Radiant Dragon’s Otherworldly Reincarnation

Chapter 36. He is a Real Monster (1)

-Kwooooorrr!

The King Ogre’s fist and Patrick’s twin swords collided.

Kwaaaaang!

A rock?

No.

This felt like striking a giant lump of iron.

Patrick’s full-powered blow pushed the King Ogre’s fist back, but not a single small scratch was left on that fist.

“Damn, you’re tough.”

An Ogre’s hide was tough to begin with.

So much so that without sword Qi, one couldn’t even leave a mark.

But the King Ogre’s hide was beyond that.

Even Patrick’s sword Qi, which had sharply cut through other Ogres, could not pierce it.

-Uwooooooh!

Meanwhile, the King Ogre was just as angry.

A being so small and frail, no different from an insect compared to itself, had dared to strike its fist head-on.

It could not tolerate the existence of Patrick, who had dared to resist the king’s iron mace.

-Kahaaaang!

The King Ogre’s fist, now carrying even more force, flew towards Patrick.

Kwaang!

Patrick dodged the punch, ran up the Ogre’s slammed-down fist and arm, and instantly closed in on the Ogre’s face.

“Let’s see if your face is thick too.”

Patrick’s sword, having reached the King Ogre’s face in an instant, unleashed countless strikes upon its face.

Kakakakakakak!

A sound unimaginable for cutting a face with sharp sword Qi rang out.

It was a sound like scratching a hard, thick iron plate with a sharp nail.

“Damn it….”

As the attack aimed at its face also failed, Patrick’s expression darkened.

It was an attack imbued with the power of 7-star or higher, but it could not pierce the King Ogre’s tough hide.

And….

-Krrrung!

The King Ogre swung its hand with its eyes squeezed shut.

It was a motion like swatting a bug, but if Patrick were hit by that, he would be turned into pulp.

Patrick, with no way to escape in mid-air….

Swoosh.

He simply let the strength drain from his body.

The ultimate release of strength.

The moment the King Ogre’s ruthless attack struck Patrick, who had drained all the strength from his body….

Tuk.

Would it sound like this if you hit a light feather in mid-air?

The King Ogre’s attack had clearly landed.

But Patrick, who was hit, simply let the attack flow past him and was sent flying far away.

The ultimate release of strength and perfect distribution of force.

Despite being hit by the Ogre’s attack in mid-air, Patrick felt no impact at all.

As Patrick spun through the air and landed lightly, the King Ogre looked at its own hand in disbelief.

-Krrrrr….

It had certainly struck with all its might.

So how could that tiny little being who took its attack be unharmed?

I couldn’t understand it.

In the King Ogre’s common sense, it was an impossible event.

No, not just the King Ogre, but even the Orcs and soldiers watching this situation were looking at this unrealistic scene in disbelief.

“Wasn’t he just hit?”

“How can he do that?”

“Is that even possible?”

How would they know?

This was the reason why people of the Jianghu called martial arts martial studies.

-Heaven-Raising Art of Thoughtful Emission

A glimpse of the pinnacle pursued by the ‘softness’ of martial studies, which means to control a thousand catties with the weight of four taels.

By applying this principle in reverse, it was also possible to change a thousand catties of force into that of four taels.

‘Well, even in Jianghu, the only ones besides me who could do this were a few elders from the Wudang Sect.’

Patrick still looked at the King Ogre with a smile.

And the King Ogre’s attitude changed.

-Krrrrr….

Its posture lowered, and its aura became more threatening.

There was no way a monster like the King Ogre, which lacked even a hint of intelligence, could understand the marvels of martial studies.

But even if it couldn’t understand, it could feel it.

That thing was dangerous.

It should not be treated as an ordinary being.

Inside the King Ogre’s mind, Patrick had been elevated from prey to an enemy.

From now on, it was not a hunt, but a battle.

Patrick, who grasped the situation, leisurely raised the corners of his mouth and said.

“Only now?”

-Krrrrr….

“The battle started long ago. You brat!”

And Patrick’s body shot forward again, and countless streams of sword Qi exploded all over the King Ogre’s body.

Krk-krk….

Krk-krk-krk….

The King Ogre’s red hide was blocking Patrick’s sword Qi without being cut.

But it was distinctly different from before.

Where the sword Qi touched the King Ogre’s hide, sparks flew as if steel was scraping against steel.

-Kwooooorrr!

A pain distinctly different from before.

The King Ogre was greatly flustered by this unpleasant sensation it was feeling for the first time in its life.

-Kaaarr!

Kahaang!

The King Ogre panicked as if it were being stung by a bee.

In truth, Patrick’s attacks were not a great threat to the King Ogre.

In human terms, it was about the pain of being scratched rather strongly by a needle.

It would cause some wounds, but it was an attack that could never be a fatal blow.

But the problem was that this was the first pain the King Ogre had ever experienced since it was born.

For the King Ogre, who was born so strong as to be called the king of a species and had never once experienced a crisis, the pain it was feeling now was beyond unpleasant; it was frightening.

The King Ogre, unable to understand what was happening to its own body, just struggled one-sidedly.

-Krrrung!

Kuo-oh-oh!

The King Ogre flailed its limbs wildly and struggled.

That chaotic rampage alone was devastating the surroundings, but even in that space of destruction, not a single hair on Patrick’s head was harmed.

‘If I were to be hit by such a haphazard attack, I would have died over a thousand times in my past life.’

It was just a struggle, hardly even an attack.

From Patrick’s perspective, if he were hit by this, he wouldn’t die from the pain but would have to die from embarrassment.

However, if there was a problem….

C-crack.

Creak.

“This damn body.”

It was the limit of his stamina and the durability of his body.

Right now, Patrick was using his full strength for the first time since being reborn.

As a result, his body was failing to keep up with the power Patrick was trying to exert.

Although he had grown better than his peers, it was still a strain on the body of a ten-year-old child.

Even with his body enhanced as much as possible with the internal energy gushing from his two Dantians and his blood vessels protected, his joints were twisting and his muscles were tearing.

His heart and lungs were constantly screaming, sending warnings to please stop.

But….

“Not yet.”

The moment he stopped his sword and feet now would be the moment of Patrick’s defeat.

Knowing that full well, how could he stop?

Of course, Patrick also knew that he couldn’t continue this reckless attack

But he wasn’t doing this without a plan.

‘I’ll let you off today. Get lost quickly!’

That monster had probably never met a being that pushed and tormented it like this since it was born.

Seeing its obvious panic, it was certain.

No matter how ferocious a wild beast is, when faced with an unknown fear, it is bound to run away first.

Patrick had now given up on catching the King Ogre and had diverted his course to repelling it.

He would repel the King Ogre here and look for the next opportunity.

If anyone who knew the man named Radiant Dragon Great Master Jin Cheon from his past life saw this, they would have been shocked, thinking, ‘Has he gone mad? Making a compromise with the world?’

But Patrick had no other choice.

To protect the fiefdom and the Orcs, this was the only existing solution.

Therefore….

“Until you retreat, I will never stop.”

A terrifying sword Qi erupted even more intensely from the swords held in Patrick’s hands.

And the countless trajectories of strikes drawn in the air.

That attack, which looked majestic to the onlookers, was overwhelming the King Ogre.

“Good heavens….”

“My goodness….”

Humans, Orcs, and even the Ogres were staring at the scene before them with their mouths agape.

A storm of strikes pouring down ceaselessly without a single second’s rest.

The King Ogre struggling in pain within that storm.

Where on earth could one witness such a scene?

“Is that, the Young Master’s true skill?”

“Just what star level is the Young Master? Could it be a 7-star?”

“No way. The Young Master is only ten… ten years old….”

The soldier who was speaking had to shut his mouth.

Yes.

Patrick was ten years old.

They had forgotten because he was monstrously strong and had a devilishly nasty temper, but he was just a ten-year-old child.

But… let’s be honest.

Where in the world is there a ten-year-old like that?

“He’s a real monster.”

Words that were extremely disrespectful to say to the young master of the fiefdom he lived in flowed from Oliver’s mouth.

But no one pointed out those disrespectful words.

Even Sanson was nodding faintly, agreeing with Oliver’s words.

He was pushing back a King Ogre, which could be classified as a living disaster.

A boy who was only ten years old.

Who would believe it?

The soldiers were trembling with emotion, as if a scene from a legend was being realized right before their eyes.

-Kwooooor!

Uooong!

The King Ogre’s roars began to be deeply tinged with pain.

And for good reason….

Looking at the current situation, it was a one-sided beating.

Of course, Patrick was clearly overexerting himself and was swinging his sword with difficulty amidst the excruciating pain of his whole body feeling like it was being torn apart, but the King Ogre had neither the experience nor the wisdom to perceive such a situation.

It just hurt.

It stung, it was sharp, and it was even hot.

But the small enemy inflicting this pain on it could not be hit, no matter how much it flailed its arms and legs.

Should it continue to fight?

Why?

Why should it fight an opponent it couldn’t win against?

The King Ogre, having never experienced a proper real battle, had a fighting spirit that was actually lower than that of ordinary Ogres.

It didn’t want this anymore.

It hurt too much.

The moment it realized there was nothing to be gained from continuing the battle but pain, the King Ogre’s anger and fighting spirit all died down.

All that remained was fear of the unknown being and a desperate desire to escape the current pain.

And that desperation….

-Krrrruuung!

Finally made the King Ogre retreat.

First, it took a step or two back, and then before long, the King Ogre turned around and started running.

Thump-thump-thump-thump-thump!

The moment he saw that, a loud roar erupted from Turanta’s mouth.

“The great warrior Patrick has defeated the King Ogre! Shout for victory!”

“Uwooooooooooh!”

“Woooooooooooh!”

The Orc warriors each planted their weapons in the ground, raised both fists high, and roared.

For Orcs, a roar while raising their weapon is a roar to show off their own victory.

Then what does it mean to raise a bare fist?

It is a tribute to the victory of a great being whom they can only respect and admire.

Right now, the Orcs of the Red Rock Tribe were acknowledging Patrick as a great warrior and paying tribute to him.

“So noisy…. Damn it, my reputation is in tatters.”

Patrick himself was displeased.

He wondered how strong a King Ogre could be, and it turned out to be more of a monster than he thought.

Its body was unbelievably tough, and its strength and speed were both beyond common sense.

However, it had a mental vulnerability, and he had only managed to make it retreat by attacking that part.

Repelling a disaster-class monster single-handedly was a great achievement in itself.

But for Patrick, who remembered his past self, it was just pitiful.

If he had just half of half of the martial prowess from his Radiant Dragon Great Master days, he would have sliced through a big, slow oaf like that in an instant….

“It can’t be helped. If I catch it again next time…. Huh? Uh-oh?”

Patrick’s eyes, which were momentarily filled with regret, widened.

The King Ogre, while retreating, stumbled slightly, then righted itself and started running sideways.

It still seemed to be running away, but the problem was the direction the King Ogre was fleeing.

Over there….

“Huh…? Uh-oh?”

“It’s coming. It’s coming this way!”

“Uwaaaaak!”

In the direction the King Ogre was fleeing, the soldiers who had been waiting after firing the flaming arrows were gathered.

“No, you son of a biiiiitch!”

Patrick’s body once again shot forward like a beam of light.

“Everyone, get out of the way!”

Sanson urgently commanded his subordinates.

Confront the King Ogre?

Even Sanson couldn’t entertain such a thought.

If he could save his subordinates by sacrificing his own life, he might honorably throw himself forward.

But no matter what he did, from the King Ogre’s perspective, it would just be the resistance of a worthless bug.

In the end, all Sanson could do was order his subordinates to flee.

But….

Thump-thump-thump-thump-thump!

The King Ogre was running much faster than the soldiers were fleeing.

‘We can’t escape.’

At this moment, Sanson despaired.

They couldn’t escape, and they couldn’t block it.

There was nothing they could do now.

Just as Sanson was thinking that….
