Urban Seduction: Housewives Club

Chapter 1107: Chapter 1107: Grandma

Liu Yiru and Liu Fengyi, who got out of the car next, stood their ground and locked eyes with the woman, their faces mirroring the same excited expressions. Poor Liu Junyi, however, was blocked by her two older sisters and had to get out from the other side.

Realizing that he probably didn’t have much to do here, Ye Fei decided to join his younger sister Ye Yunying, who was waving at them from the side. He asked in a low voice, ”What’s going on?”

”I’m not sure, but I feel like this person has a deep connection with us,” Ye Yunying replied in a hushed tone. ”Don’t you think she looks a lot like our mom and our two aunts?”

Hearing his third sister’s words, Ye Fei’s heart jolted. He immediately recalled the flash of inspiration he had when he saw the Gu sisters and their mom, Wen Suqin, in Tangjiazhen. Now that he thought about it, combining the appearances of his mom and aunts from half a year ago, it did look incredibly similar to this incredibly powerful beauty.

The reason he hadn’t thought of it before wasn’t because his powers of observation were inferior to his sister’s. It was because his mom and aunts were just too important, too deeply etched in his heart.

It had subconsciously made him unwilling to acknowledge that there could be a woman identical to them, so he hadn’t even considered it.

Now, with his sister’s reminder, the similarities became more and more apparent to Ye Fei.

Just then, the women who had been staring at each other for a long time finally made a move. Liu Fengyi took a step forward and asked in a voice that was both excited and incredulous, ”Are you... Mom?”

As soon as Liu Fengyi spoke, the woman couldn’t hold back any longer. She lunged forward, hugged Liu Yiru and Liu Fengyi tightly, and cried, ”Yes, yes, my daughters, Mom’s back!”

”Mom!” Even Liu Yiru started to cry upon hearing the woman’s confirmation. Although it was hard to believe, the woman looked exactly like the mother in their memories. Most importantly, the undeniable feeling of a blood connection couldn’t be faked, which was why they had been so excited just now.

As for Liu Junyi, who had been ”orphaned” shortly after birth and could only rely on photos for a sense of her mother, she wasn’t familiar with her mother’s appearance. However, she too felt that unbreakable blood connection. She didn’t know why, but upon hearing her sisters’ cries, everything suddenly made sense, and she joined them.

The four women cried together, while Ye Fei and his siblings stood there, bewildered. Although they had guessed that this woman must have a deep connection with their family, they never expected that she would be their grandmother, Wang Yueryao, who was supposed to have passed away thirty years ago.

However, Ye Fei knew that his mom and aunts would never mistake someone else for their mother. This formidable beauty, whom he had met briefly, must indeed be his grandmother. Watching their emotional reunion, he couldn’t help but feel a sense of nostalgia.

”Hey, why is everyone crying? We haven’t even confirmed anything yet. And even if we did, shouldn’t we be happy?” Ye Yunying said in a low, carefree voice.

Ye Fei couldn’t help but roll his eyes and said to his rather insensitive third sister, ”Think about how you felt when you were reunited with Shui Ying!”

”I didn’t cry back then; it was the eldest and second sisters who did!” Ye Yunying retorted stubbornly, though she already understood the feelings of the Liu sisters.

At that moment, Ye Yunqi interjected with a smile, ”Yunying, being stubborn isn’t a good trait, you know.”

”What did you call me?” Ye Yunying was taken aback by Ye Yunqi’s address. Although they were used to teasing each other without regard to age, Ye Yunqi had never called her like that before.

Ye Yunqi giggled and said, ”Yunying, what’s the matter? I’m twenty-four years old now, you know. How old are you? Come on, call me sister and see how it feels.”

When they entered the valley, Ye Fei and Ye Yunqi were seventeen. They had spent seven years there, so it wasn’t wrong for Ye Yunqi to say she was twenty-four now.

Ye Yunying disdainfully curled her lip and said, ”Even if you were two hundred and forty, I’d still be your sister. You’ll never change that in this lifetime!”

While the siblings chatted and laughed on one side, the four women on the other side had vented some of their excitement and finally stopped crying, though their eyes were still red.

Wang Yueryao released Liu Yiru and Liu Fengyi and took Liu Junyi’s hand, apologizing sincerely, ”Junyi has grown up so much. Mom is sorry for all of you.”

Among her three daughters, she felt the most guilt towards her youngest, Liu Junyi, who had been less than a year old when she left, still nursing.

”Mom, don’t say that. We all know you must have had your reasons, right?” Liu Junyi said understandingly. Liu Yiru and Liu Fengyi nodded vigorously. Their quick acceptance was largely thanks to Shui Ying, whose story was strikingly similar to theirs.

Their daughters’ magnanimity made Wang Yueryao feel both relieved and even more indebted to them. She sighed, ”Even so, the fact remains that I abandoned you when you were so young and didn’t come back to see you for thirty years.”

Liu Yiru wiped her eyes and smiled faintly, ”Mom, let’s not talk about that now. Haven’t you met your grandchildren yet?”

”Grandchildren?” A fleeting look of confusion crossed Wang Yueryao’s face before she nodded and sighed, ”Yes, you’re all in your thirties now. It seems I’ve missed out on so much.”

Then, Wang Yueryao turned to look at Ye Fei and the others, her face showing a flash of surprise as she looked straight at Ye Fei and said, ”It’s you?”

Ye Fei was speechless again. It seemed that his grandmother had just noticed him. She was such an incredible powerhouse that she could overlook things around her to this extent, which showed just how excited she had been earlier.

He smiled faintly and said, ”It’s me. I felt a strong connection the last time we met. I never expected you to be my grandmother.”

”Mom, this is my son Ye Fei,” Liu Yiru introduced. ”And this is my daughter Ye Yunqi. They’re fraternal twins.”

”Hello, Grandma!” Ye Fei and Ye Yunqi immediately put on their best behavior and greeted her in unison.

”Good, good, you two are truly a pair of exceptional children,” Wang Yueryao said, looking at her grandchildren with immense satisfaction. Especially Ye Fei, whom she had felt was extraordinary the last time they met, and now she realized he was her grandson.
