Reborn As An Interstellar Giant Mosquito

Chapter 1566: Chapter 24 Request! [Request for Official Subscription]

The Great General stood at the center of the remnant fleet’s defense line, watching one news story after another about the Giant Mosquito arriving at the Great Empire, with a trace of strangeness in his eyes.

His thinking was the same as that of the upper echelons near the Emperor, which was that the Giant Mosquito’s arrival at their Great Empire was definitely not simply to help out. So, even though they were rescued because of the Giant Mosquito, he wasn’t all that happy.

”Imagine our Great Empire, boasting to be the strongest civilization in the Orion Arm, yet in the current war, we are in such dire straits, even worse than Earth civilization...”

Thinking further, the Great General could only smile bitterly.

It should be known that the Earth civilization, within the Great Empire, had long been regarded as merely an elementary civilization. Even if there was Jia Yan, the so-called strongest in the Orion Arm, stationed there, it would still take at least a few thousand years for them to catch up to the Great Empire, during which many things could happen. Thus, they had never considered Earth a threat.

But the events that followed caught the Great Empire off guard.

The enemy that the Great Empire could not withstand was resisted by Earth civilization, and a figure called the ’Giant Mosquito’ emerged. This presence elevated Earth’s status repeatedly, and countless civilized creatures wanted to become part of Earth civilization, with numerous scholars from large civilizations defecting to it.

In this way, Earth’s progress was like blowing up a balloon, rapidly expanding. Meanwhile, the Great Empire was rapidly declining due to the war, and when looking back, regardless of the level of civilization, Earth was at least catching up to a tenth of the Great Empire’s commercial level.

This was an extremely terrifying thing, considering how many years had passed. If it continued like this, it wouldn’t take long for Earth civilization to contend against the Great Empire commercially. Though they couldn’t compare in force and technology, with the Giant Mosquito present, could the Great Empire even dare to use force?

By then, the sky of the Orion Arm would change.

”The Orion Arm has always been dominated by our Great Empire; it won’t be easy for Earth civilization to catch up!”

The Great General’s eyes flashed with a vicious look, but just then, he heard his communicator ringing rapidly.

Upon seeing the frequency of the flashing, his face immediately changed. His communicator had several modes of ringing, and this speed indicated that his subordinates deemed the situation exceedingly urgent, potentially threatening the entire fleet.

”Great General Sir, the Giant Mosquito, the Giant Mosquito has arrived!”

Upon hearing this, the Great General’s face drastically paled as he put down the communicator and ran towards the room’s exit.

Other dangers, even if the enemy’s massive forces were pressing in, he was not afraid. But the arrival of the uncontrollable and overwhelmingly powerful Giant Mosquito was something that filled him with intense dread.

He immediately went to address it.

Indeed, out in the starry sky, beyond the massive fleet, appeared Jia Yan’s true body.

At this moment, he left the superfast battleship in subspace, wearing his battle armor, slowly approaching the huge fleet ahead.

In fact, the fleet ahead, though numbering in the tens of thousands, was not much different in size from the Orion Arm Allied Forces around Earth’s war zone.

What moved Jia Yan was the formation and arrangement of this fleet, which was far stronger compared to Earth’s Orion Arm Allied Forces. He could even speculate that if war broke out between the two, the Great Empire’s formation would absolutely crush the Orion Arm Allied Forces.

But the reality was so laughable; the mighty fleet of the Great Empire had not achieved a significant victory, while on the Orion Arm Allied Forces’ side, with Jia Yan’s help, there were successive victories, and now peace agreements were signed, receiving triumphant welcomes from each civilization’s populace.

”What a pity, Great General.” Thinking of this fleet commander being criticized by the populace, Jia Yan felt slightly sorry for him.

However, their relationship was far from friendly; Jia Yan merely felt sorry, without any notion of appreciating talent.

”Welcome, Elder Giant Mosquito.”

While Jia Yan was thinking about these things, a spaceship flew out from the massive fleet, expressing a very respectful welcome upon reaching him.

The one who came was the Great General, also the second prince of the Great Empire.

”No need for formality. I intended to come over and lend your fleet a hand but didn’t expect I was being unnecessary.” Jia Yan responded blandly.

The spaceship came to Jia Yan, from which emerged a being that, although not in Earth human form, bore faint signs of mixed heritage.

”Haha, that’s not true, Elder Giant Mosquito. Those madmen from the Feiheng Force fled in panic as soon as they heard your name, otherwise, our fleet might have already been annihilated.”

The Great General smiled slightly, with an ingratiating look in his eyes.

He had no choice but to ingratiate, knowing that the being before him was the enigmatic Giant Mosquito, capable of easily annihilating the tens of thousands of ships he led.

”Hmm, I happened to come over for some business. If you’re welcoming, how about I visit your fleet as a guest?” Jia Yan finally spoke in a less cold tone.

”Welcome.” The Great General felt a chill in his heart, but he could only voice his welcome.

He knew that Jia Yan saying such things meant he definitely wanted some favor from the Great Empire.

”Better him asking for favors than us not knowing what he wants.” Flashing these thoughts, the Great General led Jia Yan towards the massive fleet group under his command.

Knowing that preparing defenses was useless, he simply ordered the fleet to fully raise the security alarms and form a welcoming formation to greet Jia Yan’s arrival.

And when Jia Yan arrived at the fleet led by the Great General, the intel at Empire Star was synchronously transmitted.

”What? The Giant Mosquito has reached the Second Prince’s fleet!”

”Hurry, let the intel come in faster to see what exactly the Giant Mosquito intends to do.”

At Empire Star, the current Emperor of the Great Empire was extremely tense, as the Giant Mosquito had finally appeared directly before the upper echelon of the Great Empire, albeit before his second son, which was nonetheless a significant breakthrough.

Whether friend or foe, what the other party wants could be discerned too.

”Sir Tu Fu, you should go there quickly too. With our Empire’s more complete gravitational wave system, you’ll be there in three days.”

Simultaneously, the Emperor instructed Tu Fu.

”Yes.” Tu Fu truly didn’t want to appear before the Giant Mosquito, who could squash him effortlessly, but with his duties in mind, he had no choice but to set out.

Meanwhile, as Tu Fu set out and the Emperor was extremely tense, Jia Yan, who was being received, arrived inside the immensely large mothership of the Great General.

His time was quite valuable, and since Jia Yan was used to grand occasions, he didn’t pay much attention to the reception, so without much small talk, he directly stated his purpose.

”What? Elder Giant Mosquito, you wish for the God beast blood essence from our Great Empire!”

Upon finally understanding Jia Yan’s intention, the Great General, who was initially preparing to invite Jia Yan to taste their empire’s tea, couldn’t help but tremble.

He knew that the Giant Mosquito definitely hadn’t come with good intentions.

The blood essence, although their Great Empire couldn’t completely utilize it, didn’t mean it was useless. At the very least, they could find a way to use a diluted version to produce a powerful Strong One.

Even the Starlight Domain sent word that a diluted blood essence could be exchanged for a potion capable of creating Star Space Level beings, indicating its immense value.

”Elder Giant Mosquito.” The Great General, with a headache, ceased his actions.

”May I ask how much essence you intend to take? You should know, our Great Empire doesn’t have much God beast blood essence left, and you must understand, the Feiheng Force seeks to attack our Great Empire also for the essence. If we could just give it away, this war would have ended long ago.”

He was painstakingly choosing his words, trying every means to make the Giant Mosquito before him understand their difficulties and to get him to see their stance on the blood essence.

Of course, Jia Yan understood that the blood essence was practically a lifeline for the Great Empire.

This Empire claimed to be descendants of the divine beast; without the blood essence, they would lose their national foundation. Although it wouldn’t lead to an immediate downfall, their time would certainly be limited.

Thus, they couldn’t agree to the demands of the Feiheng Force, though it wasn’t entirely impossible to hand over the blood essence; at least, it would only be possible when the war had pushed the Great Empire to the brink of collapse.

”Don’t worry, I don’t need much.” Jia Yan said ambiguously.

”If you agree to give me the amount I require, then I can help you with the Feiheng Force issue. At the very least, your Great Empire can reclaim its territories, and even expand them by annexing the territories of nearby fallen civilizations, which won’t be a problem. And all you have to offer is just a little blood essence.”

Jia Yan’s words rendered the Great General silent for a long time.

”Elder Giant Mosquito, I’m unable to make this decision. Please allow me to discuss this with the higher-ups of the Empire before replying to you, is that alright?”

”Of course.” Jia Yan nodded.

As Jia Yan and the Great General were in negotiation, the content of their discussion was, in an almost miraculous swift manner, being transmitted to Empire Star.

The Emperor of the Great Empire and a group of senior officials immediately received this request from the Giant Mosquito.

”He too wants the blood essence of our Great Empire? What do you all think?” The Emperor, upon looking at the Giant Mosquito’s demand in the intel, almost frowned.

The importance of the blood essence was known to all, and even before, the Feiheng Force had subtly hinted that the essence holds value even for those beyond the Semi-permanent Star Level. Thus, it was understandable for the Giant Mosquito to wish for it.

But the blood essence is the lifeblood of the divine beast and has always been a cornerstone for governing the Great Empire. Just because the Feiheng Forces reached their doorstep doesn’t mean they are willing to give it away; why should it be granted to the Giant Mosquito?

”Your Majesty, I believe this blood essence must be given. Even if the Giant Mosquito wants everything, it’s not impossible.”

Suddenly, an elderly man, amidst the silence, stepped forward and expressed his opinion.

”What? Everything! Zai Lao, what are you saying!”

Upon hearing these words, a group of senior officials were almost incredulous and erupted in fury.
