, as soon as they compare the proportions of Essence Blood, the Giant Mosquito will realize they’ve been deceived.”

The location for the transaction with the Feiheng Force was placed at the border of the Far West Land.

And the transaction with Jia Yan was within the fleet of the Great General.

”Elder Giant Mosquito, this is the god beast blood essence our Empire has preserved for many years. After handing it over this time, our Empire will no longer have such things, and we will be relieved of our burden.”

Without any special ceremony, the Great General solemnly handed Jia Yan a small box he had just received.

Whether it was the Giant Mosquito or the Feiheng Force, the Empire had analyzed that what they sought was only the Essence Blood, with no reasons to remain in the Empire, especially for the Feiheng Force, whose embarrassing situation inside the Orion Arm was well-understood by the Empire.

In such circumstances, any agreements were just paperwork without strong binding force. If the other side intended to fight, they could turn hostile at any moment—what use was an agreement?

Jia Yan looked at the small box, his demeanor showed satisfaction.

The long-anticipated item was finally in his grasp!

”My achievement of stellar level is just around the corner!” A trace of wild joy appeared in Jia Yan’s eyes.

Receiving the box, Jia Yan couldn’t wait to probe it.

The box was made of some unknown material, and even with Jia Yan’s Brainwave Power, it took a great effort to sense the items inside.

Soon, Jia Yan felt an extremely powerful attraction.

It was clearly the Senior Tian Ji’s Blood!

”Very good, our transaction is thereby complete... hmm?”

Jia Yan was about to say something with a smile, but then he suddenly froze.

”Elder Giant Mosquito, what’s the matter?” The Great General’s expression also changed. Knowing what tricks the Empire had played, upon seeing the Giant Mosquito’s expression change, he couldn’t help but ask with some guilt.

”You Empire, what audacity!” He was met with Jia Yan’s sudden, cold gaze.

Jia Yan was furious!
