Meanwhile, the sounds of battle five kilometers away gradually become more muted.

Before long, it disappears altogether!

On the hillside, two former assassins gaze into the distant woods, where billows of smoke are now rising. Flames are still burning, and the smell of scorched matter wafts all the way to where they stand, five kilometers away. The heat is uncomfortable!

”What is it? Could it be fighting the metal monsters?” The bearded man inquires with a severe frown.

”It’s appeared!” The young man with glasses by his side suddenly speaks in a low voice.

Indeed, during their observation, from the now-subsided battlefield, a monumental figure suddenly lets out a loud roar!

The colossal body soars into the sky!

”Such a huge monster!” The villagers here freeze in horror, screaming in fright!

Without a doubt, the monster flying from the battlefield five kilometers away is indeed a massive creature!

This monster possesses a body that spans approximately twenty meters. Despite lacking wings typically necessary for flight, it ascends into the sky!

The creature’s body is a weird pale green, covered in neatly arranged black armor, appearing technologically advanced and odd!

From its monstrous size and its indifference to the flames engulfing its body, it’s clear this monster is no pushover.

”Quick, hide! No matter what it is, try not to be seen!” The bespectacled young man, Xiao Yao, who had kept a sliver of hope in his heart, snuffs it out upon seeing this monster. He starts shouting!

People finally start to react, scrambling to hide in every direction!

Some hide in the ruins, others dash into the grass!

It’s not that they don’t trust the firearms in their hands, but the monstrous figure and the bizarre ability to fly without wings make them realize that this might be a formidable individual like the terrifying ’Giant Mosquito’ from ten years ago. Firearms might be useless against it!

”Ha-ha, I’ve wiped out another team of no fewer than a hundred mining machines, and made a fifty-kilometer advancement. Lord Assassin must reward me!”

The monster flying in the sky is one of the Earth City members and one of the two Peak Sky-level Experts amongst the monsters that came to Earth!

At this moment, he is quite satisfied with his progress rate. Even though he is momentarily astonished by the number of active mining machines on the ground, he doesn’t care much. After all, as a powerful Peak Sky-level creature, he is not afraid of the crude Red Light Attack from the metal monsters!

”Huh, there are so many indigenous creatures down there? Should I go down and ask them where the most mining machines are?” This monster flies at an extremely fast speed, instantly reaching above the broken village five kilometers away.

He was thinking of landing, but then he realizes that he wouldn’t understand their language and dismisses the idea.

”They’re indigenous; I can’t communicate with them. I don’t understand why Lord Assassin cares about them so much. But the intentions of the Lord aren’t for someone like me to fathom. I just need to do as the Lord requests!”

The massive creature doesn’t stop, swoops over the ruins overhead!

”That was close!” The people below had initially thought that their crude attempts at hiding could escape this monster’s detection. They cautiously emerge from their hiding places, their hearts pounding with terror.

”What’s going on? Monsters are appearing on Earth again? And such a colossal one at that. Seeing that it can fly without wings, we cannot understand it. Could it be from outer space...”

”It looks like our Earth, there’s going to be changes. Whether these will be for better or worse for us Earth people, sigh!”

Watching the enormous figure rapidly leaving in the sky, the bespectacled young man and the bearded man exchange a glance and shake their heads helplessly.

In the past, Earth was a place where so-called ’assassins’ like them reigned supreme. But today, even the world’s greatest expert in the past would likely perish under the Metal Monster’s attack, not to mention this sudden appearance of a monster, perhaps as deeply unfathomable as the Big Mosquito from the past.

”Forget it. We just need to protect our little patch of land, and not let down the trust the Lord has placed in us.” The bearded man checks the people from Jia’s family, seeing that they aren’t too alarmed, he clenches his fist.

”Thank you!” The bespectacled young man is filled with gratitude.

”Why are you thanking me for?”

”I’m married to their family, so naturally, I should thank you.”

”Goddamn! If I were a bit younger, I wouldn’t have let you get away with it. Hmph.”

...

”Attention to all listening to the radio, we now interrupt with breaking news!”

”Breaking news!”

”Reliable sources confirm that today a raiding squad spotted our closest ally in war, the species that has been the greatest help to Earth people—the Giant Mosquito tribe, has reappeared today!”

”This news has not been confirmed by official sources. However, we have invited special war commentator, Mr. Lin, to analyze and discuss the significance and possible impacts of this sighting...”

In less than an hour after the Big Mosquito appeared, the news spread wildly in all directions across the entire Earth!

News like a signal that lifts spirits, brings a different atmosphere to Earth after a respite of ten years!

”The Giant Mosquito reappeared? Is that really the Giant Mosquito?!”
