”Bastard!”

Staring at ’Mo Ke’, who dared to the extreme, piloting a single-person battleship through the Liqiao Force’s fleet, Xi Sila nearly popped his eyes out in anger.

As a High-Level Talent Semi-permanent Star rank, ever since he achieved Semi-permanent Star level, he had hardly experienced such humiliation.

But today, Jia Yan not only made him recall the feeling of humiliation he experienced in his weaker years, more significantly, this ’Mo Ke’ was merely a Secondary Level being. To be so blatantly humiliated by a Secondary Level individual who fooled an entire fleet—it was no wonder he was boiling with rage.

Yet in reality, he dared not act. The name and shadow of a person carried weight. The more Xi Sila learned about Crazy Mo Ke’s past battles in the Dark Realm, the more wary he became.

Someone capable of gaining such advantages even within the Group of Futile Life in the Dark Realm, and who now dared to brazenly disrupt the Liqiao Force—this was someone Xi Sila had no intention of provoking. After all, compared to the Group of Futile Life, the Liqiao Force was still a notch weaker.

”Hahaha! Incredible!”

Inside Subspace, Jia Yan completely ignored the reactions of the Liqiao Force behind him and simply focused on flying in his battle armor.

Comparable to the Conceptual Ship, though slightly inferior, it truly did not disappoint. In fact, as Jia Yan flew, he even noticed that in some functionalities, it surpassed the Conceptual Ship.

”The distinction between first and second is always subjective. Especially when Grandpa Xi Bala back then judged from a scientist’s perspective, he naturally deemed the long-range capabilities of the Conceptual Ship superior. However, this battle armor solely designed for combat support surprised me—its combat assistance functions seem to be even better than the Conceptual Ship.”

As Jia Yan flew, he continuously tested the battle armor’s systems.

In certain metrics, the data output by the battle armor far exceeded that of the Conceptual Ship.

”It’s just that the energy stability is a bit lacking; I’ll need to watch out.”

Analyzing it all, Jia Yan, alongside his avatar, flew toward a specific direction within the Liqiao Force’s territory.

In truth, claiming that the battle armor lacked long-range flight capabilities was only relative. While its energy conversion rate couldn’t match that of the Conceptual Ship, with Jia Yan’s Subspace capabilities and a mountain-like store of energy materials dragging behind him, the issue of long-range travel became negligible. Especially since Jia Yan’s flight relied on Subspace, the speed difference was minimal. For Jia Yan, the battle armor unexpectedly served as a near-perfect substitute for the Conceptual Ship.

”And then there’s that thing Xi Bala mentioned. If my guess is correct, once completed, it might make this battle armor far surpass the Conceptual Ship. The saying ’a blessing in disguise’ might just apply to me this time!”

Thinking about the item Xi Bala had discussed, Jia Yan grew even more fervent.

He landed on a deserted star at the edge of the Liqiao Force’s territory.

For a few days, Jia Yan waited on this astral body, unhurried.

Even if Xi Bala decided to report him, the Liqiao Force’s previous stance toward Jia Yan was clear—they would neither provoke him nor engage in conflict lightly, even at a small cost. Thus, he wasn’t worried about Xi Bala bringing a group of Liqiao troops his way.

To some extent, Jia Yan even placed a certain amount of trust in Xi Bala.

Sure enough, three days later, a single-person battleship wobbled its way toward the star.

Thanks to the advanced capabilities of the battle armor, Jia Yan had sensed the battleship from 10,000 kilometers away and determined it housed only one individual: the peculiar being Xi Bala.

”Lord Jia Yan, you’re still waiting for me! I’m so touched!”

After parking the battleship some distance away, Xi Bala flew in Jia Yan’s direction.

”Heh, Xi Bala, it’s been a while.” While Jia Yan didn’t hold a particularly deep regard for this admirer, he did harbor some goodwill toward her. Despite her earlier exposure of his presence, the event indirectly led him to the battle armor, balancing out her merits and faults.

Xi Bala felt overwhelmingly moved, interpreting Jia Yan’s forgiveness as magnanimity. Were it not for their differing species, she might have been on the brink of pledging herself to him.

After a short chat, Jia Yan expressed that he had other matters to attend to and requested that she bring out her research results.

”Oh, right! Lord Jia Yan must be so busy—you’re right, I’ll take it out immediately.”

Xi Bala returned to her battleship. When she reappeared, she was accompanied by a chunk of memory-metal material resembling the battle armor.

”Is this what you were talking about?”

In the glow of his Compound Eyes, Jia Yan observed the material intently, a faint glimmer flickering within.

”Indeed. According to my grandfather’s notes, his greatest regret in life was failing to resolve a particular breakthrough point for the battle armor. If he had completed this component earlier, the battle armor would have been his masterpiece. Using most of the raw materials and semi-finished products he left behind, I’ve managed to construct this prototype. However, its functionality is somewhat inferior to his vision, and it also has endurance issues. So my apologies, Mister Jia Yan, this is the best I could do.”

”Haha, I’m grateful just to receive this. How could I possibly blame you?”

An excited gleam flashed in Jia Yan’s Compound Eyes as he examined the piece of pitch-black memory metal resembling the size of the battle armor. He couldn’t hide the delighted expression on his face.

In truth, even though Xi Bala admitted she didn’t fully understand how much of a boost this component could provide to the armor, Jia Yan firmly believed that the creators of the Conceptual Ship and the armor wouldn’t exaggerate their capabilities.

”Alright, Xi Bala, no matter how enjoyable this moment is, we must part ways. I’m sure we’ll meet again in the future. Goodbye for now.”

Jia Yan’s statement hinted that he might require Xi Bala’s assistance again in the future. Despite being a monstrous being, her scientific prowess was noteworthy, and her integrity—shown by keeping Jia Yan’s secrets—made her a reliable ally.

”Goodbye, Lord Jia Yan. Please... don’t forget about me.”

Xi Bala seemed on the verge of tears—an emotional farewell akin to a diehard fan parting ways with their idol. In her mind, this felt like a noble, soul-stirring moment.

Ahem, but let’s not call her brainless—doing so would offend countless girls on Earth, transforming anyone who dared into their sworn enemy.

Not long afterward, a streak of dark light shot up from the star, entering Subspace and vanishing in an instant.

”Hahaha, I experienced so much with Lord Jia Yan! I’ll anonymously post about this and make everyone jealous!”

Shortly after Jia Yan’s departure, Xi Bala couldn’t wait to document the events and share them online. Of course, she left out the parts Jia Yan had forbidden her from mentioning.

Jia Yan, unaware that Xi Bala was recording his exploits, was unconcerned. As he grew stronger, his worry about potential leaks diminished.

”For now, I’ll return to the Dark Realm. Integrating this component with the battle armor will take time, and the Ting Tian Pavilion will offer the perfect convenience.”

Looking at the massive clump of memory-metal material he carried, Jia Yan’s excitement intensified.

Simultaneously, he entertained the notion of returning to the Tianhe Force. After all, it wasn’t far.

But after some thought, he dismissed the idea.

The Group of Futile Life was still causing him trouble, and the North Group, upon learning he indirectly killed one of their Semi-permanent Star-level warriors, would definitely target him. Although Jia Yan wasn’t particularly fearful, the repercussions for the Tianhe Force could be significant—even if they weren’t annihilated, they would face immense trouble. It made more sense to wait until he grew stronger and could directly threaten the two Dark Realm forces.

”This battle armor really is a bit slow.”

During his flight, even at a pace of tens of thousands of kilometers per step in Subspace, Jia Yan noticed the battle armor was significantly slower compared to the Conceptual Ship.

Additionally, its energy consumption was much higher. If he hadn’t prepared a substantial supply of high-energy material beforehand, he might already be out of energy.

”During the trip back to the Dark Realm’s Ting Tian Pavilion, there’s still time remaining. I might as well revisit Earth with my avatar to guide my niece and Jia Rong. The Great Empire may react soon too.”

Realizing the battle armor’s slower speed during his journey, Jia Yan decided to shift his focus to Earth, both to change his mood and teach his younger relatives.

”Moreover, I have a faint feeling that Earth and this Genius Battlefield are gradually forming some connection... though the possibility remains small, considering the vast distance between the two.”

Jia Yan had been suspicious of a potential connection between Earth and the Genius Battlefield ever since he encountered tales of Evolutionary Creatures in the latter. Yet, concrete evidence had eluded him thus far.

To investigate further, he considered spending more time on Earth, specifically researching the Orion Arm’s surrounding data. Engaging with the Great Empire might reveal some clues as well.

With this in mind, Jia Yan slowly began transferring his spirit.

The quantum-entangled connection between his avatar and true body spanned the cosmos, ensuring almost no latency despite the immense distance.

”I completely forgot—I should have asked Xi Bala how to strengthen my avatar...”

As Jia Yan synchronized with his avatar, a sudden thought halted him, prompting a bitter smile. The chaos within the Liqiao Force had caused him to overlook the matter entirely.

”Subspace lacks a signal for communication. I’ll contact her from the Ting Tian Pavilion later. For now, powering up the avatar isn’t urgent.”

After some thought, Jia Yan decided to postpone the matter.

Little did he expect that this decision would lead to a situation he would later regret.

Pop!

Jia Yan’s spirit shifted slightly. In an instant, he felt his consciousness pierce through an infinite expanse of space. With a faint sound, he descended into a slightly unfamiliar body.

Thus, he arrived in his avatar!

”So weak.”

The first thought Jia Yan had upon entering his avatar was how feeble it felt.

Opening his eyes, Jia Yan glanced around.

He was still within his room inside the Jia family estate.

”Hmm? Why is no one from my family here in Jia’s house? Strange.”

Expanding his Brainwave Power, Jia Yan’s heart jolted mildly in surprise.

Within the reach of his Brainwave Power, none of his family members were present within the Jia family estate.
