【Seeking Subscription】_1 But now another crisis had yet again appeared before these unprepared people.

It was the lack of food!

Food was scarce and prices were exorbitantly high, so these desperate people had no choice but to resort to violence!

They had started to plunder others’ food!

Although the government had started distributing some food, it was just a drop in the bucket.

Hence, these pitiful people, had transformed into offenders, and even small gangs and groups began to spring into existence!

Maybe one of these small gangs would eventually grow into a colossal power, it was all possible!

Among these, a gang gradually grew around the outskirts of Shanghai City.

When no one was watching, their power continued to grow day by day.

The leader of this gang was a man of immense strength.

He was known as…

Northeast Wild Tiger!

This powerful man was said to have the strength to tear off a person’s head with his hands, and he could dodge ordinary firearms at incredible speed!

He had a friend and partner, who was both a mentor and a companion.

This was a super powerhouse who once caused quite a stir in Huaxia, he was known as ‘Addicted’!

The presence of these two super powerhouses in the gang made it incredibly strong.

The weapons they possessed were among the top line in the vicinity as well!

‘Addicted’ was a well-known figure in Huaxia.

Getting a batch of weapons at this time was a breeze for him.

As a result, the combat power and the number of members of the gang were growing by the day.

By the time the government’s regulatory personnel noticed, the strength of the gang had already grown to a point where they were not easy to deal with!

And today, it was the day of the battle between the Northeast Wild Tiger and another large gang!

One side controlled nearly a tenth of the territory on the outskirts of Shanghai, and the other controlled nearly a fifth.

These places were filled with refugees from other places.

The government didn’t see much value in these territories, but these gangs were highly interested!

It had been fifteen days since the Red Light Attack on the Capital of the Star-Spangled Banner Country, Washington.

In just half a month, it seemed as if the rules of time had changed!

In terms of Huaxia, the government and the military still held the most significant overt power.

No other force could potentially compete with the government, but at this time, the military and government appeared to have tacitly accepted the emergence of these large gangs!

There were just some restrictions!

They wouldn’t attack these self-sufficient gangs as long as they complied with regulations and didn’t commit atrocious deeds.

Otherwise, they would face suppression from the military!

What the government needed was for these gangs to help the government and the military manage the civilian population due to their scarcity of manpower.

If possible, it would be best to restore some regular production and living.

After all, the current situation had not yet deteriorated to the point of being unable to carry out normal production and living.

There were not many cities that had fallen so far, but the public order had significantly worsened, and the government had to prepare for the incoming war against the Metal Monster, leaving them no time to oversee the refugees’ actions.

So, they needed an obedient representative, something everyone would like to see!

So, these obedient gangs are just the perfect existence!

However, the people on top had their policies, and the people on the bottom had their countermeasures, hence today was the day when two gangs fought against each other!

The Northeast Wild Tiger had a faint smile on his face amidst his gang.

This young man had been through ups and downs.

His previous factory, under the attack of the Giant Mosquito and other powerful beings, was lost.

He even almost died.

But now, this man had stood up again!

Back in the day, he consumed the Black Original Solution once.

This solution, according to his family’s senior manuscript, had a one in a few thousand chances of transforming into a very powerful person!

And that ‘National Beast’ of the Wa Kingdom, who once dominated the world’s top three powerhouses, is rumoured to have become so formidable because of this substance.

At that time, the Northeast Wild Tiger was about to die.

Naturally, he didn’t care about the high mortality rate.

Unexpectedly, he succeeded!

With odds of one in a few thousand, he succeeded and became the second ‘Monster’ after Horiuchi.

This monster even appeared in this chaotic era!

So, he made the most of his situation!

His growth rate was even faster than what ‘Addicted’ could have ever imagined.

This was another version of the monster!

Or rather, a monster among humans!

And today was the day the members of both sides met at an agreed location.

One side had more than a hundred people, while the other had over three hundred.

Unlike meetings in peaceful times, these groups brought real firearms!

“Northeast Wild Tiger, you northerners should go back to your Northeast!

What makes you think you can strut your stuff here in our Shanghu?”

About 300 of them on one side, a man looked at the group of over a hundred men before him.

They weren’t even half his number.

He spoke with an air of contempt.

This man was the leader of the opposition, a local who held notable sway in Shanghu, thus amassing such a large troupe of strong and courageous individuals.

Across from this group of people, within the hundred plus men, stood a tall man.

His rugged features and wild arrogance stark on his face.

As a new monster, not many could stand against him in this world.

As long as he elevated his combat experience, he would reach the pinnacle of human strength on Earth.

Hence, he held no regard for anyone else here.

Even surrounded by an army, his demeanor remained unchanging.

After all, he had the most formidable bodyguard lurking, waiting for the right moment in the shadows of the night.

They were outnumbered, but he was unafraid.

“Why all the pointless chatter!

I, the Northeast Wild Tiger, haven’t encountered many brave ones in Shanghu.

You, show me now whether you’re one of them.

Ha ha!”

The Northeast Wild Tiger laughed boisterously with a wild look on his face.

His words, of course, rubbed the opposing side the wrong way, before long, gunshots began to fill the air.

Bang Bang Bang!!!—

The sounds of battle raged on for half the night.

Even the whooshing sound of grenades and rocket shells filled the air.

This showdown wasn’t any different from a small-scale military battle.

And as night faded and dawn approached, the outcome of the skirmish was determined.

The opposing gang was forced to withdraw, and the outsider, Northeast Wild Tiger, emerged victorious!

With this, Northeast Wild Tiger firmly established his foothold on the outskirts of Shanghu, to the point where even the big shots of Shanghai City considered their options before making moves against him.

“Word has it there are two formidable assassins in Shanghai City.

Let’s send someone tomorrow to rally them to our side.

We now need such individuals – those who can pose a threat to the big shots face to face.

The pressure I exert on my own is simply insufficient.”

After the victorious Northeast Wild Tiger smoked habitually, he continued in a nonchalant tone before disappearing into the shadows.

“There are such assassins in Shanghai City?

I wasn’t aware of this.

It seems Addicted has more intel than me,” mused Northeast Wild Tiger, watching the spot where Addicted had vanished.

He had a deep respect for this expert; even after becoming a ‘monster’, he still wasn’t someone he could handle at this stage.

“You two, go to Shanghai City and find these so-called assassins, and see if they have any weakness,” instructed the Northeast Wild Tiger, perhaps making the worst decision since his transformation into a ‘monster’.

Turmoil stirred in Shanghai City.

The rest of the world plunged into utter chaos!

As time passed.

Finally, on the eighteenth day of the red light attack on Washington…

It was in a village not far from Shanghai City.

The humans of this mountain village had already fled.

Though there were occasional refugees passing through, no one ever considered this place a permanent dwelling.

None of these passersby knew that…

The biggest attraction of safety in Shanghai City was the Big Mosquito monster and it was in a small forest less than a few hundred meters away from this tiny village where it was undergoing its transformation.

As of today, the day of transformation had already reached the eighteenth day!

Never before had the wait for mutation been so long!

However, it seemed like this mutation was nearing its final stage!
