Reborn As An Interstellar Giant Mosquito

He had known all along that he was no match for these aliens.

Or rather, he hadn’t expected at all that he would be of any use in such a battlefield!

Killing those metal monsters had already boosted his confidence considerably.

Even after seeing Daphne wield weapons far stronger than his own, Jia Yan didn’t feel the slightest bit discouraged!

Deep down, he only longed even more for his own growth!

He wanted to become stronger, strong enough to easily defeat these metal monsters!

Strong enough to not fear the weapons in Daphne’s hands!

Or even strong enough to roam freely in the vacuum of space without any restraints!

That’s right!

Become a Star Sky Beast!

At that moment, the Big Mosquito, whose vision had been limited by its life on Earth, set a grand goal for itself for the first time!

That goal was extremely clear!

Keep getting stronger!

Strong enough to become the much-feared Star Sky Beast referred to in the so-called Imperial records!

Jia Yan had no clue what the path ahead would be like.

However, after being in space and witnessing these alien civilizations, he realized that he was not strong enough.

At present, he was barely capable of dealing with those metal monsters, also known as mining robots in the alien society!

He was unwilling to remain at his current level.

Hence, he yearned to keep growing!

Thinking about growth, he held the pieces of paper in his wings even tighter!

Daphne had likely never imagined that her seemingly casual actions would only reinforce the Big Mosquito’s determination to become stronger!

Of course, even if she knew, it wouldn’t matter.

In her view, every creature in this universe yearns to further its evolution.

An evolutionary creature wanting to become stronger was perfectly normal.

After all, this was the first time she had encountered an evolutionary creature as weak as Jia Yan!

She had felt the same way back on Earth: this weak evolutionary creature could augment her combat power.

Despite being noticeably flawed, the Giant Mosquito could easily be killed by either her or the Auster civilization.

However, if its fighting power were manipulated and aided to some extent, it would undoubtedly prove formidable!

If Jia Yan had attacked this base on his own, the Austrians would have countless ways to prevent him from even getting near it.

Yet under Daphne’s guidance, Jia Yan’s combat power had been amplified.

It was unexpected that he had managed to survive this long, but Daphne was naturally thrilled to have such a powerful weapon at her disposal in the ensuing battle.

“You’ve truly surprised me, Mr.

Giant Mosquito.

Let’s go, we might have already won half the battle.”

Daphne smiled lightly, a genuine smile.

It was the first time she had shown such a smile to Jia Yan.

This was a smile of recognition.

Moreover, Daphne seemed somewhat satisfied with Jia Yan’s understanding of the situation.

After all, anyone else in his place, herself included, coerced into joining a battle that seemingly had nothing to do with them, would undoubtedly be disgruntled and subsequently shirk their responsibilities during combat.

Yet, it seemed as if the Big Mosquito was genuinely fighting hard.

In Daphne’s eyes, this was definitely a good sign.

After all, if the Big Mosquito didn’t put in its best effort, it would likely affect her too.

Daphne’s satisfaction was what Jia Yan had been aiming for.

At this moment, his life was still in her hands!

Even though he had started harboring murderous intentions, he didn’t show it.

Besides, he knew that it would be easy for Daphne to take his life if she wanted to, so there was no point in displaying his discontent!

Jia Yan, appearing to be thoroughly tamed, followed Daphne deeper into the passageway.

As he watched the woman in front of him, his murderous intent flashed by momentarily.

Daphne, on the other hand, didn’t have such thoughts.

In her mind, no matter how smart an evolutionary creature might be, it was still akin to a wild beast.

Even though the Giant Mosquito monster following her seemed unnaturally smart, she believed it wouldn’t play any tricks on her.

After all, it was just a monster!

Under such an impression, she had no idea that the Big Mosquito behind her already harbored murderous intentions towards her!

The two of them moved ahead, reminiscent of a master walking her pet.

Jia Yan occasionally glanced around.

It seemed there were no other defense mechanisms in this so-called base.

As they passed through a hallway, Daphne skillfully twisted a button behind a metal wall.

When the button was turned down, Jia Yan saw a massive form appear in the corridor behind them!

It was that giant humanoid alien mecha!

Perhaps knowing that the battle in the base was lost, it immediately abandoned the outside fight and entered the passage to intercept Daphne!

Its speed was incredibly fast, and due to its breakthrough, the metallic doors in the rear space were demolished.

The vacuum was like a ferocious beast, draining all the air to the outside world!

At the first instance, Jia Yan felt a massive pull.

Luckily, he was standing near the metal wall.

With a forceful stab of his sharp right forelimb, he plunged it directly into the metal wall, steadying his body that was being dragged by the gravitational force!

And above their heads, a metal door suddenly fell as Daphne turned the switch!

Clang!

When the massive mech was about to reach them!

The metal door stood between them!

Jia Yan’s body was only a few dozen centimeters away from the falling metal door.

When it fell, he evidently heard a deafening sound.

An obvious attack indent appeared on the metal door!

Bang bang bang!!!

——

A series of loud noises echoed around.

Jia Yan felt his body trembling due to the constant attacks!

He looked somewhat concernedly at the door.

As previously, Daphne could easily destroy the metal door, and he did not believe the mecha could not destroy it.

To put it bluntly, Jia Yan did not think he could fight the mecha.

Perhaps he was not even on the same level as it!

But Daphne’s words dispelled his worry.

“Let’s go, there’s another door up ahead and many more obstacles!”

After saying that, Daphne led the way forward.

“My aircraft has already hacked the control system of this base.

It’s laughable, the Auster people, over one hundred and fifty years, and they’ve not changed their control system at all.

They deserve to be hacked!”

Daphne’s words gave off a somewhat triumphant tone.

When they passed the threshold of another door, suddenly, another metal door came crashing down!

Jia Yan saw that the mecha from behind had not chased them, only then did he breathe a sigh of relief.

Daphne, leading Jia Yan, encountered several cybernetic entities akin to metal monsters along the way.

However, with their joint efforts, they managed to prevent all of them from inflicting significant damage without exceptions.

Jia Yan thought that even if he hadn’t shown up, Daphne might not have had it so easy, but her attack was still able to pose a considerable threat to them.

Perhaps she could even achieve her goal of breaking into the base!

In their swift assault, they wiped out roughly two batches of metal monsters, and similarly humanoid mechs didn’t appear a second time!

They came to a place resembling a circular spiral staircase.

This was a profound space.

Jia Yan and Daphne had attacked this so-called base from its highest point, so they were now at its lowest level.

Arriving at this spiral staircase, they could look directly down to see a nearly two hundred meter staircase.

Looking down was as if they were on top of a sky-scraping building, incredibly high!

Of course, Jia Yan didn’t care about this height.

He merely felt somewhat vexed that this base, which seemed to have a height and width of only about two hundred meters from outside, looked not so small now!

Where was the main control room?

If they had to look floor by floor, this place seemed to have at least twenty floors.

Then when would they find it!

“I think the outcome has already been decided, don’t you think, Auro!” (To be continued.
