The Fierce Farm Girl Has A Secret Space

Chapter 2646: Chapter 2646: Have You Fallen for Her? (6)

Wanyan Ningzi took off the cloak she was wearing on the outside, and the entire great hall instantly buzzed with murmurs.

Because under Wanyan Ningzi’s cloak she was wearing a dance costume: a close-fitting red short top that bared her midriff, and low-waisted, tight red flared pants.

Yang Ruxin couldn’t help letting out a whistle. Don’t be fooled by how young this girl is—her figure is really something. Those two huge breasts looked like they were about to burst through that little top, and since it was low-cut as well, a deep cleavage was on full display. Anyone with a bit less self-control would probably get a nosebleed.

Further down was a tender, pale, slender waist, wrapped with a silver chain, on which a few Silver Bells were tied, chiming softly.

Princess Ningzi also took off her shoes, then stood barefoot on the carpet, her little white feet bare, silver bells fastened around her ankles as well.

The whole getup was just too visually impactful.

The men present wanted to look but felt embarrassed, didn’t want to look yet couldn’t help themselves, while many of the women’s faces flushed red.

So Princess Ningzi might look gentle and demure, but in truth she was the unrestrained type.

As the accompanying drumbeats started, Wanyan Ningzi began dancing, striking all sorts of curvy poses, which confirmed Yang Ruxin’s guess: the choreography was modeled after the flying apsaras in the Dunhuang murals. What drew exclamations of praise was that this princess could actually play the pipa behind her back.

Everyone watched, utterly entranced, but for Yang Ruxin it was just so-so; it was much more interesting to watch those Princes instead.

The Crown Prince was the only one whose expression didn’t change; the Han Prince’s eyes did light up, but then he returned to normal. Prince Xuan looked excited, but it was easy to see there wasn’t that kind of male desire for a woman in it. Qi Jingyi was watching with great interest but not the least bit aroused, while Qi Jingrong was being clung to by that prospective princess consort of his and probably hadn’t appreciated the performance properly at all.

There was also the Yun Prince, and because he was sitting to one side of her, he could only turn his head to watch.

Qi Jingyun happened to turn his head at the same moment, and their eyes met.

Yang Ruxin suddenly grinned. ”Yun Prince, have you fallen for this princess yet?”

Qi Jingyun raised his brows slightly. ”Do you want me to fall for her?”

Yang Ruxin shrugged. ”Suit yourself.” That was something she couldn’t control anyway.

Qi Jingyun let out a soft sigh and muttered something under his breath.

Yang Ruxin had good hearing; even though she didn’t want to, she still caught it. What Qi Jingyun said was, ”In this life I’ll only fall for someone once; everything else is just making do.”

To that, she could only play dumb and pretend she hadn’t heard.

When Princess Wanyan Ningzi finished her dance, she immediately won thunderous applause—and of course also earned a collective round of eye-rolling from the madams with Imperial Edict.

But Wanyan Liang once again brought up the matter of a marriage alliance.

”Crown Prince Wanyan, there’s no rush for that. This year you’ll be staying here for the New Year, so enjoy yourselves properly. It’ll also give everyone a chance for more contact before we talk about it again,” Emperor Xuanjing waved his hand. ”What do you think?”

What else could Wanyan Liang say? He could only agree.

The rest of the banquet passed without incident; after everyone had eaten and drunk their fill, they gradually took their leave.

Consort Shu sent her trusted Maid to the General Residence to fetch the Medicine Pill. In fact, she’d wanted to buy two, but Yang Ruxin said there was only one, and she could only give up.

After the Longevity Festival, the New Year atmosphere grew stronger. Yang Ruxin began busying herself with preparing New Year’s goods, while the various Princes threw themselves into a new round of eating, drinking, and playing accompaniment. This time, however, the one they were accompanying was Wanyan Ningzi, and among her entourage there was now an extra Xu Huairui.
