”Maybe Xiao Yao and the others may have some connections with the Giant Mosquito. But sadly, the Giant Mosquito is no longer on Earth...”

Almost all Earth people knew about the departure of the giant mosquito from Earth. Since there was neither news of the Giant Mosquito’s death, nor any sightings of this species in nine years, there was only one explanation — for some unknown reason, the Giant Mosquito race had wholly left Earth!

”Perhaps others do not believe it, but I have always known that the Big Mosquito was one and the same! It had always been our family’s guardian deity! It will surely return!” Jia Lin was gazing at the sky, steadfast in her thoughts.

While Jia Lin was still reminiscing about the past...

A colossal shadow streaked across the sky!

”Huh?!” Jia Lin was taken aback, her eyes widened involuntarily!

Boom boom boom boom boom!!!!!! ——————

Huge explosive sounds erupted five kilometers away!

Fierce shockwaves reverberated in the sky!

As if it were the shockwave of a Category 10 typhoon, it knocked down a large patch of trees, ejecting flames jetting to the sky, lighting the entire land in red!

The sight of the fight was terrifying!

Jia Lin, too, was staggered by the enormous impact, swaying and leaning against a wall for support.

”What is happening over there?!” Jia Lin was staring at the hellish landscape not far away, her face filled with horror!

”No... Qiqi is still at home!” Realizing this, Jia Lin’s face changed, and she quickly turned and ran towards home.

The entire village was shaking, and some ramshackle buildings were making unbearable sounds, teetering on the verge of collapse!

Boom boom boom!!!...

Amidst the booming sounds, the cries of children were mixed with the shouts of adults. This scene made the ruined village seem even more chaotic. Many people were gathering outside their houses.

These people were all in tattered clothes, mostly weak and sick elderly and children.

However, among these people, there was also a small team composed of young men. These men were assisting children and supporting the elderly, and amidst the sounds of explosions, they arrived at an open space!

”What exactly is happening?” Most people still did not know what had happened. They had not heard such terrifying explosion sounds for many years!

”Could it be those metal monsters?” Many people thought of this possibility.

”No! I... I just saw a huge monster’s shadow! It must have caused this.”

Jia Lin, panting, spoke from behind the crowd.

Everybody turned around, including a familiar-looking man.

This man was wearing glasses. Although he was no longer young, the sharpness in his face was even more evident. He was ’Xiao Yao,’ also one of the two Assassins!

And now his identity was that of the leader of this small village, and also Jia Lin’s current ’husband’!

”Little Lin, did you say a giant monster?!” He startled and hurried to Jia Lin’s side, his face filled with concern as he asked.

”Daddy!” A juvenile voice came from Jia Lin’s arms — a little girl under one year old.

She was sweet and chubby-faced, resembling Jia Lin very much.

”Good girl, Qiqi.” The young man with glasses smiled at the child and then turned his attention back to Jia Lin, who was holding the little girl.

”Yes, a very huge monster! But I only caught a glimpse of its shadow, so I don’t know what it looks like.” Jia Lin pursed her lips and said.

”Let’s go! Let’s go to higher ground and see!”

The young man with glasses waved his hand, and after exchanging glances with the Bearded man, led a few people towards a high point in the village with a face full of both expectation and worry!

”Little Lin, is what you’re saying true?”

Just as Jia Lin was about to follow them with her child, a slightly old voice came from behind!

”Grandpa, Grandma!” The little girl in Jia Lin’s arms giggled and reached out to the two people behind!

”Qiqi can call us grandpa and grandma, she’s so smart.” The middle-aged woman among the two people took the little girl from Jia Lin’s hands with an affectionate face.

At a closer look, these two were none other than the nearly sixty-year-old parents of Jia Yan!

Another ten years had passed, and the two of them had aged significantly. They could no longer be called middle-aged people, but referring to them as old people wouldn’t be inappropriate either.

They were holding affectionately the little girl that Jia Lin had held previously. From their address, it’s not hard to guess that this little girl was actually Jia Lin’s biological child?!

”It’s true, I saw it with my own eyes. That monster might... might be as big as the Big Mosquito from the past! No! Even bigger!” Jia Lin recollected, and said.

”Could it possibly be... the Big Mosquito?” Jia Sheng stopped playing with his granddaughter and looked worriedly at Jia Lin and asked.

It is worth mentioning that their family seemed to have some mysterious connections with the Big Mosquito, and even their survival to this day could be credited to the Big Mosquito.

Jia Lin tilted her head and thought for a while. She looked confused and innocent, still like a little girl, not like a mother with a child of her own.

The moment after, she shook her head.

”Unlikely. It seemed to have no wings.” Jia Lin finally said.

”No wings?! Then how did it fly in the sky? Couldn’t it be that you saw wrong!” The elders said in surprise.

At this point, Jia Lin herself also didn’t know if she had seen wrong, but she felt that she had definitely not seen wrong.
