Beating Instances through Words Left by the Dead

Chapter 517: Chapter 257: Virtual Reality Interactor

Before leaving the Settlement Space, Wu Chang inserted the Erosion Core from the Hymn Company Dungeon into the Mortal Poison.

Clearing an A-Level Dungeon, Energy Value +1.5, A-Level Dungeon Erosion Core, Energy Value +4.

The second draw of the Mortal Poison brings the accumulated energy to 9.5/50.

He fiddled with the Mortal Poison in his hand. So far, he hadn’t discovered the real purpose of the Erosion Core. Whether it was the Management Bureau or the player forum, there wasn’t even any relevant information available, let alone those four words.

Erin couldn’t absorb the Erosion Core; he had just tried, and the All-Knowing Crystal didn’t react when it touched the Erosion Core.

Maybe there will be answers on the Abyss Second Layer.

Wu Chang returned to the Crimson Courtyard and went to the leaderboard area, where he saw at a glance that he had broken the breakthrough record for the A-Level Dungeon once again.

When the system asked if he wanted to display his nickname, he chose to decline since the advertising fee is settled according to the leaderboard, and he hadn’t received the naming fee for the top of the A-Level Dungeon breakthrough yet.

In fact, during the Silent Route Dungeon, he should have already broken the A-Level Dungeon breakthrough record, but he was delayed a bit due to the Evil God’s remnants and reincarnation.

When he exited the dungeon, he found that the breakthrough record had been snatched by Sword Star.

Sword Star relied on following behind him, gaining a lot of basic dungeon exploration, combined with the 25% dungeon exploration reward from winning the multiplayer confrontation mode, making his dungeon rating reach A, just meeting the minimum requirements for a dungeon breakthrough.

Because of this, the bureau recently made a special commendation for Sword Star.

It’s important to know that on the difficulty leaderboard, Silent Route surpasses Hymn Company, ranking in the top three of A-Level Dungeon difficulty leaderboard.

It was heard that later the Management Bureau contacted Sword Star, wanting Sword Star to hold a lecture and write some reports to summarize advanced strategy experiences for other members of the organization to learn.

However, neither Sword Star nor Negotiation Master understood how they had broken through the dungeon. After a review, it was found that the dungeon’s natives showed their might, leading a group of players to lie down and break through the dungeon.

Once this conclusion was reached, it immediately caught the attention of all parties, but after summarizing a lot of information, all parties concluded that Sword Star and others encountered a coincidence.

But luck is also a part of strength. Sword Star’s good fortune made his top position even more dramatic, becoming the second most popular topic of the past half-month.

But today, this topic will end.

This time, Wu Chang made Booker and others exit early using the premature exit item. Although the dungeon settled normally, it wasn’t considered a dungeon clearance, so it naturally didn’t involve a dungeon breakthrough.

Additionally, Wu Chang was not familiar with the others and had no intention of having them benefit from his exploration, so Booker and the others had a low basic dungeon completion rate.

Wu Chang became the only Breaker of the Hymn Company, not only refreshing Sword Star’s record but also reducing the time to half of Sword Star’s clearance time.

Regarding dungeon clearance time, Wu Chang once had questions. With different difficulties, different time flows, and different mission requirements across dungeons, how were the players’ clearance results compared on the same leaderboard?

For example, some dungeons require survival for three days, others for thirty days, and some have no time limits, completing the mainline immediately upon return. All of these dungeons have no fixed time flow. So what’s the evaluation standard of the Abyssal Game?

After becoming an Explorer, he consulted Management Bureau’s related materials. This kind of information is not related to benefits or secrets; it’s just basic mechanics, so it’s very easy to obtain.

Simply put, the standard for breakthrough time in the Abyssal Game is not based on fixed time flow proportion, but rather a relative proportion.

The Abyssal Game collects related data of all players entering the dungeon and derived projection dungeons, collecting their survival time, clearance time, death time, etc., and then combines it with their dungeon completion rate at those times to perform comprehensive calculations.

For example, Player A dies within 4 days in the dungeon, with a dungeon completion rate of 10% at the time of death;

Player B successfully survives for 20 days, leaves the dungeon, with a dungeon completion rate of 30%.

Player C successfully clears the dungeon in 30 days, with a completion rate of 45%.

Based on these numbers, the Abyssal Game will calculate a standard clearance time, and by setting all standard clearance times to a single value, time comparisons between dungeons can be derived.

Based on the actual clearance time of players and the time ratio of the dungeon, the leaderboard display time is determined.

Wu Chang hasn’t delved into the specific algorithm due to the numerous variables; he only needed to know that the Abyssal Game could calculate it, and that being on the top of the leaderboard was sufficient for him.

The replacement of the A-Level Dungeon breakthrough leaderboard quickly drew the attention of players from the Desolate Realm. Seeing the familiar hidden identity, it wasn’t hard to guess who it was.

On the square, the atmosphere among the players became instantly lively. Just as the Four Major Organizations had declared war on the mysterious newcomer, the mysterious newcomer immediately refreshed the breakthrough leaderboard.

This was a blatant slap to the face of the Four Major Organizations!

Fight, fight!

At this moment, Booker and others probably haven’t finished reporting what happened inside the dungeon. The insider groups haven’t mobilized, and Wu Chang’s actions inside the dungeon have not yet spread.

This made ordinary players think there would be a big commotion, but little did they know the matter was destined to end with the Four Major Organizations playing dead.

Wu Chang shook his head, passed through the public zone, and left the Crimson Courtyard.

When he opened his eyes, he was already back at his home in the Inner World. Just as he pushed open the door, he heard a voice, tinged with sobs and mixed with slight sniffles, say:
