Reborn As An Interstellar Giant Mosquito

Chapter 1457: Chapter 19 Dare to Fight Jia Yan? [First Burst Update]

The first update.

Jia Yan had complete confidence in the strength of his true form, unknowingly reaching such a terrifying level.

”Alright, I shouldn’t think too much about it. Let the true form cultivate well here in the Ting Tian Pavilion. Regarding cellular power, I feel I can still absorb material to reach the Starry Sky Level - Peak. After that is the bottle-neck period. Before that, my true form won’t go out, and I’ll wait for the news from the West Bala Ultra Long Space Launcher.”

Jia Yan decided where his primary focus should be in the future.

”I should put most of my spirit on the avatar. I can look at some data while on the move.”

Allowing the true form to absorb energy material, Jia Yan directed his spiritual power to the avatar.

”Another urgent report.”

The avatar was still on the journey, but as soon as it came out of subspace to rest the spacecraft, Jia Yan found that the spacecraft had received another message.

It was another SOS message, stating heavy losses and that Lord Flame had suffered significant injuries again.

”Hm, I see. The barrier wasn’t broken but was kept open for a long time by the other side using some method.”

Jia Yan, having read the message, sighed slightly in relief.

As long as no entire section of the barrier was opened, even with Semi-permanent Star Level strong beings coming through, he was confident of resisting to some extent.

Earlier, Jia Yan’s true form tried linking energy transmission, but it was unsuccessful. Presumably, the Country of Taia still hadn’t prepared the linkage transmission machines. This is like the ultra-long-range launcher developed by Xi Bala, not something that can be rushed.

So now the avatar is still in a semi-disabled state, with limited energy.

”Thankfully, there’s a small black hole. Although much smaller than the two near the true form and no space stone to stabilize and adjust, its effect will be inferior, yet it can still enhance my avatar’s strength several times.”

The spacecraft moved like a beam of light, heading toward the Orion Arm Edge.

The view shifted to the Orion Arm Edge.

Here, there was a defensive base appearing every light-year or several light-years. Although the total number of troops on the defense line was considerable, spread across long stretches, it seemed negligible.

Each base operated almost independently; some bases were even destroyed a while ago, unnoticed by others.

On this day, within a certain base on the edge of the line.

”Listen up, those bastards outside have been attacking us more frequently. We need to be more cautious here,”

In the central command of the base, a big and bold bald-headed general told his subordinates.

This general was an Imperial person, resembling Earth people, but his strength had reached the Mid-Starry Sky Period, making him quite formidable.

Yet, his subordinates, after hearing his words, did not seem all that full of fighting spirit.

To ordinary soldiers, external creatures were almost synonymous with the Reaper.

They were too strong, almost never appearing below the Honored level.

It’s known that a Respectful Existence could easily destroy a base. In the Kawai Defense Line, tales of enemies not surviving long inside the Orion Arm and eventually leaving were common, not of them being killed by any base.

”What are you afraid of? We also have strong ones in the Orion Arm, like Lord Jia Yan, Lord Flame, and Lord Lion King. With these top strong ones, we will surely win!”

The bald-headed man shouted.

But his words didn’t influence anyone.

As if by bad luck, just as he finished his talk, an alarm sounded, plunging all the soldiers into the deepest abyss of terror.

”Enemy attack! Our barrier here shows signs of being breached, and external creatures are coming.”

Upon hearing these words, the bald-headed general, unlike his fearful soldiers, almost felt a rush of adrenaline.

”Haha, here they come. I’ve always wanted to see what these so-called external beings are like.”

”Come on, get ready, fight to the death.”

The bald-headed Imperial general was excited for the upcoming battle, but his subordinates were shivering in fear, totally different from his mindset.

What they didn’t know was that outside this area, a passing ultra-fast spacecraft was coincidentally passing by.

”Hm? This vibration is...”

Jia Yan was inside the spacecraft, and as he passed by here, he sensed the mysterious vibrations in the surroundings.

”So this is the vibration of barrier destruction. The annihilation machine used by the other side must be highly powerful.”

When Jia Yan carefully sensed the fluctuations, he was somewhat surprised.

The use of high-power machines indicates that the other party is heavily investing in energy, and it seems to be aimed at sending one or two dignitaries or secondary-level strong ones into the Orion Arm. It looks like the other party is determined to succeed.

”Hmph, it’s just as well I happened to pass by here, otherwise another base would have been destroyed.”

Jia Yan actually knew that the enemy wasn’t merely playing games with their relentless attacks on bases. Previously, the Great Empire had investigated; the bases destroyed by the enemy basically didn’t have any resistance forces. The external creatures would leave instruments behind to detect things, seemingly to confirm some sort of spatial points.

If the enemy extensively probes the data on this side of the barrier, it would undoubtedly be a bad thing. It’s possible that they might break open the space en masse, allowing extremely powerful strong ones to enter.

This entry point is different from the place reported last time. Now that Jia Yan happened to pass by, he couldn’t just stand by idly.

The location at the starry sky barrier is an extremely magnificent scene.

The external creatures see the barrier as a terrifying sight extending hundreds of light-years. To enter the barrier, they need to break through what seems thin, but is actually an extremely solid barrier.

Meanwhile, the creatures inside the Orion Arm perceive the nearly transparent barrier as like looking through fog — nothing is visible.

And today, a crackling light appeared at a certain spot of the barrier.

The crack slowly expanded, and finally, the sound of space breaking began resonating in this region.

That section of barrier completely shattered.

A creature over two hundred meters in size awkwardly passed through the broken area.

”Terrifying, what is this barrier of the Orion Arm? It actually suppresses strength. My strength is at the secondary level, yet the pressure from the barrier is like being suppressed by the majesty of a semi-permanent star strong one. If a semi-permanent star-level strong one attempts to pass through, the pressure could be even greater. No wonder a small semi-permanent star senior came here previously and dared not enter.”

The monster glanced at the barrier behind, which was rapidly healing.

”I need to act fast. The surrounding pressure is still present. If I don’t return soon, it’s possible I might die from the pressure.”

The monster felt slightly anxious and took out a machine, looking around.

”It’s over there. I’ll head over quickly, complete the task, and go back; otherwise, if I stay too long, I’ll die under this pressure.”

He looked at the display screen of the machine and then swiftly flew towards the direction indicated on the screen.

It turns out that inside this mystical Orion Arm, there is a pressure that forces external creatures into near-death situations. The respectful external creature Jia Yan captured previously fell into weakness because of this and was later eliminated by the Kawai Defense Line troops.

He held the machine, flying towards the mission location.

But before that, he saw a fleet speeding towards him.

”Heh, is this the defense fleet within the Orion Arm? They react quite quickly, yet what effect can such a closed area’s fleet have on me? If they want to come and die, I’ll grant them their wish.”

He laughed lightly, seemingly disdainful of the approaching fleet.

After all, in the eyes of the biochemical empire’s force from the external world, the alleged defense fleet within the Orion Arm is a joke. Even if a few dignitaries occasionally come to resist, their strength is far inferior to the external dignitaries. As for semi-permanent star-levels, there’s even more of a disparity; this secondary-level is confident of killing the so-called semi-permanent star strong ones within the Orion Arm.

”There was someone quite decent before; think he was called... Jia Yan? He seems to have not appeared for a long time, probably scared as well.”

He faced the fleet of over a hundred ships without any concern, even having room in his mind to consider the rumors of strong ones within the Orion Arm.

The Orion Arm resistance movement has been ongoing for quite some time, not only revealing the strength within the Orion Arm almost completely. The strong ones from the external biochemical starfield forces have also taken turns entering this Orion Arm for combat.

Including this second-level creature entering. They understand that there are only three strong ones within the Orion Arm, the most formidable being the one who killed one of their secondary-level strong ones. The other two are not much feared.

The rest of the dignitaries and others get no attention; such existences might hold respectable positions within the Orion Arm, but outside, they’re worth nothing.

”I received intelligence before; there is only one starry sky level - strongest at this base. Such an existence, I can wipe out with a breath, and this is supposed to be the strongest in the entire base. It’s laughably ridiculous.”

”Even if that Jia Yan, who killed one of my force’s secondary levels, is here, I’d dare fight him. Killing him might earn me great merit.”

This external secondary-level creature is extremely confident in his strength, believing that even if the strongest within the Orion Arm is present, he can kill him.

The battle against the fleet quickly commenced.

It was almost a one-sided crush!

The battleships fired at him, yet he could easily dodge the blasts, even if he didn’t; the artillery fire had minimal effect on him.

It’s not that the artillery fire’s power isn’t strong; rather, every strong one has their own methods of countering technological artillery once they become strong. For example, Jia Yan could enter subspace, making it challenging to strike him with artillery.

And this strong one can use brainwave power to create a reflective material like a mirror. The artillery fire from the battleships reflects off this mirror, either bouncing away or reflecting back.
