Reborn As An Interstellar Giant Mosquito

However, Jia Yan was no longer human, hence, the attractiveness of this beauty held little sway over him.

As for the machines, it was impossible for them to comprehend the beauty of human females on Earth.

If anything, they were eager to instantly eliminate this female being!

Amid her swift movements, Daphne activated the weapon in her hand.

The light emitted from her gun struck a humanoid machine that was right on the verge of attacking her!

Following a massive explosion, the machine was forcefully flipped midair.

Jia Yan noted that the defense of these humanoid machines far surpassed that of the other metal monsters they were currently facing!

However, Daphne remained unruffled, with her dual weapons continuously firing.

The two humanoid machines attacking her continually faced obstructions, while Daphne expertly maneuvered around their light beam attacks.

It seemed that possessing a comparatively smaller frame held some advantages in conflicts of this level!

Jia Yan glanced over at the ongoing battle and was momentarily distracted, thereby making himself a target for a metal monster’s assault.

His aerial advantage was ineffective here, thus he was struck repeatedly!

Yet, these larger metal monsters were incapable of inflicting severe damage on Jia Yan due to his Deep Blue Defense.

In the same vein, Jia Yan’s proud front foot attack was unable to instantly kill these monsters, leading to a momentary stalemate between the two forces!

Both sides boast ultra-strong defenses, but are unable to overpower their opponent!

Jia Yan swiftly leapt into action!

Back in the previous area, the Gravity System was deactivated.

After opening the metal door, though this area maintained some level of gravity, it was marginally weaker compared to Earth’s gravitational force.

This was probably due to the damage they had caused in the prior areas.

Consequently, at this moment, the Big Mosquito was able to move even faster after pushing off the metallic ground!

As for the air, there seemed to be a decent amount, however, its volume seemed reduced due to their destruction of the area behind them.

At least, Jia Yan was unable to extract sufficient oxygen from the atmosphere.

Luckily, his ability to hold his breath was exceptional.

At least an hour’s worth of oxygen was enough to sustain him throughout this grand battle!

“I have never tried pure ground combat before.

Trying it now doesn’t actually feel bad.

It seems ground combat is something I need to study more.

After all, my current strategy is to prioritize aerial combat and if I encounter a combat environment like this, I will definitely be disadvantaged!”

Jia Yan was indeed a bit frustrated.

If the battlefield was on a planetary body and he could utilize his flight advantage, he would clearly have countless attack options, and his attack power wouldn’t be as dampened as it was currently.

However, under these circumstances, he couldn’t hope for much.

Speaking frankly, if this was on a planetary body, who knows what other tricks the enemy could have up their sleeve?

Considering that their spacecraft were so advanced they could traverse the entire Solar System, being able to combat these alien civilization’s combat machinery to such an extent was a surprise even to Jia Yan.

As for the specifics, Jia Yan couldn’t guess.

Maybe these so-called bases or other things had been abandoned, lying dormant for over three hundred years.

Or perhaps these alien creatures didn’t represent the true strength of their civilization here.

Jia Yan simply couldn’t believe a Starry Sky civilization capable of journeying across the Universe only had such meager combat power!

A metal monster sprung aggressively towards Jia Yan positions!

Jia Yan steeled himself and ignored the creature’s ferocious charge, raising his forefoot in response.

He was ready to engage these metal monsters in a straight-up physical battle!

These metal monsters were heavily fortified.

Jia Yan wanted to see if he could detect any vulnerabilities through close combat!

The metal monster lunged onto Jia Yan’s body.

Standing over 1.5 meters tall, it used its iron frame’s weight to produce a significant impact force directly onto Jia Yan’s body!

Jia Yan was forced a step back, but he quickly regained his footing.

His Compound Eyes shined eerily.

Seeing that the Giant mosquito monster was momentarily pinned down by one of their counterparts, the other metal monsters took this opportunity to rush forward!

Their speed was incredibly fast, forming a stark contrast with those not-so-fast metal monsters on the surface of Earth!

At this moment, Big Mosquito lifted his forelegs fiercely!

And jabbed them down just as fiercely!

His speed was extreme!

Clang!

Clang!

Clang!

Clang!

——

A continuous stream of sounds echoed in this thin-aired space.

The Metal Monster that pounced on him suffered dozens, if not hundreds, of attacks in an instant!

Jia Yan was fast.

Even so, his forelegs could only leave a faint trace of injury on the Metal Monster’s body.

As it pounced on him, there appeared an eerie red glow in the barrel of the Monster—it wasn’t a red light beam, but something hot, something much like molten lava flowing out of it!

“What is this?!” Shocked, Jia Yan had allowed the enemy to get close for one reason—he trusted his defensive power.

Especially with the Bluish Defense up, he thought rounds of the Metal Monsters’ attacks would be harmless to him!

The only thing he was worried about, was that they would cut off the gravity and air in this place again.

As a Big Mosquito who could not survive without gravity, his combat power would immediately drop significantly if these two were to be taken away.

He initially thought that by fighting in close range, he would quickly spot the weak points of the Metal Monsters.

But what he didn’t think of was, weren’t these Metal Monsters also testing his defense?

Sizzle!

Sizzle!

Sizzle!

——

Distinct sounds filled the air. The thin air was rapidly losing its oxygen to the red substance that seemed like a solution—it appeared to need oxygen to produce heat.

This might be the very reason why the enemy kept supplying air to the battlefield!

Jia Yan’s appearance in this setting must have been an accident.

But it was clear that the enemy was prepared for this fight—it might even have been prepared for the situation Daphne would find herself in.

A drop of the red liquid, with an unknown but incredibly high temperature, fell slowly.

Horrified, Jia Yan saw it land in front of his Defense Cluster—it penetrated right through the Defense Cluster in a blink!

The moment that droplet hit his exoskeleton, Jia Yan heard an even more intense sound of high-temperature burning!

At this moment, his Deep Blue Defense emerged from within his exoskeleton!

The Deep Blue Defense popped up swiftly, yet it still comes out slightly too late.

The red solution spread rapidly on the surface of Jia Yan’s exoskeleton, and it left severe burns on the places not covered by the Deep Blue Defense.

A few strands of the red solution drilled through the holes in the burnt exoskeleton and seeped into the muscles underneath.

“Ah!

——”

Jia Yan felt the anguish!

With a forceful swing of his foreleg, he knocked the Metal Monster away.

Meanwhile, his other four legs fought off the other Metal Monsters lunging towards him just like a whip—they were all sent flying into the air!

Jia Yan, in severe pain, erupted with enormous power.

This power was not small by any means.

Even so, the knocked-back Metal Monsters, after flying into a metal wall or landing on the ground, stood up as if nothing had happened to them!

Jia Yan watched these gigantic Metal Monsters with a bit of awe.

Without any doubt, these were the most powerful Metal Monsters he had encountered until this point!

Their bodies were incredibly hard, perhaps not comparable to Jia Yan with his Deep Blue Defense.

But his bladelike chitin forelegs were not able to easily break down their defenses!

Moreover, they had many methods of attack—as they had already shown, their gun barrels could spew out a red liquid resembling lava.

That lava-like liquid gave Jia Yan a big shock.

So now, he no longer dared let those gigantic Metal Monsters get close—who knew what other modes of attack they were capable of!
