Radiant Dragon’s Otherworldly Reincarnation

Chapter 41. I Guess I Should Start Training in Earnest (2)

It was a real pain in the ass.

When I first started training them, they seemed to follow along with some enthusiasm, but to be honest, the training Patrick ordered wasn’t something one could follow with enthusiasm alone.

Patrick had a precise grasp of the limits of human endurance and forced the soldiers to train until they were on the verge of death.

The soldiers spent their days so harshly that they seemed to fear the sun rising every morning.

Eventually, there were soldiers who showed reactions such as defiance, desertion, or giving up, but Patrick didn’t give up on a single one of them and led them all back to the training grounds.

How could he do that, you ask?

What else could there be?

In the Radiant Dragon Great Master’s dictionary, violence was a panacea.

Patrick grabbed each one by the scruff of their neck and dragged them into the world of the strong.

As a result, the soldiers of the Schneider fiefdom were now strong enough to not fall behind even if they were pitted against knights, though they were soldiers only in name.

‘If possible, I wanted to make the Twin Dragon Sect like that.’

In truth, the biggest reason the soldiers grew so quickly was that Patrick had invested the achievements he had gained from constantly improving and researching martial arts for the Twin Dragon Sect in his past life.

As Patrick met an untimely death, the disciples of the Twin Dragon Sect couldn’t enjoy the benefits, but instead, the soldiers of the Schneider fiefdom in another world, across dimensions, did.

“You should consider it an honor. You bastards. Hmm… has the alcohol run out?”

Realizing the bottle was empty, Patrick, though annoyed, was about to get up to fetch more alcohol, but….

“Here you are, Young Master.”

“Oh? Ahh… You’re quick-witted, April.”

“Thank you.”

There was a maid politely handing Patrick a whole bottle of alcohol.

But, was it right to call this woman a maid?

The clothes she was wearing were clearly a maid’s uniform.

And she was waiting on Patrick with flawless etiquette.

Although the location being the roof of the mansion was a bit odd, she was, in any case, a maid.

She was acting just like a maid. However….

“Is something wrong?”

“No, it’s just that you’ve gotten prettier.”

“Thank you, Young Master.”

“No, I mean, stop getting prettier. I told you it’s not good to be too pretty, didn’t I?”

“I understand. I will do my best to stop getting prettier.”

“How? Don’t tell me you’re planning to scar your face?”

“If it is the Young Master’s command, I will….”

“Don’t. My mother will kill me!”

“Then I will try my best to become ugly.”

“Is that something you can achieve through effort?”

“I will manage it somehow.”

“……”

She’s gotten a bit strange too.

Patrick thought to himself.

April.

The girl with the Nine Yin Severed Meridians whom Patrick had treated before, she was now working as a maid for the Baron Schneider family.

However, the reason it was difficult to simply call her a maid was….

‘She’s gotten ridiculously pretty. I bet she could slap around those girls they call the Five Beauties of the Central Plains or whatever.’

The problem was that she had become too beautiful to be just a maid.

Her dazzling blonde hair was like molten gold.

Her light green eyes, reminiscent of the fresh green of spring, were so beautiful they could captivate anyone who looked at them.

Her flawless, fair skin and fantastical features looked as if they were sculpted from all the beauty in the world.

April was pretty.

In Patrick’s terms, she had become fucking beautiful.

Was that a bad thing?

No. Patrick was a man, so of course, he liked pretty women. His wife in his past life was once called the most beautiful woman in Sichuan, after all.

‘But shouldn’t there be a limit to how pretty she is? Huh? Everything should be in moderation.’

That’s right.

April was too pretty, even for a pretty girl.

Patrick knew it too.

That treating the Nine Yin Severed Meridians would result in an astonishingly beautiful appearance.

Hadn’t his mother, Baroness Ava, also become so beautiful that others would lose their minds looking at her?

But April’s case was even more severe.

If a person with a weak mind looked at her, they would go beyond admiration and become completely entranced.

She had acquired a beauty that could make not only the opposite sex but also the same sex lose their minds, just by existing in a place without doing anything.

‘As expected of the True Nine Yin Severed Meridians. But I wonder if this is entirely a good thing….’

A woman’s beauty could sometimes be the cause of trouble.

What Patrick was worried about was the conflict April’s beauty would create.

‘In my past life, too, there was a huge uproar over marrying the woman called the most beautiful in Henan.’

A pretty daughter was born into an ordinary merchant family.

As her beauty spread and her fame grew, every Tom, Dick, and Harry jumped in, saying they would marry her, causing a complete mess.

Under my Master’s order to mediate, I rushed to Henan, only to find over a hundred people gathered, pointing their weapons and panting with rage, while the woman called the most beautiful in Henan was trembling with fear.

‘Thinking about it again, it’s ridiculous. You bastards.’

Sometimes, it seemed there were quite a few guys who seemed to think with their lower body instead of their upper body.

Anyway, Patrick realized it then.

That a beautiful woman could be a source of problems just by existing.

And that point was probably no different in this world.

For now, she stayed out of the mansion as much as possible, and the servants inside had grown somewhat accustomed to April, but I couldn’t keep her locked up in the mansion forever, could I?

That’s why Patrick began to seriously teach April the sword a few years ago.

In fact, that was the original purpose.

From the time he treated April’s Nine Yin Severed Meridians, he intended to teach her martial arts once her physical condition improved.

But when he was about to teach her, his mother opposed it so strongly that he postponed it.

[How can such a small and fragile child learn the sword?]

Sometimes, Ava cherished April so much that one might think she was her daughter.

In the end, Patrick couldn’t teach the sword even with a Heavenly Martial Body right in front of him.

But with the persuasion that she needed the strength to protect herself as she grew more beautiful, and decisively….

[My lady. If the Young Master wishes it, I want to learn.]

Because April herself decided to follow Patrick’s will, he was able to teach her the sword.

At that time, Patrick breathed a sigh of relief and began to teach her martial arts in earnest.

He seriously taught her the martial arts of the Twin Dragon Sect, including the Supreme Purity Heart Law that he had taught the soldiers. And the result was….

[Is it over now?]

That was what April said, standing proudly alone after taking care of all the soldiers in the training yard.

No one stood up at those words.

Even Sanson, the strongest among the soldiers, was busy lying on the ground, trying to catch his rough breath.

April bowed her head to the soldiers and said.

[Then I shall be on my way….]

And watching April leave the training yard with light steps, the soldiers said.

[She’s a monster.]

[To think there was another monster besides the Young Master.]

[And she’s a different type of monster from the Young Master.]

[She definitely didn’t even know how to hold a sword at first.]

[That’s right. She was like that at first.]

The soldiers had seen it clearly.

April’s appearance as she first entered their training area and learned everything from the Horse Stance to how to grip a sword.

That was just two years ago. But….

[She got that strong in just two years?]

[Haaa…. Life is bitter.]

[What’s the point of living. Let’s all just die.]

That day, the soldiers of the Schneider fiefdom fell into collective despair.

Just when their confidence was starting to build after working their asses off, their pride was shattered by a sixteen-year-old maid.

And so, at the age of 16, April established herself as the second most powerful person in the Schneider fiefdom.

However, that second-in-command later put on a maid’s uniform and worked diligently as a maid for the Baron’s family.

As if sword training was merely a means to serve the Young Master better, not her main duty.

“……”

As Patrick stared at her intently, April spoke as if she didn’t understand.

“Why are you doing that?”

“No, I was just looking because you’re pretty.”

“I apologize. I will work to become ugly at the earliest possible….”

“That’s enough. Don’t do it. My mother won’t like it if you don’t dress up.”

“Understood.”

“And sometimes, don’t just stick by my side, go somewhere else. Is there nowhere for you to be if not beside me?”

“Yes.”

“……”

The answer came out without a second’s hesitation.

Ugh, she scares me.

The Radiant Dragon Great Master Jin Cheon of the world.

A person with a mindset that could intimidate Patrick, who was known as the official craziest guy in the martial arts world, across the Orthodox, Unorthodox, and Demonic Factions, was right here.

Patrick sighed, picked up the alcohol bottle, and got up from his seat.

“Let’s go to the Orcs.”

“Yes. Understood, Young Master.”

The soldiers were now doing well on their own without Patrick having to teach them every little thing.

They’ve taken their first steps, so I just needed to leave them be.

But the Orcs still needed a little more of his care.

Because the Orcs were weaker than the soldiers?

No. The soldiers had grown much stronger, but the Orcs had also grown stronger, and their strength was nearly equal. However….

“Haaa…. What a fate. Why is it that when I cross one mountain, there’s another?”

You’ll know why Patrick was like this when you get there.

***

“Uwooooooo!”

“Ooooooooh!”

The Orcs’ exclusive training yard, specially built in the Schneider fiefdom.

In that training yard, which was built much larger than the one used by the soldiers, the Orcs were diligently swinging their stone swords.

Yes, they were training hard.

Really hard….

“Hey, you bastards!”

That is, until someone ran up and kicked one of those Orcs square in the side.

“Kkweeeek!”

As one Orc flew through the air screaming like a stuck pig, the other Orcs flinched.

And Patrick looked at them with his eyes flashing and said.

“Even a troll would understand if I explained it that much. You bastards! How many times do I have to tell you to swing it the way I taught you? Huh!?”

Seeing the raging Patrick, the brave warriors of the Orc tribe….

“L-let’s do as he taught us.”

“Let’s do it again. Again….”

“Stance. We have to get our stance right. Otherwise, he’ll get angry.”

They quietly did as they were told.

The span of five years was enough time for the Orc tribe to learn what kind of person Patrick was.

The Orcs were brave warriors who did not fear death, but they were afraid of a madman.

Basically, that guy was unreasonable.

And he was a complete master of violence.

In terms of striking a living being, whether human or Orc, in a way that was most painful without causing serious injury, Patrick had already reached a godlike level.

It wasn’t that there were no Orcs who tried to resist courageously. However….

[I refuse. I won’t do it.]

[Hoh, really? Good. It’s a match between my fist and your guts.]

[Kk… Kkuuuuh…. Just kill me instead.]

[No can do. It’d be too easy for you if you died, wouldn’t it?]

[Grrrrr….]

Well, that’s how it went.

The reason Patrick trained the Orcs while tormenting them like this was to pass on the saber arts of the Hebei Peng Clan to them.

[Brother. Even if our family is completely ruined later, please ensure that our family’s martial arts survive. That is the price for me teaching you our Peng Clan’s secret martial arts.]

Iron-Blooded Saber Dragon Peng Mujong.

I thought he was just a guy who only knew how to charge in thoughtlessly, but he was surprisingly a guy who could think.

At first, I thought he was talking nonsense. However….

[Brother…. It’s a promise….]

[Stop talking nonsense and shut up. You bastard.]

[I… trust… you….]

The Hebei Peng Clan, who knew no retreat, fought bravely in the most dangerous places when the war broke out.

What Jin Cheon, who had rushed to help too late, was met with was the last will of his sworn brother, dying in his arms.

And Patrick couldn’t even keep that promise.

Because Patrick, too, met his end in the war before he could pass on those martial arts to the descendants of the Hebei Peng Clan.

And he had been thinking about it ever since he saw the Orcs.

‘Could there be a more perfect physique for learning saber arts?’

The most important things in learning martial arts are insight and physique.

It’s good if you excel in both, but even if you excelled in just one, you were worthy of being called a prodigy.

And the place in the martial arts world that valued physique the most was the Hebei Peng Clan.

The saber arts of the Hebei Peng Clan were martial arts that focused on speed and dominance rather than complexity or profundity, and if one’s physique couldn’t support it, it was common for joints to dislocate or muscles to tear while using the techniques.

That’s why it was said that even when direct descendants took a wife, they looked at her physique.

And the Orcs’ physique was fundamentally incomparable to that of humans.

So Patrick gathered the Orcs and said.

[Consider it an honor. For I will teach you the greatest saber arts in the world.]

There was no way the Orcs would understand what “greatest in the world” meant. However….

[The teachings of a great warrior are good.]

[I learn too. Me too.]

[Can become stronger.]

As if to prove they were a warrior race, everyone rushed forward at the thought of becoming stronger, saying they would learn the saber arts from Patrick.

Seeing that, Patrick smiled.

‘Kuhuhu. This is it. This is how it should be. When the great Radiant Dragon Great Master says he’ll teach a thing or two, it’s normal for them to rush in with such sparkling eyes.’

he thought.

At first, that is.
