Divine Emperor of Death

Chapter 3638  The Venue

”…”

Davis carefully watched Evelynn mine. Her antics became funny to watch after some time, making him and the others relax as they watched her mine the immortal crystals.

”I didnʼt expect first mother to be so funny.”

Eterna sat at the edge of the pool and giggled.

”Oh, she is fun…”

Davis nodded proudly while Mingzhi gave a side-eye, knowing he was eying Evelynnʼs fun bags. However, Mingzhi had to admit the experience was like watching a streamer play a mining game.

Seeing that Evelynn was safe, they diverted their attention to Isabella and Shirley.

Isabella seemed to reach the hidden cave behind a lavafall while Shirley still seemed to be on her way to searching a Hidden Pagoda, traversing on the mountain range.

It wasnʼt long before Isabella encountered Altross.

They heard him say something that incensed each and every one of them before Isabella escaped using an escape talisman.

”Whatʼs a demon spawn…?”

Celestia asked.

She had come out of the pool and was lying on Natalyaʼs body comfortably. When they heard her question, everyone felt guilty for some reason. Celestia was so innocent because Eterna looked like she already understood a bit, her eyes turning cold like those of her mother, Shirley.

”Itʼs nothing, Celestia. Just a bunch of people jealous of our talents and want to mock us with insults.”

Eterna harrumphed in her cute voice as she shrugged.

She was lying on Davis as she said that, causing Davis to be moved before he patted her head and inwardly praised her.

”Celestia, come here.”

Davis beckoned, and Celestia did so obediently. She stood beside him, causing him to lift her up and place her on his lap to Eternaʼs side, holding them dear.

”A demon spawn or a vile spawn is a derogatory term used to address children who are born out of wedlock or without the approval of their parents and elders. It should not be taken seriously since we do not consider the parentsʼ or eldersʼ opinions to be the most important when it comes to marriage. Ideally and by law, the two individuals involved in the marriage have the most say.”

”Oh~”

Eterna and Celestia responded. Marriage was too far for them as they only knew of training and didnʼt know any boy of similar age, so they couldnʼt relate. However, they understood that they would have the most say in their marriages, causing them to smile sweetly.

Their understanding of marriage was there would be sweet boys willing to give their life for them and celebrations, mostly celebrations. Other than that, they still werenʼt sure how children were born as it was kept under wraps or confused from everyoneʼs different opinions.

However, they already could tell vaguely how children were born, as it was becoming more obvious when they saw the little brothersʼ genitals that were different from them.

Davis blinked as he saw them daydream.

”…”

He didnʼt know if his six year old daughters were already dreaming of getting married, making him inwardly cry.

”Forgive me.”

Nonetheless, he opened his mouth, embracing them again with as much warmth as he could.

”Your father is considered an evil entity no matter where he goes, so it is most likely you and your mothers will also receive the same insult in the future. We canʼt do anything other than tell them to stop or suffer consequences.”

”Kill?” Eterna inclined her head.

Her mannerisms made Davis blink.

”Mother already taught us what to do if weʼre provoked,” Celestia answered.

”What did she say?” Davis asked, causing Celestia to answer obediently.

”Mother said we can either kill them or ignore them if they go too far or out of reach.”

”Yes~ My mother Shirley also said to cleave them apart like theyʼre chickens or ignore them like theyʼre ants~” Eterna raised her hand as though she was holding a butcherʼs blade before she flicked a finger and acted all pompous with her hands folded.

”Pfft~”

Mingzhi spat out the juice she drank to the side, causing Myria to be splashed in it. However, she raised her hand and stopped the juice from staining her.

”…”

Davis didnʼt know what to say.

It wasnʼt like Mingzhi laughed. She was speechless.

However, they both knew they had to teach their children reality, but they didnʼt know how to go about it as they also felt like they shouldnʼt be advocating killing to their children. They felt it was enough if they dirtied their hands but clearly, such wishful thinking wasnʼt entertained by Eterna and Celestiaʼs mothers.

It was they who were half-hearted about it, making Davis and Mingzhi feel ashamed.

It was now obvious to them that before Isabella and Shirley departed, they imbued their values onto their children without holding back.

Nonetheless, looking at Isabella, who was finally out of danger, he let go of them.

He had wanted to close their eyes before they see something gory but fortunately, Isabella wasnʼt in danger anymore. Eventually, she managed to regroup with Crystia and Noctis, which made him sigh in relief.

By this time, Shirley also found a huge tree in the distance.

They followed her journey while Eterna went full fan mode, cheering on her mother until Shirley and Dewzai arrived near the huge tree.

The two of them were flabbergasted.

Davis and the others were also flabbergasted as they noticed the difference between the Eternal Lumina Tree and this tree, not to mention the Empyrean Stage Crystal Beasts.

”What the hell is this Candidacy supposed to be?” Mingzhi fumed, ”Thereʼs no way Immortal Kings could beat Empyreans…”

”Does that mean once all the seals are lifted, it is possible that they would all be entering the Immortal Emperor Stage…?”

Natalya inclined her head and wondered out loud.

The others also made some deductions, but Myria finally opened her mouth.

”I think I know what this place is…”

”Did you recognize from the tree?”

Davis asked. He wanted to ask her if she recognized the mammoth tree. If yes, then she might know its habitat as well.

Myria nodded, her expression churning with a bit of disbelief.

”It shouldʼve been obvious from the name. This is most likely the Crystal Dimension, a repeatedly occurring Minor Dimension in the Three-Layered Universe that carries an almost endless amount of immortal crystals, although the number of appearances can be counted on one hand…”
