Reborn As An Interstellar Giant Mosquito

Chapter 1156: Chapter 37 Refuse to Kneel to Heaven and Earth, Only Kneel to Parents! [First Update]

While Jia Yan was conversing with Samo Ling, Jia Lin had already taken her two daughters to their parents’ place.

As for Jia Yan’s affairs, this younger sister wasn’t too knowledgeable, but she knew that this time, it really was her brother who had returned!

Hearing about this true event, Father and Mother Jia also experienced a surge of emotions, after all, for them, losing their only son had caused unbearable pain. Yet, many things in the future made them feel as if their son was still alive and even subtly protecting the family.

Otherwise, no one in Jia’s family could have achieved their current status. Of course, that was now, whether someone in the family would appear worthy of their current status in the future was unclear.

However, Jia Yan naturally couldn’t be included in this; if he were to truly step forward, not just Earth but the entire starfield would tremble at his existence.

”That boy, I just knew it. I just knew!” Father Jia’s fingers trembled with excitement, yet his words were insincere.

”Old man, let’s go see our son, won’t we? It’s been so long since we’ve seen our child, I must see him. Our child hasn’t been seen for so many years, traveling the universe, who knows how much he has suffered!” Mother Jia cried as well, grabbing Father Jia’s arm, ready to go to Jia Lin’s house to see their son.

”Dad, Mom, you don’t have to come over, I’m here.” As they were talking, a somewhat bitter voice reached the ears of the two elders.

At the sound of this familiar voice, both of the old faces trembled.

Then they turned their heads, only to see at the wide-open door, a man with a familiar stature, who seemed to be the same age as he had been before.

He still had the feeling of a big boy, still so green.

”Xiao Yan.” The sight of the young man’s face caused Mother Jia to sob even louder.

Father Jia on the side also nodded with excitement, his eyes brimming with tears.

”Good, good that you’re back. Good... good that you’re back...” He didn’t know whether to cry or laugh. He laughed while he cried, snot and tears flowing out, looking quite ridiculous.

But Jia Yan didn’t find it ridiculous at all. In that moment, seeing that his sister wasn’t crying, and thinking that his avatar didn’t even have the function to cry, a sourness hit the bridge of his nose, and a line of tears rolled down his face.

A long-absent wanderer seeing his parents stirred a mix of bittersweet, complex emotions.

His legs gave way.

With a thump, Jia Yan dropped to his knees on the ground.

Then, before the elders and his sister could react, he knocked his head on the ground, creating a thunderous sound.

”Dad, Mom, your unfilial son has returned. I haven’t reported my safety for ten years, I’m sorry! I bow before you both.” After speaking, more resounding thuds followed.

As a son, Jia Yan knew he had made his parents worry, and throughout the ten years of trials and tribulations, sometimes he would dream of this scene. Now that his dream had come true, Jia Yan didn’t know if this was a dream or reality. In any case, he showed the guilt he felt towards his parents and the deep love from the bottom of his heart with his kneeling.

Jia Yan could refuse to bow to anyone else, against any Strong Ones, he could remain unbending, and wager his life in battle. Facing any authority, he could fight back with all his might.

But only in front of his parents did Jia Yan’s knees soften; he could refuse to bow to heaven and earth, but under the skies, he would bow only to his parents, for it was the natural human emotion and a son’s natural reaction.

Not to bow to the heavens or the earth, but only to the parents!

”My son... don’t kneel anymore. You’re back now, that’s good, stop kneeling.”

Before Jia Yan could kneel further, Mother Jia had already run forward, pulling Jia Yan up by all means necessary.

The Jia Family Courtyard was exceptionally lively that day.

Since some matters were difficult to explain, Jia Yan didn’t want his identity to be immediately exposed to the public eye.

And as a preeminent being, what he desired at this moment wasn’t any attention, but to enjoy time with his family.

Of course, throughout the Jia Family Courtyard, those acting as the Defense Team and covert guards had some vague awareness of the happenings with the Jia Family’s people, who were all filled with heartfelt joy in these few days, even little Jia Ruo, the baby girl, seemed to smile more.

Ruo Ruo naturally smiled more because her Uncle Jiu, Jia Yan, had used his old tricks to play the ’throw and catch’ game with this little niece. Maybe it was sisterly inheritance, but just like her sister Jia Qi back in the day, she was totally taken with it and relentlessly pestered Jia Yan to play every day.

Of course, with her sister hoarding Uncle Jiu’s affection, Jia Qi felt somewhat jealous, but in these few days, Jia Qi really had no time to cling to Jia Yan.

Because the true leading figure of the Jia Family, or perhaps the future Strongman, was now at a critical juncture of Promotion!

That was Sky Level!

Jia Yan had thought his niece wouldn’t be able to advance so quickly, but under his full guidance, this little girl had rapidly overcome previous shortcomings due to the lack of direction from the Strong Ones, and had reached the peak of Sky Level without much hindrance!

At this moment, she was condensing her strength, making a breakthrough into Sky Level!

Once she broke through to Sky Level, even within the entirety of Orion Arm, she would be considered a master, and among Earth people who had only been cultivating for a mere decade, she could rightly be called the number one by far!

”Uncle Jiu, I don’t understand what specifically is meant by breaking through Brainwave Power. These past few days, though, I’ve felt like something wanted to break through but it was stuck. Can you explain it to me in more detail?”

One day, Jia Qi, in her cultivation room, asked Jia Yan who stood in front of her.

”The breakthrough of Brainwave Power is indescribable for everyone; I can only try my best to explain to you. It’s like trying to explain what it feels like to use your hands and feet to someone else—everyone has a different sensation, and no one can share it with others.”

Jia Yan looked at his niece with a certain solemnity as he spoke.

At this time, he was incredibly attentive to his niece’s advancement. For Jia Yan at the moment, he wanted to see if Earth people really had excellent Brainwave Power Talent. If he wasn’t mistaken, Jia Yan had said a decade ago that Earth people had quite good Brainwave Power. After a decade of promoting Brainwave Power on Earth, there appeared quite a few at the peak of Earth Level, which also proved this point.

But the true measure of Talent lies in how frequently a Species can make breakthroughs!

At present, Jia Qi’s strength could be ranked first among Earth people. Many factors contributed to her strength, such as the aid from Extraterrestrial Strongmen and Earth’s overall material support, which forcefully raised her to the first position on Earth.

But being Earth Level Strong Ones, no matter how many there are, is of no use; without a Sky Level, or if their Species struggles to break through the major challenge of Sky Level, then Earth people’s Path will still be very difficult.

In the Northern Star Domain, the Bella clan, as well as the Kuditian escaping from a distant Starfield had proven that their Talent wasn’t that exceptional, and they seemed to share a close genetic link with Earth people. Therefore, if Earth people’s Talent was also poor, then Jia Yan would have cause for concern.

He observed Jia Qi closely for a good part of the day.

”I know now!” Just as Jia Yan was about to suggest Jia Qi give up, he heard her exclaim in surprise.

She seemed to have realized something, and suddenly an intense, powerful glow surged on the surface of her body!

”Hm?” At that moment, Jia Yan released a wave of Brainwave Power to directly block this force.

What a tremendous surge of power. Jia Yan’s eyes reflected his astonishment. However, the next moment, his eyes twinkled with joy.

He had sensed that Jia Qi, during this surge, had broken through some indistinct barrier in her Brainwave Power, reaching the Early Stage of Sky Level.

That force was the cosmic power faintly erupting after reaching Sky Level, a power that Jia Qi possessed.

If Jia Yan had not controlled it, this cultivation room might have collapsed.

Fortunately, this power, though terrifying, was nothing in front of Jia Yan.

”Uncle Jiu! Have I ... been promoted?”

After the outburst, the little girl, with eyes wide, looked at her palms with surprise.

Jia Qi felt different though she couldn’t articulate how. She only knew her Power was stronger, and both her vision and her body felt lighter.

”Indeed, it seems you have advanced. Well done, Qiqi, you are now rightfully the number one person on Earth,” Jia Yan said with a smile as he nodded his head.

”How can that be, isn’t there still you and Aunt Jiu?” Jia Qi laughed, but a moment later, she seemed to sense something.

A strange gleam flashed in Jia Qi’s eyes, and then her body gently floated off the ground.

”Hahaha, I can fly, look Uncle Jiu!” Jia Qi danced joyfully in the sky.

However, as happy as she was, tragedy struck when she carelessly fell to the ground, raising a large bump on her head.

Jia Yan was about to help her at that moment, but after a change in expression, he did not intervene.

”Too much joy leads to sorrow, huh? Qiqi, you have to know, using Power requires a method, and there’s a limit. If you cannot properly use your Power in the future, then don’t try; I won’t always be by your side to protect you, understand?” Jia Yan said to Jia Qi as she got up from the ground, tearful in the eyes.

Jia’s family has recently had plenty of good news. Just after the revelation that a Strong One of the Great Level was stationed in the Defense Team, it was immediately followed by the news that Princess of the Jia Family, Jia Qi, at merely eleven years of age, under Mo Ke’s guidance, surpassed all Earth people and became the first to advance to Sky Level!
