Beating Instances through Words Left by the Dead

Chapter 887: Chapter 380: Two Successful Ambushes (3)

The anomaly caused by the Gneral Chemical Factory is now shrouding all of Grimland, affecting both ordinary people and Transcendents, leaving them weakened.

This great stench must be related to their major actions. However, with the source of the stench found, the members of the Steam Council are nowhere to be seen. Where have they gone along with the missing Steam Explosives?

Located in the West District, Wu Chang’s true form disregarded the weak power of the native Knights and ordered them to disperse and search for traces of the Steam Council members.

Ensure that the Steam Council does not take advantage of the chaos to smuggle Steam Explosives into the West District and blow up the upper echelons of Stilan.

On the other side, he manipulated his True Self, continuing to handle the chemical factory incident.

The Steam Council only left two people in the chemical factory, making the problem much easier.

He had the Divine Tongue stay outside with the others to intercept any possible Transcendent escaping from the factory or temporarily halt the returning large number of Steam Council members, earning them time.

He selected only those with Grandmaster Level Fighting, Strength and Agility Dual Talents, and Killing Intent Fluctuation to infiltrate the factory with him and Ma Jia, to deal with the opponents.

Wu Chang and Killing Intent Fluctuation knocked out two big loading workers, changed into their clothes, and followed Ma Jia into the chemical factory.

Using the route Ma Jia had scouted earlier, they moved along the paths with fewer people and reached the Steam Explosive manufacturing workshop.

The Steam Root Power surrounding the Steam Explosive manufacturing workshop was even thicker than in the workshop where the Soul Weaving Machine was located.

Not only could Energy skills not be used, even Passive Skills unrelated to Steam Rules were beginning to be suppressed.

Killing Intent Fluctuation had a strong foundation, his Fighting ability remained unaffected, but Wu Chang’s Master Level Fighting, though not suppressed or downgraded, was reduced to Zhao Yan’s level.

However, the affected passives were only those outside the Steam Rules; his mastery of firearms and Master Level mechanical driving remained unaffected, and were even slightly enhanced.

The three climbed to the top floor of the workshop, following Ma Jia’s prior method, first locating the positions of the two Black Robe individuals.

Wu Chang and Killing Intent Fluctuation each chose one person, arrived directly above them, while Ma Jia went above the instrument making Steam Explosives.

After Wu Chang made a gesture for action, the three simultaneously broke through the floors below them, descending from the sky into the workshop.

The sudden appearance of the three was too unexpected, leaving the people in the workshop no time to react.

Killing Intent Fluctuation used the momentum of descent, to strike down with a diagonal leg at the last moment before landing, hitting a member of the Steam Council.

With the full strength of a Fighting Grandmaster in one leg, the Steam Council member who got kicked, aside from the skull, had nearly every bone in the upper body shattered, immediately collapsing to the ground and losing consciousness.

Such an injury, even after treatment, would still result in drooling.

On Wu Chang’s side, his Master Level Fighting being suppressed made him somewhat insecure about his control over Power. To ensure the Steam Council member lost mobility in one stroke and couldn’t detonate the Steam Explosive, he used the Mamba Iron Elbow to ensure a direct hit, putting all his strength into the elbow strike.

With a full effort of 339 points in Strength Attribute.

With one elbow hitting the target’s face, it produced the sound effect of a balloon exploding.

Bang!

In the crisp sound, the target’s head exploded into a cloud of blood mist.

Ma Jia, targeting the Extraordinary Steam Engine, facing only ordinary workers, didn’t need to push as hard as the other two; he only needed to rush to the worker before they reacted and knock them out with a hand chop.

In a brief moment, only three remained standing in the workshop.

Out of sight of the other two, Wu Chang took out the All-Knowing Crystal, and following its guidance, stopped the Extraordinary Steam Mechanism producing the Steam Explosives.

With the Extraordinary Steam Engine inside the workshop ceasing operation, the colorful Steam Root Power continuously discharged with waste liquid also abruptly stopped.

Condensed in the air, the pervasive great stench began to swiftly dilute, and the colors on the Hills River were being diluted and faded in the flowing water.

After eliminating the source of the great stench, Wu Chang, following the same method as before, found the core of the Extraordinary Steam Engine guided by the All-Knowing Crystal.

It was a precise mechanical cylinder as large as a human head, constantly rotating inside.

”Item Name: Extraordinary Fog Separation Device”

”Item Type: Special”

”Item Skill: Extraordinary Mistification.”

”Skill Description: Break Extraordinary Power into a fog form, separating it from impurities, and adsorb it onto special crystals, creating new-style Extraordinary explosives - Vaporized Explosive.”

”Item Skill: Extraordinary Separation” (Unlocked by King’s Badge)

”Skill Description: Extraordinary is hidden within Plane Rules, rotating the instrument can directly separate the Power of Rules in the air into Extraordinary Mist and Extraordinary Toxic Gas without requiring Extraordinary Items.”

”Note: If you ignore the expelled Extraordinary Toxic Gas, the Extraordinary Separation Device can be considered one of the greatest Extraordinary Steam Engines.”

Wu Chang and the team stored all the Vaporized Explosive in the workshop, verified with the All-Knowing Crystal that nothing was left behind, and then left the chemical factory with Ma Jia and Killing Intent Fluctuation.

He placed the Extraordinary Fog Separation Device in front of everyone, signaling each to take it once. Players who touched it all had a prompt appear before their eyes.

”You have obtained a pearl from the Industrial Crown.”

Seeing the main quest two of the S-Level instance completed so easily, excitement flashed in everyone’s eyes, unable to resist sighing at choosing the right side.

Peace is indeed the strongest monstrous new force in the Desolate Realm. Joining the faction he belongs to makes clearing the instance a non-problem.

As the True Self succeeded with this action, cutting off the source of the great stench, Wu Chang’s true form received information from Julie.

Almost simultaneously as the Extraordinary Steam Engine making Steam Explosives was stopped, the Steam Council members seized the moment when people were weakened by the stench to attack the Royal Light Weapons Factory.

They stole the Extraordinary Steam Engine named Demon-Breaking Steam Press, stored deep within the Light Weapons Factory.

The Secret Police’s Demon-Breaking Bullet, used against Transcendents, was created by that machine.

Wu Chang still remembers the Note’s evaluation of the Demon-Breaking Steam Press—this machine is the core of Stilan for subduing Transcendents.
