Beating Instances through Words Left by the Dead

Chapter 690: Chapter 315: Fate, Wondrous and Ineffable

The events that occurred in the Cursed Dungeon were all witnessed by Mavira and Grace, but in Amber’s world, they were just ordinary people, unable to exert any Power.

No matter how anxious they were, they could not provide direct and effective aid.

After some deliberation, they came to a conclusion: seek external help!

Although they were the designers of the Cursed Dungeon, they had no Power within it but could interfere with the Plane to a certain extent.

They connected Amber’s inner world with the Abyssal Game, allowing outsiders to enter the dungeon, attempting to use their Power to help Amber defeat the monster that incarnated from her heart’s loophole.

But what they didn’t expect was that the outsiders were so incompetent.

Batch after batch of outsiders entered the plane of the dungeon, not only failing to discover the deepest secrets of Amber’s plane, but also missing several special locations related to Amber.

It’s hard to tell if they were foolish or naive, as they believed that simply surviving a certain duration in the Cursed Dungeon and leaving meant clearing the dungeon.

Not only were they unable to help, but many outsiders died in the dungeon, and the dispersed Abyssal erosion caused the pollution level of the Cursed Dungeon to soar, making it near uncontrollable.

This situation, already grim, was made even worse.

Had they not opened the inner world, finally welcoming Wu Chang, Amber’s mind might have collapsed so swiftly, leading to their misjudgment weighing heavily on them.

As for why Amber’s age constantly changed, appearing as sixth-grade in Frank’s vengeful thoughts in the old school building, then as pre-enrollment in the near-collapse of Sigef City.

The answer is quite simple, the initial setting period of the inner world is Amber’s elementary school stage.

If Amber cannot overcome her heart’s loophole before graduating elementary school, her inner world will collapse and reshape, and she will return to the infancy state just entering elementary school, restarting a new cycle of filling the heart’s loophole.

Besides the memories stripped away by the faceless phantom in the old school building, Amber will remember the events of each cycle; she will just have a blurred concept of time and will not notice her age constantly cycling.

At first hearing, it seems like Amber can try again after failing in the inner world and retain her memories, almost as if she has a save-load ability, attempting repeatedly until success is achieved.

The problem lies in that each world’s reshaping essentially signifies one mental collapse for Amber.

Because of Mavira and Grace’s construct, Amber has the chance to retry, but every collapse exacerbates her heart’s loophole, decreasing her mental threshold.

The near-collapse of Sigef City is not a hidden space but Amber’s inner world, which is about to be reshaped after another collapse.

Therefore, the Amber appearing there reverts to a childhood state.

Within that space lacking extraneous Gods, and a world filled with cracks, signifies that Amber’s Will has reached its limit.

If Wu Chang was not included in this dungeon, with Lin Jiang and others’ preparation, they would probably have succeeded, making Amber completely collapse.

Wu Chang scrutinized the two Miracle Walkers in front of him; after losing the ability to fulfill others’ wishes, they seemed unreliable in whatever they did.

If Lin Jiang hadn’t led him to the Cursed Dungeon, Amber would likely have met an unfortunate fate.

However, with his arrival, Sigef City became peaceful.

In Mavira’s description, aside from Amber’s past experiences, one more thing caught his attention.

Mavira and Grace mentioned that Amber’s inner world is not a simple dreamscape but a real world fabricated based on her memories and dreams.

The ability to turn Amber’s dream into reality is partially due to Gaia Divinity, but for the most part, it’s reliant on a particular higher form of energy.

This energy can make the Cursed Dungeon infinitely approach realism, perfectly mending Amber’s heart’s loophole, and in the process of mending, fully activate Amber’s Gaia Divinity, enabling her to integrate the derived real world into her Authority upon waking.

This powerful Power reminded Wu Chang of something he was also seeking.

He tentatively asked, ”The energy you used to construct Amber’s inner world, could it be the Primordial Spirit Core?”

Before Mavira could respond, Grace, who had been clinging to him, replied without any guard:

”We prefer to call it the Creator’s Legacy, but your term isn’t wrong either. It’s surprising that with your current Life level, you know about such a level of Energy. You truly are the man I’ve chosen.”

Wu Chang recalled the All-Knowing Crystal’s drooling reaction and also what Hou Jingchuan said: every Player who managed to leave the Cursed Dungeon alive received great rewards.

Especially Sword Star, passing through the Cursed Dungeon would even bring his Sword Dao insight to early fruition, acquiring legacies only reachable in the Realm of Reason in advance.

The benefits those leaving Players obtained, could it be due to the breath of the Primordial Spirit Core?

He asked in a hoarse voice, ”Where did you collect so much Primordial Spirit Core?”

Grace nonchalantly said:

”Of course, it’s from the Desolate Realm; the low-tiered intelligent Lifeforms there can’t even perceive what the Primordial Spirit Core is. Even if placed in front of them, they wouldn’t recognize it.”

”Due to our tribe’s characteristics, it’s easy to acquire followers and let them assist us. We can purchase a considerable amount of the Primordial Spirit Core at the price of reclaimed trash.”

”The Energy we collected was all invested in this Plane, in terms of contribution towards Amber, you cannot surpass us.”

Wu Chang thought of something, staring blankly at Grace and Mavira, he asked:
