The Fierce Farm Girl Has A Secret Space

Chapter 2639: Chapter 2639: A Surplus Word (7)

”I have been close friends with Yan Yuyu for over ten years, if you don’t mind, you can call me sister.” Lin Manyi poured a cup of tea and handed it to Yang Ruxin.

”Sister Lin.” Yang Ruxin took the tea, naturally changing her tone.

Lin Manyi was pleased, and pushed a plate of plum blossom cakes, just delivered by a servant, towards her: ”Are you planning to spend New Year here this year?”

Yang Ruxin nodded: ”Yes, since all the family is here, we’ll spend New Year with my husband here before going back, right in time for spring farming.”

”I know your younger siblings have started their studies, have you thought about letting them attend school for a few months?”

Yang Ruxin smiled: ”I’ve thought about it, but it’s only a couple of months, I don’t want the hassle.” More importantly, now Shu Xing spends four hours every day teaching the younger ones, and Gu Qingheng teaches them when he has time, while Gu Di and others take turns teaching them martial arts and hidden weapons, so even though they left school, their learning hasn’t stopped.”

”Why would it be a hassle?” Lin Manyi smiled, ”The National Academy’s tough, but some families have clan schools that can teach introductory courses.” The four Dukes jointly run a private school where the family’s children are enlightened.

”Thank you, Sister Lin, to be honest, my grandfather now spends four hours every day teaching them. I think the school teachers might not even have my grandfather’s vast knowledge.”

”Grandfather?”

Yang Ruxin nodded but did not elaborate.

Lin Manyi saw she didn’t want to say more, so didn’t ask, though she was curious about who Yang Ruxin’s grandfather might be.

At this moment, Yan Yuyu brought Meng Shuang over.

Yang Ruxin’s eyes narrowed slightly, she knew Meng Shuang and naturally knew why she was here.

”Madam Ruyi.” Meng Shuang arrived in front of Yang Ruxin, curtsying.

”Madam Xu.” Yang Ruxin nodded slightly.

”I am here to apologize on behalf of my rebellious daughter.” Meng Shuang took a deep breath, ”That daughter of mine is spoiled.”

”Madam Xu, you exaggerate.” Yang Ruxin smiled, ”She didn’t harm me but injured my coachman, if there’s an apology due, it should be directed towards my coachman.”

Meng Shuang was momentarily stunned.

”In your daughter’s eyes, servants may not count as people, but in my eyes, they’re simply the brothers and sisters doing work for me, their lives are just as important as ours.” Yang Ruxin looked at her with a faint smile, ”If there’s truly to be reconciliation, then let your daughter apologize to my coachman. If my coachman forgives her, then this incident can be forgotten. Otherwise...” she said, her face turning stern, ”I’m the kind of person who holds grudges, to add another point, can Madam Xu truly do everything on behalf of your daughter?”

Meng Shuang’s face stiffened slightly.

Even Yan Yuyu and Lin Manyi were somewhat surprised, thinking that Meng Shuang’s amiable attitude would mean Yang Ruxin would show some courtesy, but Yang Ruxin unexpectedly didn’t give Meng Shuang any face.

Meng Shuang was stunned for a moment but quickly resumed her normal expression, nodding earnestly: ”Madam Ruyi is right.”

”If madam can personally instill values in your daughter, I believe she will become a leader among noble ladies.”

”I will.” Meng Shuang indeed felt uncomfortable, being lectured by a villager younger than herself wasn’t pleasant, but for now, she had to endure it, there would be opportunities for revenge in the future.
