Chapter 206: Rumors ( 3 )

Yao Zhi smiled and replied, ”Manager Jiang, you can name a price. If the price is good, then I will sell all my goods to you.”

Hearing this, Jiang Muling thought for a moment and asked, ”How much do you have?”

”I have a total of 7 sacks, each sack weighing 50 jin.”

The moment she said this, both Jiang Muling and Xi’er were stunned. For her to be able to collect so much high-quality rabbit fur, she must have raised many rabbits at home.

After thinking for a long time, Jiang Muling finally said, ”Yao-shi, I’m willing to pay 2 taels of silver per jin for your rabbit fur.”

When she heard the price, Yao Zhi was surprised. The price was actually double what she had expected. Even though she was delighted, she showed nothing on her face.

Seeing that she said nothing, Jiang Muling thought that she was dissatisfied with the price, but she didn’t rush to increase it. Instead, she waited for her to make up her mind.

A while later, Yao Zhi finally said, ”Manager Jiang, I can sell the fur to you at this price, but I want long-term cooperation and 1% of your store’s annual profit.”

Jiang Muling smiled when she heard this and replied, ”Yao-shi, long-term cooperation is not a problem. But regarding your request for a share of the annual profit, I have to discuss it with the store’s owner.”

Yao Zhi nodded and smiled. ”I understand.”

”Then, about this batch of fur...”

”For this batch, let’s go with the price that Manager Jiang offered.”

Hearing this, the impression Jiang Muling had of her improved. After they reached an agreement, Yao Zhi went to find her husband and asked him to carry the sacks into the store. While he waited outside, she settled the accounts.

When Jiang Muling was counting the money, Yao Zhi said, ”Manager Jiang, if possible, I would like the payment in gold ingots.”

Although she found the request uncommon, she agreed. She handed her a pouch and said, ”Yao-shi, here is a total of 7 taels of gold.”

The total payment for the rabbit fur was 700 taels of silver. When converted to gold, at 100 taels of silver for 1 tael of gold, the amount was correct.

Yao Zhi accepted the money and said, ”Thank you, Manager Jiang. I will send another batch soon.”

”I will wait for your good news,” Jiang Muling nodded.

Using her sleeves, Yao Zhi stored the gold ingots in her system’s storage. Before leaving, she added, ”By the way, besides the rabbit fur, I also have other types of fur. But this matter can wait until we reach an agreement about the annual profit share.”

After saying this, she turned and left without waiting for any response. When they were alone, Xi’er finally asked, ”Manager Jiang, do you think she was telling the truth?”

Jiang Muling glanced at her and said, ”Don’t ask things you shouldn’t ask. Bring these furs to the backyard and let the workers process them.”

Xi’er was young, but she knew her limits. So, after being reprimanded, she bowed and quickly went to do her task.

Meanwhile, Yao Zhi had climbed into the donkey cart and sat in the driver’s seat. Afterward, Fu Chen’an held the reins and asked, ”Wife, do you want to visit another place?”

Thinking about the things at home, she nodded and said, ”Husband, let’s take a look at the market.”

Seeing that his wife wanted to stroll around the market, he nodded and led the cart toward the horse market. Carts were not allowed in the market, so they had to entrust their donkey cart to someone first.

As usual, they found the old man and asked him to take care of Xiao Lu before they walked to the market. This time, they didn’t have anything they wanted to buy and only browsed slowly.

They strolled for a long time and didn’t buy anything. Seeing that the time was getting late, Yao Zhi said, ”Husband, let’s go back.”

Although they didn’t buy anything, Fu Chen’an was in a great mood. He was happy to spend time with his wife, even if they were just walking around.

After paying the old man, they drove their donkey cart back home. When they arrived, the sky had changed color. While her husband took care of Xiao Lu and stored the cart, Yao Zhi went to wash her hands and cook dinner.

They had dinner together before taking a bath and going to sleep. Over the next 2 days, they stayed at home. While Fu Chen’an was busy fixing the fence and checking the roof, Yao Zhi was busy in the kitchen.

Over the past 2 days, she baked a total of 5 baskets of flatbread and 5 baskets of scallion pancakes, each basket weighing 50 kilograms.

Since her husband had already seen her baking, she opened her system’s shop and browsed the snacks section.

She bought 10 tins of peach sandwich biscuits. Each tin weighed 15 kilograms and cost her 50 points. Besides the biscuits, she also bought jackfruit, apricot, peach, and sweet potato fruit chips,10 boxes each, costing her a total of 200 points.

Checking her system’s storage, she saw that she still had a lot of fruit chips left. Yao Zhi rarely ate snacks, so she gave all the fruit chips to her husband, including flavors that shouldn’t have been available in this era.

To avoid raising suspicion, she changed the packaging to PLA bioplastic. Her husband already knew that she had a method to make bioplastic, so he wouldn’t doubt her using it to store food.

When she was done, she checked the miscellaneous section and bought 50 large clay water vats. Each water vat could hold around 500 gallons of water, which equaled more than 1,892 liters, and cost her 200 points each.

She thought about the number of soldiers and felt that this amount of water should be enough for them during an emergency. After buying the water vats, she placed them in her system’s farmland and filled them with river water.
