Reborn As An Interstellar Giant Mosquito

Chapter 1167: Chapter 48: A Huge Misunderstanding! [Please Subscribe to the Official Version]

The Frog Strong One was unexpectedly blasted away by a casually released brainwave power fluctuation from Jia Yan!

Boom!!!

A huge surge of air burst forth, and that black Frog Strong One was directly hit by the brainwave power, his four limbs scraping against the ground, creating long marks as he was pushed backwards.

Jia Yan did not deal a fatal blow, but merely unleashed a burst of power before immediately retracting it.

After all, there needed to be an excuse for his actions, as one does not strike a smiling face. Jia Yan’s mission was not to wage outright war, because even though he himself was powerful, Earth and the Solar System were one of a kind, and the Earth people’s overall strength was inadequate. Should Jia Yan start an unwarranted war and cause the Earth people’s status in the Starfield to be viewed with even more hostility, it would be problematic.

Boom boom boom!

The black Frog, even after being hit by Jia Yan’s casual brainwave power strike, was still fiercely pushed a kilometer away.

”This, this, this!”

One Western Region Strong One after another was shocked at this moment.

This Auster Empire Strong One had shown unfriendly conduct by using his energy the moment he arrived, and his strength seemed to be far too overwhelming. A seemingly casual strike of brainwave power had propelled the strongest being of this Western Region so far away!

Was this the second strongest of the Auster Empire, with the first being even stronger?! What a joke, if that were the case, the Ru Lan Empire should have been wiped out by the Auster Empire long ago.

”Emissary, isn’t this going a bit too far?”

At this point, the Fifth Duke finally couldn’t hold back and spoke up, his face showing a hint of fright. However, since the other party had not dealt a lethal blow, it indicated that there might still be a chance for negotiation.

”I’ve gone too far? Haven’t the previous actions of your Ru Lan Empire crossed the line?”

Jia Yan believed that the opposing party already knew his identity, and now turned back with a cold look, seemingly prompting them to recall the oppression and slaughter that Earth people had endured for a long time.

Of course, with both sides having such a great misunderstanding, it was impossible for them now to understand each other. What the Fifth Duke thought of was the long-standing war between the two great Empires.

”Sigh. The matter of war is simply each doing their own fighting; it doesn’t hinder our negotiations. As an emissary, do you really want to initiate war again before we officially discuss our agenda? I hope His Excellency the Emissary thinks it over.”

This Fifth Duke somewhat tirelessly lectured Jia Yan. Actually, he was furious inside, but he didn’t dare to act against the powerful being before him. Although he verbally persuaded, his mind was rapidly analyzing.

”This second strongest of the Auster Empire seems to have made a breakthrough. Otherwise, he couldn’t be so powerful. So, this delegation’s arrival might not be for business talks, but rather for intimidation?!”

”No wonder they didn’t choose the capital but came to my Western Region, because going to the capital would have been too much of a slap in the face for my Empire. Coming here not only saves the Empire from embarrassment but also intimidates the Ru Lan Empire, killing two birds with one stone!”

The situation seemed to have suddenly changed; what was meant to be a friendly visit turned into an unveiling of hostility as soon as the Auster Empire emissary arrived.

The entire scene instantly froze.

The soldiers no longer played their instruments, and the thousands of civilian monsters on the side stopped cheering; it seemed as if everyone was stunned.

”Alright, His Excellency the Emissary, may I know if you could honor my palace with a detailed discussion on the following negotiations? I will express the utmost goodwill and sincerity,” said the Fifth Duke, now somewhat ingratiatingly, seeing that Jia Yan had not continued with any harmful actions.

Meanwhile, the Sky Remnant, a kilometer away, was barely managing to wriggle his Frog body, barely getting up, but the look in his eyes towards Jia Yan was filled with terror.

This self-proclaimed Starry Sky High-Order Expert was fearful of Jia Yan, who flew in the air and looked down upon most of the Strong Ones in the entire Western Region. He had always thought his power was immense, certain that if there was a dispute, he would have a place among the top ten experts of the Ru Lan Empire.

But now he felt somewhat hopeless because this Strong One easily subdued him with a single brainwave power strike.

Only now did he realize how lacking his strength was compared to a true Strong One. He even felt brazen, daring to call himself the strongest in the Western Region, when the region might be full of hidden dragons and crouching tigers, potentially harboring many Strong Ones greater than him.

This actually first-ranked Strong One of the Western Region now felt a sense of disillusionment.

As for the group of people in front, they naturally could not comprehend his state of mind right now, and all the Strong Ones of the entire Western Region started to feel some tension.

”Order the initiation of all defense mechanisms within the Starfield against the Strong Ones. This Auster Empire’s Strong One seems to harbor ill intentions. We must be fully prepared.”

A Strong One took out a communicator, not foolish enough to use voice transmission, but instead employed written cipher to send out the message.

Meanwhile, Jia Yan, who was mistaken for the second strongest being of the Auster Empire, had yet to realize the error. Gliding ahead of a group of Golden Frogs, he exuded the demeanor of a superior being, his true self nearly reaching the sacred level, already wielding a slight degree of environmental control prowess.

The whole world seemed subtly oppressed by Jia Yan; though not to the extent of paralyzing all Strong Ones, those in his vicinity almost all felt a suffocating inspiration.

These mighty Golden Frogs, along with Strong Ones from other Western Region tribes, looked at one another, feeling an immense gap between them and this Strong One, as if it were the difference between heaven and earth.

”Impossible! Since when does the Auster Empire have such a Strong One? And the second strongest at that? Investigate the background of this so-called second strongest one. He cannot possibly be some second Strong One. It’s more likely an old monster from the Auster Empire, who after countless years in seclusion, has suddenly surpassed the current levels of the Strong Ones by who knows how much!”

Duke Five now sent out a nervous encrypted message.

However, Jia Yan had noticed these small acts of the beings around him, but he didn’t care. Even his Brainwave Power could detect all defense devices within a thousand kilometers. The activation of these devices was of no consequence to Jia Yan.

Even the defense mechanisms of the Northern Star Domain had little effect on him, let alone those of the Western Region Capital Star? For those, Jia Yan could only scoff.

Should they dare to activate them, Jia Yan would have an excuse to massacre.

Of course, the Western Region Military Government was not foolish enough to actually deploy any offensive measures against such a Strong One, but the defenses had already been initiated regardless of cost. Even the terrifying Star Self-detonation method was ready to go; an ultimate move prepared by the Western Region Military Government in early years. Should a great war arise and their Capital Star be overtaken, or should such an unstoppable Strong One appear, they might trigger the planet’s self-destruction and perish along with their foe!

But was Jia Yan afraid of such measures?

Had he been, he would not have come.

With his Space Travel Ability, almost nothing in the Orion Arm could harm him.

Indeed, after understanding the levels of Strength and Science and Technology within the entire Starfield, Jia Yan knew he was invincible in this region!

Before long, both parties arrived at the most sacred and power-representing place in the Starfield—Western Region Capital Star Duke Five’s Office Mansion of the Orchid Empire.

The building complex seemed to bear an ancient architectural vibe, somewhat resembling castles on Earth, yet spanning a vast continuous area. Even to Jia Yan, the place held an air of charm.

Both sides entered the complex, about to engage in so-called ’negotiations.’

However, just as they were about to start their negotiations, some flying ’Shadows’ appeared above the starport where Jia Yan’s spaceship had previously descended.

”Uh? Some Small Battleships with identification signals from the Auster Empire’s Envoy Team have appeared overhead. Should we report this?”

An observing soldier glanced at his colleagues, somewhat puzzled.

”Report my ass, that must be the entourage of His Lordship. We few will go out to greet them, that’s enough. The Emissary has personally been met by Duke Five; do we need Duke Five and his people to come back to welcome these attendants?”

The soldier on the other side said it as if it were self-evident.

”That’s right, and they’re clearly here with no good intentions. Although their Emissary is indeed powerful, we are inside the planet with countless weapons against the Strong Ones. Do they think they can look down on us? Come on, let’s go out, just a simple welcome will do.”

Today was a big day for the Auster Empire Envoy Team.

After traveling for several years, they had finally reached the West of the Ru Lan Empire. They brought along certain cooperation projects to demonstrate sincerity, even planning to accept some slight losses to reach an agreement.

And after such a long journey, they had finally arrived at the Capital Star Harbor, ready for a dignified reception.

They had heard that the Duke Five of the Western Region would be greeting them personally. Although their entourage lacked the second-strongest of the Auster Empire, who had decided to fly through the Universe as if showing off and join them later, other dignified Strong Ones and high officials were present. As long as they showed due humility, surely the Fifth Duke would not be displeased with them.

”Remember, when we disembark, besides Fifth Duke, there will be countless media and citizens welcoming us. Make sure to mind your deportment, don’t embarrass our Auster Empire,” encouraged a Starry Sky Mid-Term Existence to the delegation members surrounding him.
