[Subscribe]_1 Even though Jia Yan kept insisting he didn’t want to absorb any more soil from the ground, his body continued to crazily take in soil and other substances from the earth.

Perhaps, even Jia Yan himself hadn’t realised that his mutation wasn’t simply powered by a single superior mutating material; every mutating substance, every kind of matter, mattered in the process!

If he lacked certain substances commonly found in soil, his mutation would not be perfect.

Even if he purely used the best mutating material, the effect wouldn’t good using just that.

Instead, Jia Yan’s body was simply following its instinct, absorbing all useful materials into its body and aiding his mutation process!

The main substances essential for his mutation is, of course, the green-grey pebble and metallic elements.

These two things ensured the success of his mutation and will be the foundation of his future power.

As for the other auxiliary substances, they seemed rather irrelevant at this stage!

While Jia Yan was undergoing mutation, the earth, for reasons unknown, was entirely absorbed by his condensation fluid!

Those that hadn’t been absorbed were directly covered instead, making him look like a green-grey heap of clay.

Appearing like a large pile of dark coloured dirt when viewed from high above.

Whoosh!

Whoosh!

Just as Jia Yan’s mutation had reached this crucial stage, an extremely fast object was flying across the sky, leaving behind a peculiar and graceful trail in its wake and approaching at breakneck speed!

The speed of this object was simply astonishing!

Suddenly, it broke through five times the speed of sound.

Its flight was incredibly smooth, as if this was not even its limit.

This flying object, shaped like a stick, didn’t have an extraordinary design, but its speed was enough evidence of its power!

However, at this moment, there was slight damage to its exterior.

Some minor impairments were visible on the surface, some parts were even destroyed, making it look rather battered and run-down!

It hovered in the sky, as if it were searching for something.

Occasionally it would even stop and lightly hang mid-air.

It didn’t take long for this fast flying stick-like object to arrive at the village where Jia Yan was situated!

However, this flying stick didn’t show any strange behaviours, as if it didn’t recognize the location where Jia Yan was!

As it hovered above the location, it shone a faint light downward.

The light didn’t have any offensive power, but instead seemed to possess a probing force!

But when the light fell onto Jia Yan, who was in the middle of mutation, there was no reaction from his greenish body!

It seemed like the condensation fluid on Jia Yan’s body had blocked the probing power of the flying stick!

But now, Jia Yan’s life signals had reached a very low level.

Even though his body was in a mutation state, his vital signs weren’t very high compared to before and, in fact, there was a few hundred times difference!

Previously the strength of his life force felt like it was unmatched on planet Earth.

However now, his life force was quite feeble, comparable to that of a small pet.

Perhaps the probing ray was meant for detecting life forces, for which it was unable to detect Jia Yan’s current one.

The flying stick surely couldn’t have anticipated that the once mighty life form had now decreased its vitals to such an extent!

Therefore, it hovered a bit in the area before flying fast toward the sky, and in a while, its figure disappeared into the distant horizon!

The mutating Jia Yan was oblivious that he had just blocked an attack from the flying stick.

The stick, even though seriously injured, was unable to destroy the flying saucer.

He was yet unaware of what this would mean for him after his mutation.

At the moment, his entire being was deeply immersed in the mutation process, a state in which all his senses and any external perceiving capabilities had vanished.

Or perhaps, every mutation his body went through was a reorganising process.

Currently, he might even be in a state of suspended animation.

While Jia Yan was in this state of suspended mutation, the Earth World finally encountered the real attack of the Metal Monsters!

At that moment, billions of humans on Earth, who had breathed a sigh of relief at the monsters’ ceased attack, where jubilant.

Suddenly, a red ray appeared above the capital city of the strongest country of humans, above Washington, the capital of the Star-Spangled Banner Country!

This ray of light was like a meteor tearing across the sky!

And in the next instant, after the appearance of this meteor, the red light directly hit the White House in Washington!

The light swallowed everything!

BOOM BOOM BOOM!!!

All of the humans who witnessed this incoming ray of light were instantly blinded, reduced to seeing nothing but their own immediate surroundings, everything else having vanished.

At that moment in the White House, several high-ranking government officials were discussing important matters.

The onset of this ruthless white light, however, instantly transformed their discussion into the final memory of their lives!

Regardless of whether it was the national leader who resided in the White House, the President of the star-spangled banner country, the general who actually controlled the country’s military power, or the other senior officials, all without exception vanished in the face of the strike of the red light!

Vaporized, completely vaporized!

All their traces of existence in the universe vanished in the face of the red light!

And the destruction wrought by this red light was far from over.

The red light struck the White House, shattering this political center of the world to wreckage!

Boom Boom Boom Boom!!!!

——

A massive red beam was still ascending steadily!

The whole Earth seemed to tremble!!

A mushroom cloud, synonymous with the political and economic heartland of humanity, appeared!

The fiery red flames roared wildly in all directions from within the mushroom cloud.

It devoured all material which it came across.

The material could be a house, a high-rise building, a human, or a dog!

It treated everything equally, seemingly a fair god that regarded all the humble creatures indifferently.

This red light, like a rapidly expanding aperture, caused everything engulfed in it to vanish one by one!

The colossal redness dyed the vast Earth a crimson red!

The origin of this red beam need not be mentioned.

On this planet, there is only one entity capable of unleashing such formidable power of red light—

That was the structures built by the Metal Monsters!

These structures were too powerful, so powerful that they were almost boundless!

After the explosion, the entire previous Washington area, the huge city, had starkly lost half of itself!

And to be clear, this isn’t to say that only half of it was destroyed!

It truly lost half!

The explosion of the red light condensed so powerfully that it wiped clean everything in its range, even the towering skyscrapers vanished, leaving only a few remnants and ruins that were not even as high as a single-story house!

In contrast, those areas of the city not affected by the red light escaped, besides enduring the massive shockwave of the explosion that blew away countless materials and killed many humans, with relatively less severe injuries!

There was no radiation, no excess dust, it seemed as though this inconceivably potent red light explosion had directly vanished without a trace, with absolutely no subsequent damage and impact!

But this was only on a physical level.

On a psychological level, in the eyes of humanity, such an attack was a monumental shock!

The people of Earth, in an instant, were plunged into an extreme state of shock and chaos!

The capital of the most powerful country in the world, the capital of the star-spangled banner country, was bombarded by a red light, directly losing half of itself!

This incident, was equivalent to dropping a massive bomb amongst humanity, naturally, the Metal Monsters did indeed drop a bomb, a bomb more potent than almost any bomb humans currently possess!

The Metal Monsters, half a month after emerging from the Underground World, finally revealed their sharp claws!

The devouring continues.
