Reborn As An Interstellar Giant Mosquito

Chapter 1315: Chapter 18 ’Behind the Scenes’ Wins the Championship! [Subscribe to the official version please]

”Haha, Jia Yan has admitted defeat.”

”Although we all knew he would lose, fighting like this, indeed, is an honorable defeat, just like the commentator Senior said.”

One audience member after another, along with the participants, nodded to each other as they let out sighs of relief on the sidelines.

Jia Yan lost, which made them feel a bit pleased, and at the same time, it was a relief.

If he could have won, that would be just too outrageous, as this Giant Elephant Monster isn’t just any stray dog or cat on the street, but a terrifying and extreme Semi-permanent Star Level Strong One, even ranked within the top twenty among them.

”It seems that Jia Yan has reached his limit. But he has already made history, and that itself is a miracle.”

”Hehe, it’s good that he lost, so we won’t be shocked again and again by his actions, it felt like my Heart was scared into an early grave.”

”Yes, but it’s also a bit of a pity that the miracle ended just like that.”

Along with the words of the spectators, the outcome of this battle seemed to settle in their hearts.

However, some powerful beings had clearly witnessed a different outcome just now, but as the audience members discussed, they began to doubt themselves.

”I must have seen it wrong, Jia Yan should indeed have been defeated,” they all convinced themselves.

Only Jia Yan, who was in the middle of the arena, and the Giant Elephant Monster, having just had a moment of realization, stood still, dumbfounded as if petrified.

Jia Yan had no way to explain, and the Giant Elephant Monster blushed with a pounding heart, not knowing what to say.

But in this battlefield, there was still a presence capable of discerning right from wrong.

That was a Semi-permanent Star Level judge on the outskirts of the arena!

After hearing the discussions inside and outside the entire arena, he chuckled bitterly in his heart. He couldn’t believe what he had seen either, but as a judge, he had to make a fair decision.

Moreover, Jia Yan would not agree to it.

”Uh, everyone quiet down, I will announce the result of the match.”

He loudly interrupted the noise inside and outside the arena.

”The winner of this match is...”

”Jia Yan!”

When this judge Strong One announced this, it seemed like some in the arena had prepared themselves, loudly cheering.

”Well done, Giant Elephant clan, for eliminating Jia Yan!”

”Amazing, I love you, the expert from the Giant Elephant clan.”

”Haha, Jia Yan, you’ve finally lost, right?”

Cheers like a roaring tide were about to overturn the entire arena.

But quickly, some of the shouters seemed to notice something wrong.

”Uh.”

”The name just announced by the judge doesn’t seem to be the name of the Giant Elephant Strong One?”

”I also heard that it wasn’t his name. It’s instead...”

”Jia Yan?”

”Impossible! How could the judge have gotten it wrong? Wasn’t the Strong One from the Giant Elephant clan the winner?”

One after another, the audience members, as well as the competitors on the sidelines, looked at the judge quizzically.

In fact, most people on the spot had the strength to see the scene of Jia Yan’s victory just now, but their reason told them that Jia Yan winning was impossible, just like Earth people seeing a UFO fly over their heads, at first, they would also think they were dreaming.

And now the judge shattered their rationality with his words.

”Hehe, stop denying the facts. The one who really won was indeed Jia Yan.”

Just as a child speaks the truth about The Emperor’s New Clothes, a Strong One spoke a fair word.

”How could this be! It is impossible for Jia Yan to win, all his previous victories were let by others, this time, there is no way he could’ve won!”

Audience members finally stepped out of their self-spun lies.

”It must be that the Giant Elephant clan is too weak, damn it, what top twenty Semi-permanent Star Level Strong Ones, they’re nothing but bluster.”

The words of the audience almost made the Giant Elephant Monster want to find a hole to bury itself in.

He wanted to say that he really tried his best, but Jia Yan was just too strong, and there was nothing he could do.

But he couldn’t say anything and could only leave the stage in a sorry state after the judge announced the result of the battle.

Jia Yan also left the stage.

What welcomed him were stunned gazes and wide eyes.

The genius competitors from the Tornado Force could never have imagined that the genius they had invited would turn out to be such a marvel!

Although Jia Yan in the Genius Battlefield of Tornado Force was already shining like a great radiance, compared to his current performance, he seemed like a little witch encountering a great sorcerer; Jia Yan back then did not even display one-third of his current strength.

A Venerable, not even at the Peak of Venerables, was able to defeat a top twenty contestant among the Semi-permanent Star Level Strong Ones?

This seemed like a scene out of a fantasy novel, at least to them it did.

”Jia Yan, you... did well.” Tai Jin’s mouth moved, and then he said this.

He had just made it into the top twenty himself not long ago. All of the Semi-permanent Star Level competitors of Mighty Power were eliminated, three of them, but Jia Yan was stronger than these three and had broken through the top twenty.

”Thank you for the compliment, Senior.” Jia Yan nodded slightly, and did not change his attitude towards Tai Jin despite showing his strength.

This made Tai Jin feel comfortable as well.

”Jia Yan, the chances of you encountering players from our Tornado Force will significantly increase in the upcoming matches. If we meet you, we will choose to give up, as I want your miracle to continue,” Tai Jin said.

Tai Jin’s decision was not made in jest. It’s important to note that the Strong Ones from the Tornado Force didn’t come to the Genius Battlefield of the Mighty Power just for points; they care even more about the reputation of their force. And now that Jia Yan has won such great prestige on their behalf, of course, they want to keep expanding this reputation. Giving up one or two matches is nothing to them.

After expressing his thanks, Jia Yan went back to his corner.

The Semi-permanent Star Level Strong One from Er Tian’s Forces who was at the same spot had long since disappeared without a trace.

Presumably, after seeing that Jia Yan could defeat that Giant Elephant Strong One, he must have fled in a hurry.

”Lucky for you to have escaped so quickly.”

With a glimmer of light in his eyes, Jia Yan crouched down indifferently.

This Strong One from Er Tian’s Forces had shown hostility towards Jia Yan in front of many creatures several times. Jia Yan wouldn’t mind sending him off on his way, but the other party had indeed escaped after seeing Jia Yan’s formidable strength.

However, there will always be opportunities.

In the following battles, Jia Yan indeed had good luck. In the top ten to top five matches, he directly faced a Semi-permanent Star Strong One from the Tornado Force, and the opponent conceded without the slightest unwillingness.

The Semi-permanent Star Level top five battles were different than before, using a draw to decide matchups, with one player getting a bye and the other four facing off in pairs.

”Uh... The one who drew the bye is actually Jia Yan!”

Jia Yan’s luck exploded once again as he drew the bye, which led the spectators above and below the stage to shout accusations of foul play.

But it seemed that the foul play was to continue.

The semi-finals were head-to-head fights, and Jia Yan was once again lucky, facing a Semi-permanent Star Strong One who had expended a lot of energy and was severely injured in the top five battle.

Having difficulty even flying, the opponent elicited little sympathy from Jia Yan, who stepped forward and swiftly defeated him using Brainwave Power and Black Hole Distortion.

Just like that, Jia Yan entered the finals.

But the scene that truly infuriated the audience ensued.

The other match of the Semi-permanent Star Genius semi-finals took place between ’Tianwei Qiang,’ the third Strong One from Mighty Power, and ’Tai Jin,’ the team leader from the Tornado Force.

Their fight was tremendously intense, shaking both heaven and earth—it wouldn’t be an exaggeration to say that the ground was turned upside down.

The combat power displayed by these two Strong Ones far exceeded that of any other contestants. Even Jia Yan, watching from the side, was profoundly shocked. He understood that even with an Artificial Black Hole’s aid, he was no match for them.

And the result of this battle was what everyone inside and outside the arena had shouted about as ’foul play.’

Because the victor of this battle turned out to be Tai Jin!

”Damn it! Foul play, Tai Jin won. If he fights that trash Monster Jia Yan, he will definitely give up!”

”Exactly, in this way, the Dignitary will claim victory. This is a setup! Mighty Power and Tornado Force are rigging it together!”

One after another, the spectators shouted, accusing the organizers, Mighty Power, and Tornado Force of collusion.

Under such circumstances, the Mighty Power officials were close to tears.

They are sworn enemies with the Tornado Force, and they would seize any opportunity to undermine one another, but to collude with them in foul play? Absolutely impossible!

However, the audience wouldn’t listen to such rational analysis and only continued to shout accusations.

And amidst the angry shouting of the audience, the final battle of this Genius Battlefield, which was supposed to be the most intense and anticipated clash between the two strongest Semi-permanent Star competitors, began.

Under the curses of the angry creatures, Jia Yan and Tai Jin, two Supreme Monsters, calmly flew up to the battle stage together.

They acted as if they hadn’t heard the loud curses from the creatures around them, their expressions composed.

Both sides took their positions, and then the referee, with resignation, announced the start of the battle.

”Cough...” Tai Jin looked at Jia Yan opposite him and lightly feigned a cough.

Then, suddenly holding his forehead with his foot, he screamed in agony.

”Ah ah ah, it hurts so much, my head got injured in the last semi-final. I definitely can’t fight this round, it’s so painful, oh no, I give up...”

”Can you pretend to be any more fake? Foul play!”

”Foul play! We don’t acknowledge this final.”

As soon as Tai Jin finished shouting, the entire venue erupted. Countless cups of beverages and food sold by the creatures at ringside flew towards the two finalists in the arena.

Jia Yan and Tai Jin looked at each other, seeing a hint of humor in the other’s eyes.

Of course, those objects couldn’t harm either of them; everything stopped in mid-air as soon as it got close.

”Foul play, refund our tickets, we want a refund.”

”A Dignitary wins against another Dignitary, a Secondary Powerhouse, and a Star Level Genius, Mighty Power, can you get any more ridiculous? Refund! We demand an explanation from the official of the Genius Battlefield!”

The higher-ups of Mighty Power were being driven to the brink of suicide by this situation.

They wanted to shout out loud that it was impossible for them to collude with the Tornado Force—if anything, they would drag them down, not help them. But the audience wasn’t listening to explanations.

”This Genius Battle, this Dignitary hereby declares Jia Yan the winner.”

As all creatures continued to make noise, a resoundingly loud voice came down from the distant space above.

Thank you to ’Elegant Pavilion’ brother for the 1000 Starty Coins reward once again!!! Thank you.
