Reborn As An Interstellar Giant Mosquito

Chapter 1418: Chapter 30 Emissary Alliance [Seeking Official Subscription]

Earth people indeed were shaken by Jia Yan again, but it wasn’t because of the minor changes in his familial relationships.

It was due to the heated discussions sparked by Jia Yan’s recent meeting with the ’Great Empire’ emissary.

The previous emissary from the Great Empire acted arrogantly on Earth, embodying the demeanor of a superior empire addressing a subordinate one.

Yet, despite being aware of their strength, the Earth Alliance dared not oppose them. They even allowed the emissary to take away the technological biological entities provided by Auster Empire and Ru Lan Empire to support Earth’s civilization.

To Earth people, this was downright humiliating. But they were powerless to contest it, as the opponent’s raw strength left them no choice.

Before, some individuals on the internet even questioned whether Jia Yan was afraid to challenge the Great Empire, wondering why he hadn’t appeared.

However, when things seemed headed toward an irreversible outcome, Jia Yan finally emerged.

Not only did he appear, but with seeming ease, he forced the Great Empire’s emissary to retreat in disgrace. Though only the emissary and Jia Yan knew the exact details of what transpired, that didn’t stop Earth people from speculating wildly. In fact, some analytical minds on Earth got pretty close to the truth in their deductions.

”It must be Lord Jia Yan who taught that emissary a lesson. Otherwise, why would he leave in such a sorry state, and now even as we rant about him online, he doesn’t dare to retaliate!”

”Exactly. When he first arrived, we roasted him online, but the next day intelligence personnel showed up to investigate us, scaring us into silence. Now, he’s clearly being suppressed by Lord Jia Yan. Nobody cares what we say about him anymore.”

”Haha, long live Lord Jia Yan! What Great Empire? Clearly, they’re nothing when faced with Lord Jia Yan’s might; they don’t even dare to speak!”

Most netizens on Earth were deeply admiring of Jia Yan, though there was always a small faction of baseless critics. These people bashed Jia Yan relentlessly, even accusing him of being a covert agent of the Great Empire working to harm Earth people.

Thankfully, this group was small, and their reputations were so bad online that their comments didn’t stir public opinion much.

Jia Yan didn’t bother with the noise on Earth’s internet. To him, Earth was but a tiny place now. His true body could annihilate the organisms of any Earth-like planet with ease.

His focus was on safeguarding the future of Earth’s civilization, ensuring that this fledgling society wouldn’t disappear during its formative years. After all, he had chosen Earth as his mother star.

”That Jia Yan is far too arrogant, thinking that just because he bested me in battle, he could stand against my entire civilization? What utter insolence, even daring to look down on my Great Empire!”

Meanwhile, as heated public discussions continued across Earth and its people celebrated, the Great Empire’s emissary stood before a strange flying device in Huaxia Capital, seething with frustration.

As an emissary of the Great Empire, his distinguished status was universally respected. Those who showed him disrespect inevitably succumbed to the empire’s iron resolve. Yet Jia Yan dared defy him. His failure this time might well become the joke of a lifetime among the other emissaries.

”But his strength is certainly strange. My brainwave power undeniably surpasses his, and yet he only appears to be an ordinary Respectful One who just advanced. How could he possess such terrifying power?”

After venting his anger, the emissary calmed down. Despite his frustration, his role as both a strong warrior and a diplomat of the Great Empire meant his brain wasn’t solely for shouting.

Unable to figure it out, the emissary activated the peculiar flying device before him.

”Hmph, I’ll now send signals to the nearby emissaries. With the Great Empire’s unique gravitational wave mobility, they will arrive quickly. Jia Yan may be formidable, but can he really stand against several emissaries working together?”

Soon, a specialized communication signal was launched toward the Universe Starry Sky by the emissary.

Life in the Orion Arm differed noticeably from external civilizations. Compared to the places Jia Yan had visited, disparities existed not only in levels of strong individuals but also in the direction civilizations developed.

Uniquely, the most powerful empires in the Orion Arm relied on gravitational wave mobility for long-distance movement instead of space jump pathways.

Even interstellar communication was facilitated through gravitational waves.

This method of transmission, however, wasn’t particularly fast.

It took three entire days for the emissary’s signal to reach nearby emissaries within dozens of light-years.

This was only because the Great Empire’s emissaries had stationed relay devices across the starfield long ago; otherwise, communication would have taken even longer.

”Hmm? So Earth actually has a strong warrior defying our Great Empire? And one that fellow couldn’t defeat? Haha, intriguing.”

”Earth, huh? Wasn’t it previously mentioned by a few civilizations that, despite lacking overall advanced technology and possessing few strong individuals, it harbored a top-level warrior? Could the rebel be that top-level warrior?”

”Ridiculous. A mere Respectful One might fend off an emissary, but fighting us teamed up would be suicidal. Still, a trip would be interesting. Perhaps we can mock that fool along the way.”

...

As responses to the emissary’s communication soon arrived, emissaries from the Auster Empire, Ru Lan Empire, and several nearby empires prepared to move toward Earth.

”Hmph, they mock me now, but wait until they face Jia Yan. Let’s see if they’re still laughing afterward.”

The Great Empire’s emissary on Earth smirked faintly upon receiving the replies.

”No matter what, once they arrive, even Jia Yan’s immense strength will render him helpless against our combined forces. Unless he wields the terrifying power of our empire’s top Respectful Ones—something impossible, of course.”

He settled into a state of calm, now able to browse the internet discussions criticizing him with ease.

After all, once the emissaries arrived and defeated Jia Yan, he could justify his actions in the name of avenging the insult to the Great Empire. Together, they could obliterate this tiny Earth civilization completely.

”Keep insulting me. The more you do, the more viciously I’ll retaliate when the time comes.”

Reading online posts slamming him and the Great Empire, a cruel look overtook the emissary’s face.

Back at Jia Family Courtyard, Jia Yan awaited the emissary’s move.

Having roamed the Universe for years, Jia Yan wasn’t naïve enough to believe this matter would be resolved so easily.

In fact, he’d already deduced that the emissary wouldn’t simply report his words back to the Great Empire’s headquarters but would likely join forces with comrades nearby to challenge Jia Yan again.

”If he truly makes such a brainless decision, then I won’t hold back.”

Inside his room, Jia Yan pondered calmly.

”Uncle Jiu, Uncle Jiu.”

As Jia Yan immersed himself in thought, a soft voice belonging to a small girl rang out from outside.

Jia Yan smiled faintly, instantly knowing who had arrived.

He walked to the door and opened it, spotting a petite figure outside, too small to reach the lock.

This was Jia Ruo, Jia Yan’s little niece.

”Uncle Jiu, Ruo Ruo wants to learn fighting from Uncle Jiu,” Ruo Ruo declared boldly as her first words.

”Uh. Uncle Jiu doesn’t really teach fighting.” Jia Yan rubbed his nose helplessly, believing her words weren’t entirely wrong—after all, his fights extended to the universe itself.

”Mom said there are some snacks she made last night here that Uncle Jiu likes.”

Apparently inheriting her elder sister’s style of addressing him, little Jia Ruo had now started calling Jia Yan ”Uncle Jiu,” just as Xiao Qi finally stopped.

After placing the snacks, Jia Yan was about to begin instructing Jia Ruo when a knock on the door interrupted him.

Jia Yan’s expression shifted slightly as he opened the door with brainwave power.

”Aunt said I should come over...”

Standing at the door was a young boy, looking timidly at Jia Yan.

He was Jia Yan’s nominal ’son’—Jia Rong.

”Come in,” Jia Yan said with a wry smile, understanding that his sister was trying to mend the strained relationship between Jia Yan and Samo Ling’s son.

Jia Rong cautiously entered.

Jia Yan noticed he was dressed in a school uniform, indicating that his earlier words had worked—Samo Ling had agreed to send Jia Rong to school.

Soon after, on the lawn outside Jia Yan’s house:

”Uncle Jiu, is brainwave power used like this?”

Little Jia Ruo enthusiastically tried to follow Jia Yan’s guidance, using her brainwave power to repeatedly toss and catch a small stone.

”Not bad, Ruo Ruo’s incredible.” Jia Yan patted her head gently in approval.

Nearby, Jia Rong looked unimpressed. Though similar in age to Jia Ruo, his capabilities far exceeded hers.

Of course, Jia Rong understood that his origins gave him an unfair advantage compared to Jia Ruo, so he remained silent.

”Alright, now it’s your turn, Jia Rong. Didn’t you once say a few years back that you wanted to surpass me? Show me how much you’ve progressed now.”

Jia Yan turned to Jia Rong, watching him closely.

Jia Rong’s expression shifted, a flash of the rebellious spirit from years ago appearing faintly.

Boom!

Jia Rong shot skyward.

As a Mid Celestial Level warrior, his abilities were undoubtedly impressive; soaring through the skies was effortless for him.

In mid-air, he moved his arm, channeling brainwave power to uproot a tree with a diameter of two meters from the ground below.

Whoosh, whoosh, whoosh.

The tree danced in the air, held aloft with no signs of strain or lack of control, showcasing the mastery Jia Rong had over his powers.

”Very good. It seems your understanding of brainwave power has grown remarkably proficient,” Jia Yan praised with a satisfied nod.
