Reborn As An Interstellar Giant Mosquito

Chapter 1347: Chapter 50 Is Jia Yan Actually a Top-Level Genius?! [Subscribe to the Official Version]

Xi Fei was about to explain something but, after hearing Longta’s words, decided against it.

In fact, similar incidents between the two major Starfields happened frequently, and those sent to provoke were almost always the most powerful geniuses of their respective Starfields.

The group of geniuses brought by Xi Fei was not just his personal disciples but rather treasures of the entire Stellar Academy.

Everyone knew this, so he chose not to elaborate further.

”These two Respect-Level students have heavy advancement tasks and very little time to wait. I’ll give you one month. You should either report to the high-level officials of the Genius Battlefield immediately or head to the Central Star Area to find knowledgeable geniuses. Maybe there’s still time.”

”One month?” Longta nodded slightly upon hearing this.

Then, his gaze shifted toward the crowd of genius combatants below.

Among the genius elites of the Elong Power below, including some hidden talents among the onlookers, those who met Longta’s gaze either shrank back in fear or nodded respectfully toward him.

But there was one genius who stood out!

He was a genius currently covered in a radiant blue hue.

His Compound Eyes met Longta’s gaze, then flicked toward the two Honorable ones who had emerged from the Void. A flash of fighting spirit flickered across the surface of his body, as though he held no fear of the so-called ”top geniuses”!

Longta smiled faintly.

”Xi Fei, I appreciate you giving me a month, but these two Respect-Level juniors are geniuses among geniuses. I wouldn’t dare disturb their cultivation time. How about this: I think there’s no need for a month. There’s already a suitable genius here now to face them in battle. This way, they can quickly finish and return to their training.”

Longta’s gaze swept across the genius combat stage of the Elong Power, then locked onto the unassuming figure of Jia Yan amidst the crowd of towering monsters below.

Then, under the watchful eyes of millions of creatures, Longta gently spoke.

”Jia Yan, step forward.”

Shh...

Almost instantly, countless gazes and innumerable recording devices turned toward Jia Yan, whose body was merely a fraction of the size of the surrounding creatures.

They were shocked. They were awestruck.

What shocked them was that, in a matter involving the reputation of the entire Genius Battlefield, Longta actually called upon an Honorable individual.

What left them awestruck was the trust this distinguished Stellar-Level official of the Genius Battlefield placed in Jia Yan, an Honorable.

Amid the attention of the masses, Jia Yan, however, showed no trace of surprise.

The moment his gaze had crossed with Longta’s before, he seemed to have caught on to this intention and had responded with a glimmer of fighting spirit in his own eyes.

”Here.”

Jia Yan replied in a voice as calm as an ancient well. Then, he slowly ascended from among the ordinary geniuses.

The moment he took flight, the brilliance that seemed hidden before burst forth in full!

His radiant blue figure and confident gaze; everything about him exuded a commanding aura that left onlookers unable to meet his eyes.

As Jia Yan rose, he felt like a radiant blue sun ascending higher and higher in the sky. Comparing him to the two Respect-Level individuals from the Stellar Academy standing in the Void, there was no sense of inferiority, only an evenly matched fervor.

”This...!?”

Up in the skies, Xi Fei gazed at Jia Yan as he ascended, his expression betraying his uncontainable astonishment.

He originally thought that a region as remote as this could never produce a Genius Battlefield contestant, but now it seemed he had been terribly mistaken!

In this place, where even High-Level Geniuses should not exist, a being suspected of possessing high-level advanced talent had emerged.

Yes, from Xi Fei’s Stellar-Level perspective, Jia Yan’s exhibited talent felt like that of a high-level advanced genius after all.

But Xi Fei knew the two geniuses he had brought were merely high-level advanced powerhouses. Per the unwritten agreement between the two Starfields in their talent struggles, deploying top-tier geniuses was rarely done.

”I can’t believe Longta had a high-level genius by his side all along. Did he anticipate my arrival and prepare in advance? Either way, this high-level genius is only at the late stage of Respect Level. I can sense it too—he’s newly advanced to the late stage. Compared to the Peak Respect Level genius on my side, even my late-stage genius may be more than enough.”

”Greetings to Senior Longta and Senior Xi Fei.”

Jia Yan approached Longta, respectfully greeted him, and then also acknowledged Xi Fei’s direction.

”Haha, Jia Yan, I never imagined the day would come when I’d call on you. You’ve seen what’s been happening. I need you to defeat these two individuals. What do you think? Confident?”

Longta, observing Jia Yan’s calm demeanor—even when faced with two Stellar-Level figures—smiled in evident satisfaction.

”At Senior Longta’s command, Jia Yan is willing to serve. Confidence is hard to assert, but at the very least, I can solve one problem for you, Senior.”

Jia Yan responded with a faint smile.

His gaze swept dismissively over the late-stage member of the two Respect-Level figures in the sky, as if he were certain of victory.

To be fair, Jia Yan was indeed thrilled. Initially, he assumed he’d gain little from the Elong Power’s genius battles. Fighting against Semi-permanent Star-Level geniuses, even in defeat, would only boil down to weaker energy capacities; he wouldn’t discover better combat techniques here in the 132 Star Zone’s Semi-permanent Star-Level.

But he hadn’t expected Xi Fei’s intervention at the eleventh hour.

The chance to spar with a powerful genius from another Starfield? Jia Yan naturally welcomed it!

”Good! Excellent! Longta, I underestimated your Genius Battlefield. It’s not the same as when I left. Even in such a Border Star Area, I’ve managed to encounter such an intimidating genius. Very well, he’s at the late stage of Respect Level, comparable in Brainwave Power to the late-stage genius on my side. Let them battle now. Meanwhile, you can also find a Peak Respect Level figure of yours to duel against my Peak-Level genius.”

Xi Fei, upon seeing Jia Yan ascend to Longta’s side, especially after their brief exchange, realized Jia Yan was to face off against his Respect-Level genius. He responded coldly, his eyes glinting with sharp intent.

Initially, he’d insisted on summoning reinforcements from the Genius Battlefield’s Central Star District. To have Longta point out a formidable genius on the spot was nothing short of a public humiliation.

”When the fight begins, strike to kill.” He spat with barely contained fury, directing his Exalted genius, who stood at the late stage.

”Leave it to me,” said the genius softly, his gaze toward Jia Yan brimming with murder. Certainly, Jia Yan’s earlier veiled disrespect fanned this flame.

As preparations neared completion and spectators awaited Jia Yan’s rise from beneath, Jia Yan himself interrupted, remaining motionless. ”Senior Xi Fei, as I mentioned earlier, I aim to fight both of your geniuses. After defeating this late-stage opponent, I’ll challenge the Peak-Level genius.”

”You bastard! Do you think you’re guaranteed to beat me?!”

The late-stage genius roared, his Brainwave Power radiating anger at Jia Yan’s slight.

”That’s right—I guarantee victory over you.”

Jia Yan’s words were calm, unyielding.

”Enough of the verbal sparring, both of you,” Xi Fei said darkly, surveying Jia Yan and his own genius critically.

”Jia Yan, don’t talk big. Defeat Ma Qi first, and then I’ll allow you to fight Duo Jian. Otherwise, all your boasting is meaningless.”

Jia Yan’s Compound Eyes gleamed faintly in acknowledgment. He nodded once to Longta.

Without further ado, he flew toward the more open region of space.

”Kid, your name is Jia Yan, right? You’ll pay for your words.”

The late-stage genius—a top-tier talent of the Stellar Academy—also slowly advanced. His status in the academy was undeniably high; even top-tier geniuses wouldn’t look down on him. But by now, his patience with Jia Yan was entirely spent.

Still, as a genius with a sense of composure, he didn’t let his rage dominate his demeanor.

”Please, enlighten me.”

Jia Yan, on the other hand, dismissed the taunts outright. Perhaps he had simply heard too much trash talk in his life. His mental fortitude stood leagues above his opponent’s.

Only moments ago, he had been entrenched in the genius battles of the Elong Power, never expecting to be thrust into an entirely different battle against a foreign Starfield’s prodigies. Such was the unpredictability of life!

As his opponent approached, Jia Yan mused, quietly adjusting his mindset without neglecting the gravity of the duel.

”He is destined to be strong—but so am I. Even Adisa spoke highly of my current capabilities, insisting I wouldn’t falter even against top-tier talents. At worst, I’d have to retreat.”

Jia Yan’s eyes burned with fighting spirit. Longta’s earlier transmitted words had conveyed that this late-stage genius, along with the Peak-Level one, were merely among the upper tier of high-level talents—a small step below true top-tier geniuses.

Still, Longta wasn’t aware of all of Jia Yan’s hidden advantages. More importantly, Jia Yan’s talent wasn’t static; it continued to evolve. Thus, his confidence stemmed from his unique strengths.

”Enlighten you? Very well, I’ll show you the strength of our Stellar Academy.”

The late-stage genius resembled a monster whose stature wasn’t much different from Jia Yan’s. Twin heads, with jagged ridges protruding across his uneven frame, made it look as though restless volcanoes roamed beneath his flesh.

Hovering against the vast backdrop of interstellar space, Jia Yan met his opponent’s gaze.

Their battle was inevitable.

Meanwhile, the creatures below couldn’t believe what they were witnessing.

”Holy... Jia Yan is standing toe-to-toe with that self-proclaimed top-level genius! Even the two Stellar-Level authorities show no doubt in his ability. Could this mean... Jia Yan is himself a top-tier genius? I-I-I...”

”So that’s it! I’ve been blind! Jia Yan is clearly a top-tier genius. How else could he, as an Honorable, defeat Semi-permanent Star-Level strong ones and our 132 Star Zone’s best Semi-permanent Star-Level elites? He must be a top-tier genius!”

”Whoever insulted Lord Jia Yan earlier—step forward! To insult a top-tier genius of our Genius Battlefield is sacrilege. I’ll break your damned legs!”

Thanks to ”Tragic Aquarius” and ”Elegant Pavilion” for their 2,000 Starty Coins each in support. With your backing, I’ll keep writing! Looks like another steamed bun for me tonight. Thank you!
