Reborn As An Interstellar Giant Mosquito

Chapter 1164: Chapter 45 Xiyu Capital Star [First Update]

The power of the Capital Star in the Western Region could truly be called central, because it’s too far from the Central Region of the Ru Lan Empire and thus operates almost like an independent nation. The only reason it hasn’t declared independence is that the Seventh Public King of the Capital Star is the seventh prince of the Ru Lan Empire Royal Family.

Historically, the Western Region launched a direct attack on another mid-sized civilization without going through the Rulan Empire’s central command and destroyed it, thus the region’s military strength and autonomy are considerable.

”How can there be such a ludicrous emergency message? It must be from that failed Grey-yellow Star Fleet a while back, they were unstable then, and now they suddenly concoct some mysterious strong one, it’s laughable.”

For the Capital Star, it was unlikely to take this distant message seriously.

However, there are also conservatives.

”That’s not right, as a military force, that fleet’s performance has always been decent. Otherwise, we wouldn’t have retained their number even after their failure. This matter of the strong one must have some truth to it, and the report also said that this strong one even killed the fleet’s commander. The opponent’s strength should be between the peak of Sky Level and Starry Sky Level. There’s just too little data to determine their actual combat power.”

”Should we pass this so-called envoy’s message up the chain? What Solar System? Never heard of it, but Earth—I recall it’s the planet that our Empire once ordered to compete with the Auster Empire for Star Condensing Minerals. Could it be a coincidence?”

”No, let’s not report it further. Communicate with that fleet again to confirm their strength and see if it might be at the Starry Sky Level. If it isn’t, then it’s not a big deal.”

”That’s correct. Besides, there’s no way their arrival could be so fast. Even if it’s confirmed they are at Starry Sky Level, it would take them several years to reach us. We have plenty of time.”

This is how the intelligence department on the Capital Star analyzed and processed the messages from that distant fleet.

The entire Western Region is vast, with countless events occurring daily. Even Starry Sky Level Experts are many here, and the intelligence department cannot afford to respond to every suspected Starry Sky Level, not to mention this so-called ’Solar System civilization’ they’ve never heard of. Unlike the fleets on the border, the department has a deep understanding of the civilizations in the nearby starfields. If they’ve never heard of this Solar System civilization, even if the other side is indeed powerful, there’s no likely friction, as it would be a faraway civilization—and the cost of warfare back and forth would make no sense.

What they didn’t consider was that the Mining Star they knew about actually belonged to the ’Solar System.’ They called Earth’s star system by another name and thus missed the chance to learn the true face of this civilization.

Of course, even if they had known, they wouldn’t have reacted much; just a laugh perhaps. In front of the Rufus Empire, Earth people are merely primitives among the primitives, barely a threat. Even if a self-proclaimed emissary from Earth people, who happens to be strong, appears, it wouldn’t cause any alarm.

Such strength among this level of civilization does not emerge suddenly and even if it were Starry Sky Level, it wouldn’t worry them. The Starry Sky Level is strong, but it’s nothing in comparison to a behemoth like the Rulan Empire.

And it was at this time in the Xiyu Capital of the Western Region, as the message of the appearance of this strong one was being coldly handled...

A tiny space vessel, trailing a streak of light, made its way deep into the interior of the Western Region.

”This so-called Western Region of the Rulan Empire really falls far short compared to the Northern Star Domain. The whole starry sky has much fewer spaceships and battleships. It seems that although the domain sizes of both are not significantly different, their technology and national power greatly diverge.”

Jia Yan rode in the vessel into the interior of the Western Region.

As a strong one who had seen the true prosperity of the Northern Star Domain, the sight of this supposed most flourishing place of the Rulan Empire’s Western Region is somewhat scorned.

Nevertheless, the Western Region isn’t as miserable as Jia Yan perceived. He only judged the level of civilization based on the degree of transformation of ships and interstellar materials. In reality, Earthlings would surely think they’ve arrived in a science fiction world upon seeing this place.

There are flying battleships and spaceships everywhere, including tourist vessels bearing various life forms. Some are similar to humans, while others would be beyond the wildest imaginations of Earth people.

Some of these beings belong to the main species of the Rulan Empire, others are foreign races or minority ethnic groups ruled over by conquest. In short, if Earth people were here, it would take quite some effort just to record the appearances and names of all the races.

Of course, for Jia Yan, this place doesn’t seem very advanced right now. After a quick assessment of the general level of civilization, he promptly resumed his journey.

His space cabin, which was capable of incredibly long-distance travel over tens of thousands of light-years, was an object of awe even to Jia Yan himself, let alone a short journey with it is a powerful tool; for the civilizations in the Orion Arm, it stands as a peak of science.

Even if handed to them for research, they might still fail to comprehend it. And no one could have imagined that this so-called ’Envoy of the Solar System,’ who had just been discussed in the intelligence department as being light-years away, attacking a small fleet, would arrive so swiftly at the central area of the Western Region.

Jia Yan’s arrival drew no attention. Advanced space defense is not the forte of ordinary civilizations; merely guarding some planets nearby is already strenuous for the Western Region, and their strength is insufficient to cover the vast open space around.

”””Hmm? The capital star does indeed have some character. An entire planet about the size of Earth has been turned into a steel city. That’s quite the grand gesture.”””

Jia Yan maneuvered the luminous space cabin with a speed that made all onlookers gape, flying towards the direction of the Xiyu Capital Star.

Soon, he saw this so-called Capital Star, a planet that has been entirely transformed into one gargantuan city.

Perhaps due to the sufficient overall population, the planet was completely filled with skyscrapers, and in some areas, there were buildings even taller than the most bustling skyscrapers Jia Yan had seen in the Northern Star Domain, reaching tens of thousands of meters high, connecting directly to outer space, where spaceships flew to and fro constantly.

Moreover, Jia Yan could sense the presence of strong individuals on the planet, seemingly quite a few at the Starry Sky Level.

”Let’s not rush. I’ll assess the strength here first.”

After Jia Yan stopped the space cabin not far into outer space, he activated the ship’s cloaking capability. Of course, in the enemy’s lair, Jia Yan was not overly complacent. After all, this was an important place in the Ru Lan Empire, who knows if they had the ability to detect his space cabin. At the moment, the place where he hid his space cabin was extremely secluded; even if the other party had the capacity to detect cloaked space cabins, it was unlikely they would be able to find it.

After all, Jia Yan’s freedom to come and go within this star system relied on his space cabin; without it, Jia Yan’s speed of movement would have drastically decreased.

After securing the space cabin, Jia Yan, traveling alone with his hands behind his back, casually flew through the universe towards the Xiyu Capital Star.

The location where he had docked his space cabin was about five million kilometers away from the Capital Star, so there was a considerable distance to cover.

Of course, he was not in a hurry, maintaining a slow speed, while observing the surrounding starry scenery during the flight. He appeared just like a low-level Starry Sky Strong flying for training in space.

After Jia Yan flew for two million kilometers, a spaceship that was coming from afar saw him from a distance and headed his way.

”Captain, are we really approaching him? That’s a Strong One who can traverse the vacuum of space with their flesh and blood!”

Inside the spaceship, a member of the Frogman species asked another with wide eyes and astonishment.

”Of course, we’re going over. Did you see? That looks like an Auster person. Although we don’t know how he arrived at our Capital Star, he must be someone significant. If we approach him, maybe we can establish some connection.”

The captain of the Frogman species, seemed to have the ambition to build a connection with the powerful being ahead. Of course, they hadn’t the slightest intention to attack. They wouldn’t dare provoke someone capable of crossing the universe bodily.

”Lord, do you require a ride on our spaceship?”

As soon as Jia Yan noticed the spaceship, a surge of Brainwave Power emanated from within.

This Brainwave Power was strong as well, possessing Heavenly Peak strength. Of course, the difference between Heavenly Peak level and Starry Sky Level was orders of magnitude; within a thousand Heavenly Peak powerhouses, it would be a miracle if even one could become a Starry Sky Strong. Therefore, the owner of this Brainwave Power clearly had a pleasing intention.

”Sure, I’ll board your spaceship,” responded Jia Yan indifferently, and then he climbed onto the open hatch that they had hurriedly prepared.

He was going to find out about the Capital Star anyway, boarding their vessel fit the bill.

Jia Yan’s journey this time was destined not to be low-key. The others did not recognize him now, but they certainly would after some time, because the entire Ru Lan Empire will tremble at the presence of this Strong One!

Therefore, his every move had to exude the sensation of an extremely powerful being; otherwise, it would diminish the influence of his visit.

Thud!

Jia Yan casually landed with hands behind his back on top of their spaceship.

This was a cargo spaceship, capable of transporting goods between several planets within the Capital Star through the Energy System.
