Beating Instances through Words Left by the Dead

Chapter 511: Chapter 255: Survivor’s Revenge

The reporters were trying to watch the giant figure in black and white, observed their colleagues flying in place, listened to Wu Chang speaking all along, and kept an eye on the large screen.

Damn, I’m running out of eyes.

It wasn’t just the eyes; the brain was overwhelmed too. An influx of information surged in, as if everyone’s CPU was about to burn out.

Wu Chang continued:

”The less you know about this matter, the more it means you’re being protected because from the very beginning, we’ve been marked. Once our world, our civilization advances to a certain level, it will attract aliens, who will come to harvest all our achievements.”

This statement wasn’t a lie, as the replica plane had long been targeted by the Abyssal Game. In a strict sense, the descended players were indeed aliens.

”To deal with the impending disaster, to develop quickly and receive various supports, we cooperated with the Federation and did many disgraceful things. For this, I can apologize, but I won’t regret it, nor will I stop.”

Wu Chang looked around at the media people, who were stunned like wooden chickens, and said with a smile:

”To be honest, there was no need to inform you or the general public about this intelligence. Telling you is not about showing the greatness of Hymn Company or demonstrating heroic solo acts to save the world.”

”It’s so that everyone knows that for our civilization to reach this point today, the truly great ones are humans themselves, rather than any other being.”

With that, Wu Chang finished speaking, turned around, and left without waiting for anyone to react.

He left the silent conference hall to the bewildered media people and the equally confused Minister of the News Department.

The News Department Minister, Liam Liu, looked at Wu Chang’s departing back, on the verge of tears, thinking, Chairman, this segment wasn’t part of the pre-prepared conference agenda.

You delivered your pompous speech and left, what am I supposed to do now!

Wu Chang left the venue, stared at the huge Hymn Company logo in the first-floor lobby, and sighed.

Schultz’s Blood-Colored Will was too grim; he temporarily couldn’t handle it, but he could still fulfill a part of the small wish ahead of time.

It was foreseeable that once the intelligence that the gods people worshiped were aliens spread out, the world would certainly explode.

No matter what religion the believers follow, they would probably regard Hymn Company as heretics, especially the devoted fanatics, who might even initiate some extreme actions against Hymn Company.

But it didn’t matter; he used to be the manager of the fully automated defense system department, and he knew that the defense system wouldn’t hold back when dealing with rioters.

If the world’s fanatics couldn’t be wiped out no matter what, and they had to have a god to pin their faith on to survive, he wouldn’t mind bringing Erin over to harvest the faith of this plane.

The press conference just now didn’t just satisfy Schulz’s unfinished wish but also served as a conclusion to everything tonight.

This is his private space, and with Hymn Company now in his hands, he naturally had to ensure that everything could land smoothly.

Painting a concept of aliens as humanity’s enemy could gain the righteous name of protecting humanity, justifying many of Hymn Company’s past deeds, while attributing the wealthy individuals killed by Schultz tonight to aliens.

Eighty percent of the replica plane’s media was controlled by the Federation, with the most mainstream media outlets in the Federation having Hymn Company in the background.

He just needed to throw out a self-consistent narrative; whether they believed it or not, the choice wasn’t up to these plane natives.

Do you understand what journalism means?

While the company’s internal focus was on the press conference, Wu Chang’s true self changed clothes, took a car, and left the company, heading to the small river outside Donau Street.

Where Raymond and Mo Ke used to rendezvous, his True Self and Raymond were waiting here.

Wu Chang pretended not to know his True Self, and the two briefly exchanged a few words before Wu Chang passed a piece of intelligence to Raymond, saying, ”See for yourself.”

Before Wu Chang arrived, his True Self had already laid a lot of groundwork for Raymond, portraying himself as a ”justice fighter among aliens” against dimensional invasion.

The True Self had turned into the Sea Giant before Raymond, who also saw Booker and others vanish into light from up close. Along with the extraordinary powers many were using recently, something ordinary humans couldn’t gain through Spiritual Ability Activation Surgery.

These factors combined made Raymond accept the alien theory very smoothly.

Raymond quickly browsed through the data on his phone, his expression turning uglier by the minute.

The information contained a lot, including but not limited to the fact that the mastermind behind the Sid massacre years ago was actually a conspiracy involving the Federal military, Central Intelligence Agency, Federal Bureau of Investigation, and the Speaker of the Federal House of Representatives.

The Federal Bureau of Investigation was responsible for setting the stage, the military stimulated the Disqualified Monsters and acted, the Central Intelligence Agency took the opportunity to resolve stubborn elements along with Sid Town’s original inhabitants.

The real estate company owned by the Speaker’s husband was responsible for acquiring the affected properties at a low cost, transforming the original scenic town into a luxurious resort.

Many orphans, including Raymond, were sent to orphanages where they would learn about the Sid massacre through various channels and vowed revenge.

Some of them, like Raymond, stood out, with a belief in revenge surpassing everything else, willing to put in great effort for it. At that time, the Central Intelligence Agency would approach them, offering a chance and promising that if they worked hard enough, the agency would help them uncover the truth from back then.
