”Uncle Jiu, when will Little Ruo be able to fly like Brother Rong?”

Just as Jia Yan praised Jia Rong, Jia Ruo, who was standing beside him and playing with stones using her Brainwave Power, looked dissatisfied and pointed at Jia Rong, who was happily flying in the sky, and asked.

”Little Ruo, don’t rush. When you grow up, you’ll be able to fly,” Jia Yan replied to her helplessly.

”Then when can I be stronger than Brother Rong?” Little Ruo Ruo seemed to grow a bit smug after receiving Jia Yan’s assurance.

”Uh...” Jia Yan didn’t know how to answer.

To say she could surpass Jia Rong, that was absolutely impossible—even if Jia Rong couldn’t surpass him, his bloodline was remarkably extraordinary. For Earth people to compare with him was basically out of the question.

But if he told her directly, Little Ruo Ruo would surely feel discouraged.

”Little Sister Ruo, my mother said you’ll never surpass me,” Jia Rong’s voice called out with a cold snort from high above.

Jia Rong had seen how Jia Yan treated Jia Ruo kindly earlier and felt a bit jealous. Being a child himself, he immediately began taunting her.

”Hmph, no! Brother Rong is bad!” Jia Ruo’s little nose twitched, and with a snap of her finger, the small stone she controlled with her Brainwave Power shot upward like a bullet, aiming at Jia Rong, who was dozens of meters in the air.

”Trying to hit me?” Jia Rong was slightly angered as well. His small face suddenly showed a concentrated expression, and then his Brainwave Power surged downward. Instantly, his Mid Celestial Level strength deflected the small stone completely, with a ripple of energy spreading toward Jia Ruo.

If this strike hit, Jia Ruo wouldn’t suffer a major injury but would certainly have minor abrasions.

”Release!”

Jia Yan, who had been observing this scene all along, finally spoke.

Immediately, Jia Rong’s descending Brainwave Power dissipated into nothingness.

Jia Rong, who was mid-air, suddenly felt an irresistible force completely seize him, bringing him steadily down to the ground.

Jia Rong was utterly stunned this time, even feeling frightened.

One must know, despite his recent pranks, even his far stronger mother, Samo Ling, could only punish him cautiously without harming him. Yet Jia Yan now used a power that grabbed him completely, leaving him with zero resistance.

At this moment, Jia Rong, who thought he had made great progress over the last few years, finally understood the gap in strength between himself and Jia Yan.

”Little Sister Ruo is still so young. How can you seriously compete with her? And you even got mad—what kind of older brother is that? Apologize to your sister,” Jia Yan looked angrily at Jia Rong and scolded him.

From this behavior alone, it was evident that Jia Rong hadn’t been disciplined enough. After all, Samo Ling, though a mother, was also an extra-terrestrial being. Jia Yan recalled how Samo Ling’s father on Grey-Yellow Star hadn’t disciplined her much, a trait she likely passed on to her son by being overly lax with him.

Jia Yan couldn’t allow this to continue because, even though Jia Rong’s strength was currently low, in a few years he might reach the Sky-level peak. At that point, even with Samo Ling still capable of controlling him, there’s always the risk of his unforeseen promotion to Dignitary status—a level where, on Earth, no one would be able to restrain him.

If left unchecked at that point, it wasn’t out of question for Jia Yan’s return from interstellar travels one day to find Earth destroyed by this brat.

For the sake of the future, Jia Yan couldn’t afford to make such a mistake.

”I refuse. My mother told me that weaker individuals must respect the strong. If Ruo dares to hit me, I should teach her a lesson!”

This brat had a plethora of ’reasoning,’ all of which he had heard from his mother.

”Don’t believe your mother on this. Now apologize,” Jia Yan insisted, feeling somewhat exasperated. Previously, he assumed Samo Ling could rein him in, but hearing this now, he realized her own personality might be problematic.

”I won’t!” Jia Rong shook his head vehemently.

No matter how much he struggled, the invisible force surrounding him kept him firmly restrained, unable to move.

”Looks like I’ll need to properly educate this child in the coming days.”

Jia Yan sighed with a bitter smile. Even with all his strength, he had no great solution for educating a child like Jia Rong.

Fortunately, Jia Rong was still somewhat afraid of Jia Yan. Especially when Jia Yan, in a fit of anger, threw him to an altitude of 10,000 meters in the atmosphere, causing his breathing to become rapid. At last, crying, he grudgingly agreed to apologize.

Though he apologized, Jia Yan could tell from his gaze that Jia Rong still looked somewhat unwilling.

Even though Jia Yan possessed immense strength, the task of educating children left him perpetually frustrated. It even caused him to develop a newfound respect for educators.

Meanwhile, on the side of the Great Empire’s envoy, it seemed as if they had completely disappeared. During this period, while Jia Yan remained at the Jia Family Courtyard educating Jia Rong, there was no activity from their end.

In the towering building standing in the center of Huaxia’s capital that housed the Great Empire’s emissary, not a single disturbance occurred for nearly half a month. The intelligence personnel, who had been keeping a close watch over the area, finally relaxed a bit after days of tension.

During these days, Jia Yan also spent time examining the data transferred earlier to his simple Smart Brain by the envoy.

”I see, so this is the origin of the Great Empire.”

After digesting the immense amount of information and roughly mastering the Great Empire’s language, Jia Yan finally nodded in understanding.

The origin of the Great Empire was, in essence, simple and something Jia Yan had previously speculated about. As it turns out, thousands of years ago, the Great Empire fought alongside a certain ’Evolution Beast’ predecessor whom Jia Yan had suspected earlier. Together, they repelled an invading enemy. Yet the predecessor perished heroically, and at that time, the Great Empire was merely a minor kingdom.

In a bid to seize power after the demise of this strong figure, they began referring to the Evolution Beast predecessor Houyi as a ’Divine Beast.’ Leveraging this narrative, they rapidly expanded their influence, growing from a small kingdom to the world-dominating Great Empire over the course of millennia.

Of course, the official records in the data didn’t frame it this way. Yet the truth was apparent when piecing together their actions from history.

”As for the invaders they claimed to have repelled, could they possibly be the same enemies from back then? It’s unlikely since even that predecessor perished against such an entity. Why would the Great Empire dare remain behind to resist them?”

”So what exactly is the Biochemical Empire?”

Jia Yan had been speculating whether the Biochemical Empire might be based somewhere in the Orion Arm’s vicinity.

However, after searching through the star charts of forces near the Orion Arm via his True Body during his time in the Genius Battlefield, Jia Yan couldn’t find any force resembling the Biochemical Empire—not even a small one.

”I’ve asked Samo Ling about it as well, but she doesn’t know much about the Biochemical Empire either. Since her birthplace was Grey-Yellow Star, no one has ever shared insider information regarding the Biochemical Empire with her.”

Jia Yan felt a bit troubled—not about the Great Empire, but concerning his past encounters with the Biochemical Empire.

This force seemed exceedingly peculiar to him—not just in terms of their displayed strength but also in how alien they were to this entire Starfield, including the Genius Battlefield and Northern Star Domain.

Their combat methods were noticeably distinct, their strong ones had unique forms, and even their ability to generate strong individuals through technological means was deeply unsettling to Jia Yan.

”Hmm?”

As Jia Yan pondered the mysteries of the Biochemical Empire, his expression suddenly stiffened.

It wasn’t a matter with his avatar but rather something from his True Body.

”Oh, it turns out I’ve arrived at the Liqiao Force now.”

Jia Yan had sensed a slight alert from his True Body moments ago. However, after focusing his spirit briefly, he didn’t detect anything unusual.

Relaxing his spirit somewhat, he transitioned attention toward his True Body.

”Compared to the avatar’s strength, the True Body feels much better.”

Returning to his True Body, Jia Yan experienced unparalleled comfort—a stark difference compared to inhabiting his avatar.

Despite both being at the Dignitary level, his True Body’s combat capabilities massively outperformed that of his avatar. Reuniting with it felt exceptionally satisfying.

”The Liqiao Force lies near the Tianhe Force, but I can’t return now. Beyond the North Group, I’ve provoked too many forces. A single careless mistake might bring the flames of war upon Tianhe Force, to whom I owe a great debt. I can’t commit an act of ingratitude like that.”

Jia Yan settled on his plan and activated the Conceptual Ship piloted by his True Body, heading deeper into Liqiao Force territory.

His reason for entering the Liqiao Force was to repair the Conceptual Ship—compared to the ongoing crisis on Earth, this task seemed comparatively less urgent. As he flew, Jia Yan simply needed to focus slightly and inquire about locations of powerful technology workshops within Liqiao Force’s planetary systems.

Thus, though his True Body required some attention, Jia Yan confidently diverted most of his spirit back to his avatar.

”Uncle Jiu, I can now lift two stones at the same time. Haha.”

Back at the avatar’s location, a little girl was hugging Jia Yan’s leg, giggling with joy.

”Is there a technology workshop nearby...” Jia Yan found himself interrupted and looked down with a grin. He originally intended to compliment her but accidentally began articulating thoughts meant for a different context.

”Cough, cough. Little Ruo Ruo, you’ve done great. Controlling two stones to fly simultaneously might seem simple now, but it’ll be of great help to your growth in the future,” Jia Yan swiftly shifted his words, encouraging Ruo Ruo.

”Mm-hmm, Ruo is very talented, isn’t she?” Jia Ruo peeked expectantly at Jia Yan.

”Yes, Ruo is remarkable,” Jia Yan nodded.

However, a displeased snort from a young boy could be heard nearby—Jia Rong was jealous again.

Jia Yan sighed inwardly. Parenting was so challenging.

”Huh? They’ve finally arrived?” Just as Jia Yan was about to speak to Jia Rong, his expression subtly shifted.

His gaze turned skyward, revealing traces of joy in his eyes. After continuously switching between two bodies, the arrival of certain individuals brought relief—perhaps now things could be resolved sooner.

”Uncle Jiu, what happened?” Ruo hugged Jia Yan’s leg, pouting as if upset that he wasn’t paying attention to her.

”Uncle has some matters to attend to. You keep practicing here for a while; maybe later you’ll see fireworks, but Ruo, don’t be scared,” Jia Yan said as he patted her little head. Then, nodding in Jia Rong’s direction, he indicated that the boy should have an inkling of what was unfolding in the heavens above, even if he couldn’t directly sense the forces there.

Afterward, Jia Yan stamped the ground beneath his feet and shot skyward, disappearing in a flash of Lightning.
