Beating Instances through Words Left by the Dead

Chapter 689: Chapter 314: Gaia Divinity_3

During the time when the battle broke out, chaos consumed the middle layer and the Realm of Reason, spilling into the secret research institute, where many prepared experimental subjects took the opportunity to escape.

Among them was Amber.

Unlike the other escaped experiments, Amber’s existence was exceptionally valuable. The imaginary divine format within her, named Gaia, was the Earth Goddess and the Mother of the Gods.

To nurture her to maturity, the Bright Society spared no effort, using several already mature divinities as stepping stones. Every resource at the secret research institute she was in was dedicated solely to her.

This allowed the Bright Society to disregard the other escaped experimental subjects, as long as they could recapture Amber.

With a mature Gaia Divinity inside her, Amber might rely on her abilities to escape from regular Abyss Second Layer players, but she was no match for Bright Society players who possessed divinity.

The Bright Society soon tracked her down, and just when she was at her wit’s end, she encountered a Miracle Walker.

The Miracle Walker was willing to help her out of her predicament and even offer Amber the power strong enough for revenge, but in return, they had only one demand.

Their demand, much like what they once proposed to Wu Chang, was to merge with the Miracle Walker, leading the clan to a new life.

Wu Chang couldn’t help but frown at this point and asked, ”Is there a way to undo your fusion?”

Mavira responded calmly, ”No. I know what you’re thinking, Mr. Sean. Our situation with Amber is different from the one we had with you.”

”We and Amber need each other. We need a powerful vessel to resurrect the Miracle Walker clan and bring us back to the world where we once existed. And she needs us for freedom and the power for revenge.”

”We respect her wishes and will give everything for her; we are equals.”

Wu Chang felt his next question might be impolite, but he still asked, ”Then why did you attack me when dealing with me?”

Mavira: ”Because according to our assessment, providing your abilities to Amber would greatly help in resolving her predicament. For her sake, we had no choice but to target you.”

Wu Chang curled his lip; well, indeed, the answer was rather impolite.

That is to say, from the very beginning, the Miracle Walkers never regarded him as equal or having a choice.

Speaking of their dedication to Amber, Mavira continued discussing Amber’s situation.

Since the Bright Society needed the Divine Seed, they only cared about whether it could mature and not the life or death of the experimental subjects.

Regardless of the experimental subject’s status, when it was time to reap the benefits, they would die anyway.

As they didn’t care about the experimental subjects, they would use any means, however brutal or cruel, to accelerate the fusion between the subject and the Imaginary Divinity, without hesitation, even excessively.

This cultivation method, more severe than breeding venomous creatures, made Amber’s combat strength extremely formidable, but the price was that her heart was riddled with wounds and filled with countless gaps.

If these gaps were not filled, as Amber grew stronger, she would not be able to resist the erosion of the Abyss aura, eventually leading to a collapse of her will, plunging her into madness.

To mend Amber’s mental gaps, the Miracle Walkers expended significant effort to forge the current Dream World for her.

The Sigef City in the Dream World was modeled on the city where Amber once lived.

When Amber was taken by the Bright Society, she was just about to enter primary school, at a time when she had a happy family and a great longing to attend school.

For this reason, the Miracle Walkers used Nokes Primary School and 26 Garden Street as symbols of Amber’s mental gaps, hoping to heal the psychological trauma she suffered at the secret research institute with the life she once yearned for.

According to the Miracle Walkers’ plan, Amber would live a second life in Sigef City, becoming someone protected by all, with everyone harboring kindness toward her, allowing her to experience a complete and beautiful childhood.

A wonderful childhood would subtly mend her mental gaps while fusing with her Gaia Divinity in this fictional world, granting her Authority and infinite possibilities beyond it.

The plan was beautiful, but the Miracle Walkers underestimated the importance of Gaia’s Divine Seed to the Bright Society.

In the Gaia Divine Seed’s incubation process, the Bright Society used several mature divinities as nutrients. These mature divinities not only sped up the maturation but also planted hidden traps within the Gaia Divinity.

Feeling the formation of Amber’s inner world and the Gaia Divinity about to break free from control, the Bright Society detonated the hidden traps to prevent it.

This move completely wrested the plot from the Miracle Walkers’ control.

To create a true world, the Miracle Walkers employed a unique power, capable not only of repairing mere mental gaps but also of restoring entire dead worlds.

Such immense power caused Amber’s inner world to form with its own rules once established, leaving them unable to intervene and subject to the world’s rules.

In the inner world, Amber was an ordinary person, and merging with Amber meant the Miracle Walkers could not exert their power either.

They could only watch helplessly as the hidden traps detonated, turning the warm and harmonious inner world into one cursed with misfortune.

Originally, by enjoying a beautiful childhood, the mental gaps could be healed. However, it now required confronting the creatures into which these gaps had transformed to heal them.

The runaway mental gap creatures completely ruined Amber’s life, causing her to be shuffled through over a dozen foster homes. Every time her life seemed to improve, it would be utterly destroyed by misfortune.

As her mental gaps were patched over and over again, Amber’s condition worsened rather than improved.

If this continued, Amber’s will would eventually collapse. Once it did, she would lose control of her Gaia Divinity, allowing the Bright Society to trace the Gaia Divinity via the hidden traps they planted.
