The Fierce Farm Girl Has A Secret Space

Chapter 2644: Chapter 2644: Nuanxiang (4)

”Can this fragrance also cure diseases?” Xu Huairui raised an eyebrow.

”Of course, everything Xinxin creates can cure diseases. For example, the medicinal wine and tea, and now these medicinal fragrances she just mixed up. However, she said she’s only made two scents for now. This one is Nuanxiang, suitable for wearing in winter to ward off cold. The other is Cold Fragrance, which she says can help avoid heat and repel insects in summer.”

”Is it really that magical?” Xu Huairui’s eyes widened in surprise.

”Yes.” Jiang Fangfei nodded, ”You have a good relationship with Xinxin now, you can ask her for some too. These are much better than those incense sachets; the key is their longevity. I’ve been wearing this for three days, and the scent is still so rich.”

”Alright, I’ll go ask her.” Xu Huairui said as she got up and ran over to Yang Ruxin’s side, ”Sister Xin.”

Yang Ruxin nodded, ”What’s up?”

”The Princess of Pingning’s medicinal fragrance is so unique, I want some too.” Xu Huairui had grown closer to Yang Ruxin in these past days and had lost her previous cautiousness, even speaking with a tone of habitual arrogance.

”Well...”

”What fragrance?” The Consort couldn’t help but ask.

”I was just dabbling during idle times, trying out spices from the medicinal book my master gave me. I’m just starting to explore, and it’s not very refined yet.”

”Sister Xin, we’re so close now; why are you still being stingy?” Xu Huairui’s tone carried a hint of dissatisfaction.

Yang Ruxin seemed not to notice, ”It’s not that I’m stingy; it’s just that little Nuanxiang was made, and it still needs further refinement.”

”I want it too, you can give it to me once you’ve improved it.”

The Empress Dowager sitting in the higher seat couldn’t help but frown.

”Well...” Yang Ruxin hesitated for a moment, ”Alright.” She said, taking out a small box from her bag, ”I’m only just learning about making fragrances, if Huairui doesn’t mind, take it and enjoy.”

Xu Huairui eagerly accepted the box. Upon opening it, a unique scent wafted out, much better than the plum blossom fragrance she wore. She then put it into her pouch and looked triumphantly at Jiang Fangfei.

Qi Zizi pursed her lips, while Jiang Fangfei merely smiled a bit.

At this point, the Emperor arrived. Despite it being his birthday, he had to come to bow to the Empress Dowager, thanking her for his upbringing. He then accepted the well-wishes of his wives and took their prepared gifts.

After turning things over for an hour, they finally headed to the Jinluan Hall.

The Jinluan Hall had been lavishly decorated. The Emperor waited devotedly in the back hall. Upon seeing the Empress Dowager and his wives arriving, he entered the hall together with them.

Yang Ruxin followed them into the hall, at this point, the Imperial Edict’s holders were just arriving.

This showcased the difference between those who needed and those who didn’t need palace checks, which could take an hour longer.

Gu Qingheng and Gu Yao were unable to join the seats; they needed to patrol to ensure safety, so Yang Ruxin sat at a table with Erni.

Yang Ruxin watched as people entered one after another, her eyes becoming intrigued. She unexpectedly saw old acquaintances: Consort Peng Jing of King Han and Consort Shen Yizhen of King Rong. But these old acquaintances seemed not to be doing well.

These two girls were once delicate flowers, but now they seemed drained of vitality, and no amount of white powder could hide their tired eyes.
