Reborn As An Interstellar Giant Mosquito

Chapter 1307: Chapter 10 Jia Yan’s Rebellion Against the Heavens! [Please Subscribe to the Genuine Version]

This Jia Yan, a genius who hasn’t even reached the Peak of Venerables, has actually entered the top twenty at the Secondary Powerhouse level?

What’s even more shocking is that he seems to be very relaxed about being here!

That’s so freaking unbelievable!

Even the Semi-permanent Star Level powerhouses of the Tornado Force find his performance hard to believe.

”I say, Tai Jin, just what is the level of Jia Yan’s strength? No matter how I look at him, it seems he really isn’t just any ordinary Intermediate Genius,” the Semi-permanent Star Creature beside Tai Jin asked with extreme difficulty.

”How would I know? We said he was a Beginner Intermediate Level Genius, but he has never openly acknowledged it. Could it be... that he really is a high-level Intermediate Genius?” Tai Jin was also somewhat puzzled.

All the creatures present, whether powerful or not, were suddenly at a loss concerning this Jia Yan who had emerged out of nowhere.

Just how strong could he be?

”Next up, Jia Yan against Chi Qian.”

The battle to advance from the top twenty to the top ten featured an opponent resembling a round coin-shaped monster, which didn’t take Jia Yan seriously at all.

However, after fighting with him for over a dozen moves, Jia Yan maintained his composure and exploited a flaw in his opponent, defeating him swiftly with a light sound.

”Incredibly, Jia Yan has entered the top ten!”

Not to mention the reaction of those around, even the Tornado Force felt as if the earth was shaking under their feet; they never anticipated Jia Yan advancing into the top ten Secondary Powerhouses, at most they thought the top twenty was his limit.

But Jia Yan still appeared relaxed as he entered the top ten Secondary Powerhouses of the Mighty Power talent battles.

The battles that followed not only numbed the audience but also those from the Tornado Force who had mentally prepared themselves.

The battle for the top ten was a round-robin format; each of the ten powerhouses had to fight against each other.

First battle, Jia Yan won.

Second battle, Jia Yan won.

Third battle, Jia Yan won.

...

It all seemed like a replay of Jia Yan’s previous battles in the talent domain of the Tornado Force.

”Something’s amiss, the Secondary Powerhouses in the Mighty Power genius battles are much stronger than those of our Tornado Force’s Secondary Powerhouses, but Jia Yan seems just as at ease,” Tai Jin was almost stunned.

He thought he was dreaming. His estimation of Jia Yan’s strength was already high, but now he felt that he might have underestimated him.

”Could it be that Jia Yan is not just an Intermediate Genius, but a High-level Genius that we dare not even contemplate?”

Tai Jin, who had only seen High-level Geniuses once or twice, almost felt as if his breath was stopping.

High-level Genius!

What a shocking term! If Jia Yan truly is such a genius, then the next time Tai Jin sees him, he must treat him with utmost respect. Otherwise, if the whole Genius Battlefield finds out he disrespected a High-level Genius, they might come to kill him.

In the Genius Battlefield, fighting abilities hold significant importance. But here, Talent is what truly represents everything!

High-level Geniuses are cared for by powerful forces, smoothly sailing until they reach Semi-permanent Star Level.

And the most fearsome top talents receive protection from the officials of the genius battle domain; such beings will certainly become Stellar Level, and even just upon attaining that status, they are stronger than the initial Stellar Level Strong Ones.

Although Jia Yan is unlikely to be a top talent, as a High-level Genius, his status in the Genius Battlefield is incomparable even to Semi-permanent Star Level beings like Tai Jin.

”He surely won’t win the fifth battle because this is the temporarily ranked second Secondary Powerhouse, also the strongest Secondary Powerhouse of the Mighty Power.

The powerhouses of the Tornado Force, and the audience around the arena, weren’t looking at any other battles anymore. Even the powerhouses fighting felt listless, knowing that in this entire Genius Battlefield, Jia Yan was stealing the show.

And indeed, in the upcoming fifth battle, Jia Yan faced off against the Secondary Powerhouse projected to be second from the Mighty Power Force.

”Jia Yan, our high administration has a high opinion of you and we hope you won’t get hurt in the upcoming battle,” said the warrior as he took the stage, uttering words that took even Jia Yan by surprise.

It turned out that even the upper echelons of the Mighty Power had noticed Jia Yan’s Talent wasn’t as simple as an ordinary Intermediate Genius, hence the complete turnaround from their initial malice to now speaking kind words.

”All right, I will also show you mercy,” Jia Yan replied politely, since the other party was courteous.

The number one Secondary Powerhouse of the Mighty Power Force changed his uncomfortable demeanor. He knew the words he just spoke were insincere, and now Jia Yan was taking advantage of that facade by offering to show mercy in return? This made him upset.

”Heh heh, alright then, let’s fight!”

The powerhouse chuckled strangely, then his body moved.

He intended to show Jia Yan a lesson first and just stop short of actually injuring him.

His speed was very fast, incomparable to the speed Jia Yan had previously shown.

But when Jia Yan saw this speed, a gleam flashed through his Compound Eyes.

And then his speed exploded far beyond what he had shown before!

Both powerhouses reached their peak speed in the blink of an eye.

”So fast, they are both so fast! Contestant Jia Yan is also this quick; could he have been holding back his full strength until now? It’s simply unbelievable,” the commentator exclaimed in amazement, seeing that Jia Yan’s speed was on par with that of the speed focused powerhouse from the Mighty Power.

In the audience, one Strong One after another was numb to the spectacle. Having seen Jia Yan burst out with strength time and again, him showcasing any level of power now seemed normal.

”To be neck and neck with the previously assumed second place and the small gap in strength between the first and second, I think this Jia Yan might just pull off a dark horse upset.”

”You think he could become the top Secondary Powerhouse? That’s impossible, right?”

”What do you think? If he wins this match too, who could stop him?”

Strong Ones in the audience analyzed Jia Yan’s power, then with some disbelief themselves felt that Jia Yan might just have a sliver of a chance of winning first among the Secondary Powerhouses.

”Ah!”

As they speculated, faster than they had anticipated, one of the rapidly clashing Strong Ones let out a scream.

And that Strong One stumbled out of the combat ring, to the disbelief of the surrounding audience—it was Mighty Power, the top Secondary Powerhouse of the initial competition.

”So strong, so strong!”

This Secondary Powerhouse, who was fighting head-on with Jia Yan, now looked up at Jia Yan slowly descending to the ground, his eyes filled with shock and disbelief.

Because he sensed that even with such a fight, Jia Yan seemed to have not used his full strength yet.

How could this be? A Lord, fighting a top three Secondary Powerhouse, could still reserve strength!?

”You flatter me.”

Jia Yan, in the ring, addressed the Mighty Power genius who was knocked out of the ring with these words.

Only now did the commentator recover from his daze, announcing Jia Yan’s victory.

”Damn! It’s unheard of, Jia Yan defies the heavens!”

On Tornado Force’s side, including the Semi-permanent Star Geniuses, almost everyone went crazy.

Jia Yan had managed to win against the second-ranked Secondary Powerhouse in one go, and it even seemed like he did it with energy to spare. This suggested that even if faced with the first place, he still had the strength to fight, and possibly to win!

They never imagined Jia Yan would come this far!

”Jia Yan, the next match is with me, and I concede. Your upcoming battles won’t be too difficult; it’s only the first-place fight you have to worry about.”

As Jia Yan stepped down from the stage, a Tornado Force Secondary Powerhouse came up to him. He too was a finalist of the top ten Geniuses, but his fights didn’t look as impressive as Jia Yan’s, having lost more than won in the previous rounds.

”Okay, thanks.” Jia Yan nodded his head.

Just as expected, in the next match, when the Tornado Force genius encountered Jia Yan, he chose to concede. Even though Jia Yan believed that even if he hadn’t conceded, it wouldn’t have cost Jia Yan much strength.

”After a series of spectacular battles, the fight for the first place among Secondary Powerhouses is about to begin! Before this highly anticipated championship battle, let’s take a look back at the path of the biggest dark horse of this Mighty Power genius competition, and also one of the championship contenders—Jia Yan, during his fights in this contest.”

When it came to the final battle, the peak championship fight of the Secondary Powerhouses, Jia Yan slowly entered the arena.

And above the entire celestial body, the footage of his fights in this Genius Battlefield was played.

As these clips played, the audience suddenly realized that Jia Yan, this Venerable, had not just participated in the Secondary Powerhouse battle; he had also exhausted a certain amount of energy in the Lord-Level challenges.

And he still made it to the Secondary Powerhouse championship fight? Is this still a Venerable?

As Jia Yan’s past fights finished playing, it was time for his opponent’s showcase. In the Starry Sky above the celestial body, the footage of the adversary began to play.

It was a monster that resembled a giant scorpion, its battles incredibly fierce, with bloodshed often appearing in its repeated fights.

”Jia Yan, I will defeat you!”

The opponent entered the ring and directed its pincers towards Jia Yan, declaring its pre-match challenge.

”Heh.”

Jia Yan shook his head with a chuckle.

The audience below, this time, didn’t think Jia Yan was being pretentious. Since he had previously won against the tentative second place—and the first wasn’t much stronger than the second—it seemed there was nothing wrong with Jia Yan’s taunting demeanor.

”This is killing me!”

Looking at Jia Yan’s behavior, the seemingly simple-minded scorpion monster charged straight at him.

Clang, clang, clang, clang!

Jia Yan’s feet met the Secondary Powerhouse’s strikes over and over again.

Because his strength was still incomparable to that of a Secondary Powerhouse, Jia Yan got knocked flying hundreds of meters away with every blow.

”Haha, be defeated!”

Seeing that Jia Yan seemed unable to counterattack, the opponent, the giant scorpion monster, burst out laughing, then lifted its large pincer aiming at Jia Yan’s head, and smashed down ruthlessly.

Squish!

What responded to his hysterical laughter was a foot that appeared out of nowhere, gently piercing his forehead.

”I didn’t want to kill anyone, but what to do since I don’t like you.”

The last thing this first-ranked powerhouse heard was this sentence from Jia Yan.

”Jia Yan... Jia Yan... Jia Yan wins! Jia Yan, this Venerable Genius, has won first place among the Secondary Powerhouses, my god!” The commentator’s almost crazed voice echoed throughout the entire arena.

Thanks to ’Patting empty pockets’ for the reward.
