Radiant Dragon’s Otherworldly Reincarnation

Chapter 47. You Must Have a Lot of Worries (3)

“My lady, please wait a moment.”

A young nobleman approached her with hurried steps.

Marianne said to him with a smiling face.

“I’m tired, so I’d like to rest now. If it’s alright with you, perhaps next time….”

“I said it would only take a moment!?”

“……”

At the man’s sudden shout, Marianne wore a blank expression.

It was the first time someone had been this rude to her, especially in a banquet hall.

In such an unexpected situation, she was frozen more by bewilderment than anger.

And not missing that opening, the man grabbed Marianne’s hand and pulled.

“It will only take a moment.”

“H… hey. Hey!”

As he tried to drag her away by force, she finally shouted.

And as his daughter’s sharp voice rang out, a voice filled with rage echoed as if in response.

“You baaastard!”

Count Parmas shouted, his body trembling with rage.

How dare he try to drag his daughter away by force right in front of him?

Furious to the tips of his hair, Count Parmas shouted.

“Knights! Drag that rude fellow away. No, throw him in the dungeon.”

“Yes, sir!”

As soon as their lord’s command was given, the armed knights quickly ran to apprehend the ruffian.

“Let go of her hand.”

“If you don’t let go, you will regret it.”

The knights tried to subdue the man with words first. But that was their mistake.

“Do not interfere!”

The man shouted in an angry voice and rushed towards the knights.

The knights initially wore scornful expressions, but….

Wham!

“Keoheok…”

The moment one of the knights was hit by a fist, he flew backward, spitting blood. And the man, still holding Marianne’s wrist with one hand, looked at another knight.

“Do not… do not… interfere, I saaaid!”

And in the man’s fist, as he swung it again, a black aura had formed.

“Keuk…”

Craaash!

That knight quickly raised his shield to block the punch.

But despite blocking the attack, he was pushed back several steps.

A clear fist mark was imprinted on the shield that had blocked the attack.

“Interfere… heueue… hehehehe… do not interfere… hehehe. I am… I am…”

“What? You… what are you?”

Only then did Marianne realize.

That the state of this man holding her wrist was not normal.

The veins all over his body stood out grotesquely in a purplish hue, and his eyes had turned a bloody red.

And above all, his mental state was not normal.

At first, he had seemed somewhat normal, but now he was no different from a madman.

“Let go of me… Aaaack!”

As she pulled her wrist and tried to escape, the opponent grabbed Marianne’s wrist even tighter.

At that moment, she screamed from the pain, as if her wrist was breaking.

The man looked at the pained Marianne and said with a crazed smile.

“Mine. You… you are mine…”

“You… you bastard…”

Even amidst the pain of her wrist feeling like it would break, Marianne glared at the man with a venomous gaze.

Her lofty pride, which would not yield to mere physical pain, was commendable.

But that gaze only served to further stimulate the man’s madness.

“You… hehehe… you hate me? Me… hehehe… hahaha ha!”

The man pulled Marianne even harder and now held her with both hands. Then he brought his face close to Marianne’s and said.

“No. You… are mine. Hah… hah… haaah… you are mine, so… hahaha ha…”

“You crazy bastard…”

It was an impeccably accurate observation.

At that moment, Count Parmas, who had been watching the scene, shouted.

“What are you all doing? Subdue that man at once, no, you may kill him. Save my daughter.”

Then, a few more knights who received the Count’s order rushed in. However….

“Do not interfereeee! I said do not interfereeee!”

The knights couldn’t carelessly approach due to the man’s flailing fists and rampage.

“Keuk…”

“Damn him…”

The power he was emitting was too formidable to simply subdue, and if they attacked with full force, they couldn’t, for fear of harming their lord’s daughter who was right next to him.

In that frustrating situation, the Count shouted, filled with ever-growing rage.

“What are you all doing? Why aren’t you rescuing her quickly!?”

The knights were doing their best, but the situation hardly improved. Out of frustration, the Count looked around and shouted.

“Anyone will do. I will grant a great reward to whoever defeats that madman and saves my daughter!”

The moment those words were spoken….

People saw it.

No, actually, they didn’t see it.

All they saw was a single, flashing streak of light.

Craaash!

A roar was heard a moment after that flash of light.

Afterward, what people saw clearly was….

“You scoundrel! How dare you threaten the Count’s daughter. I, Patrick Schneider, will not forgive you.”

It was the sight of the assailant, with one arm severed, flying into and getting stuck in the wall, and a young man, having saved the Count’s daughter, shouting proudly.

Seeing that scene, Baron Schneider put his hand to his forehead and said.

‘I thought we agreed not to stand out, you brat…’

He was a child who truly did not go according to plan.

* * *

It was almost at the level of a conditioned reflex.

The moment the word ‘reward’ came out of the Count’s mouth, Patrick was running.

And swinging a steak knife, he severed the assailant’s arm, saved the precious money… no, the Count’s daughter, and then kicked the assailant, sending him flying.

Then he shouted in a loud voice.

“You scoundrel! How dare you threaten the Count’s daughter. I, Patrick Schneider, will not forgive you.”

At that scene, everyone fell into a quiet silence.

“My goodness, just now…”

“What did I just see? No, did you even see anything?”

“No, just a flash…”

“Is it magic? Is he a mage?”

Amidst the murmuring people, Patrick acted with dignity.

He very carefully set Marianne down and then….

“Are you alright, my lady?”

“Ah… ah… yes.”

“I am relieved that you are not hurt. Please rest assured now. I, Patrick Schneider, will surely protect you.”

“……”

From Patrick’s extremely polite and careful attitude, Marianne felt a genuine heart.

The man before her now was truly treating her with care.

She could feel that he wasn’t just seeing her as a tool for advancement or being lost in her beauty, but was genuinely cherishing her.

‘A reward, and a great reward at that, he said, right? Kukukuku… I wonder how much he’ll give?’

Of course, Patrick was being sincere.

‘Kehehehehehehehehehe.’

Extremely sincere.

“Kuhhh… mine… she’s mine! Marianne, you are miiiine!”

The man who had been sent flying into the wall by Patrick screamed and staggered to his feet, then charged again.

At that sight, Marianne flinched.

Even with her strong nerves, she was frightened at the moment she directly faced the madness aimed at her.

But a dependable back appeared before her.

“You’re talking nonsense.”

Patrick smiled coldly.

He hadn’t thought he would die from that in the first place.

He had controlled his strength to not kill him when he kicked him, and above all, if what he was thinking was correct, there was no way he would die easily.

“Well, good. I had something to find out from you anyway.”

Patrick rushed towards the charging opponent a step ahead. And then….

Thwaaack!

The man’s jaw was cleanly turned by the fist that was swung.

It went beyond his head snapping back; his jaw joint was cleanly dislocated.

“Keoooooargh!”

A normal person would be rolling on the ground, writhing in pain, but the opponent didn’t care in the slightest and charged, screaming.

But Patrick, as if waiting for it, grabbed the opponent’s shoulders.

Then, with an indifferent touch, he skillfully pressed the joint areas. And then….

Crack! Snap!

A skillful bone-dislocating Qinna.

It was a technique that dislocated joints by infusing acupressure and ki into them, without any complicated twisting or bending.

Its drawback was that it could only be used when there was a significant skill gap, but there was no better technique for subduing an opponent.

With his shoulders completely dislocated, the man’s arms hung limp.

“No matter how much you can’t feel pain, you can’t move if your joints are dislocated.”

“Kahahahahaang!”

At Patrick’s words, the man let out a monstrous scream, opened his mouth wide, and tried to bite Patrick’s neck.

He was an opponent showing horrifying tenacity even with a dislocated jaw. However….

Craaaack!

The skill gap between him and Patrick was too great to be overcome with tenacity or guts.

Patrick, who sent the opponent flying into the air with a kick, clenched both his fists.

“I won’t kill you. Instead…”

A cruel smile appeared on Patrick’s lips.

“I’ll grind every bone in your body to dust.”

And Patrick’s countless fists exploded on the opponent floating in the air.

Infinite Hell Chain Fist (Weakened Form) -You Cannot Die.-

Papapapapapapapapapapapapapapak!

“Wa… waaaah…”

“Uwaaah…”

“Woooow…”

No words came out other than exclamations of awe.

So a person could be beaten like that.

So a person could take a beating like that.

Everyone present saw it.

The strange sight of the assailant, floating in the air, being continuously beaten without even being able to scream.

After about 5 seconds of that tenderizing.

“Hap!”

With a finishing blow, the assailant was sent flying once more into the wall he had been embedded in earlier.

Then, he twitched on the spot, letting out only incomprehensible groans from his mouth.

“Grrrr… heuuu…”

And Patrick, retracting his hands, said sternly.

“In the presence of I, Patrick Schneider, atrocious evil deeds will not be forgiven.”

“……”

“……”

“……”

In the silent crowd, only one person spoke coldly.

“What a load of crap.”

‘Father. Pleaase…’

* * *

Baron Schneider glared intently at his son.

And Patrick, receiving his father’s heated gaze, simply turned his head and whistled.

Furious at this sight, Baron Schneider ground his teeth and said.

“I thought we agreed to stay quiet?”

“……”

“Wasn’t the plan to stay quiet, not stand out, just hold our position, and go back?”

“Well, the situation was a bit…”

“You lost your mind and jumped out the moment you heard the word ‘reward’? And you talk about staying quiet and holding our position.”

“Hahaha. We have to save people, don’t we?”

“Oh, so you have no desire for money? Should I tell the Count that we don’t need the reward….”

“Are you crazy, Father?”

“You rotten…”

The bickering of the father and son in someone else’s house was temporarily halted by the arrival of Count Parmas into the study.

“Sorry to keep you waiting.”

“Not at all, my Lord Count.”

“First, please sit. Young Patrick, you sit as well.”

“Yes. Understood.”

The Count, sitting across the table from the father and son, stared intently at Patrick and said.

“Young Patrick. How old are you?”

“I am fifteen this year.”

“Not even an adult yet.”

Count Parmas looked at Patrick with an expression of disbelief.

The martial prowess Patrick had shown at this banquet was no ordinary feat.

It was too fast to see properly, but he had subdued the assailant that the knights were struggling with in an instant.

For a person with such power to be only fifteen.

‘Is he a genius?’

In this world, there are occasional individuals who show a growth rate that defies common sense.

The kind of people who make others feel wronged and cheated just by watching them.

For a long time, there had been no talent in the East.

The most prominent talent to emerge recently was his own pretty and beautiful daughter, who was achieving excellent grades in the academy’s department of public administration, but other than her, looking at the youths of the East was so pathetic that it made one sigh automatically. However….

‘So, his rude attitude, and the light and vulgar side he showed afterward, were all expressions of his confidence, is that it?’

Geniuses often show behavior that deviates from common sense or etiquette.

This is because the norms and formalities created by the standards of ordinary people are too stifling for geniuses.

‘Not bad. No, rather, it’s excellent.’

At first, he thought he was a spirited young man.

Then, he thought he was a rude and vulgar brat who only cared about money.

And now, having confirmed his skills, Count Parmas felt he had finally seen Patrick’s true face.

Well, that’s what he thought, anyway.

“You must be happy to have such an excellent son, Baron Schneider.”

“…Yes.”

It was Baron Schneider, answering with a voice that sounded like it was squeezed out with force, wearing an extremely wronged expression.

An excellent son?

Yes. He was excellent.

In just five years, he had stabilized the barren and dangerous Schneider fiefdom, greatly improved the standard of living for the people, and trained the soldiers into a strong army.

So, it was true that he was excellent, but….
