The Fierce Farm Girl Has A Secret Space

Chapter 1137: Chapter 1137: Give You a Discount (8)

Yang Ruxin furrowed her brow as soon as she heard the voice.

Yu Qingge leaned in close to Yang Ruxin’s ear, ”Dani, what a rustic name.”

Yang Ruxin gave her a wry look, then turned back, smiling at the newcomer, ”So it’s Tian Family’s cousin-in-law.”

”Just now, I thought I had made a mistake,” Tian Geng laughed heartily, ”but it really is you! What brings you here? How are your mother and Xiaofeng?”

”They are at home. A friend opened a shop and today is the soft opening, so I came to have a look...” Yang Ruxin smiled, ”Cousin-in-law, see if there’s anything you need. I can ask my friend to give you a discount...” She didn’t believe she had encountered him by chance at all; he probably had his eye on her for a while and was looking for an opportunity to ingratiate himself. However, she wasn’t about to admit the shop was hers.

”It’s your friend’s shop?” Tian Geng’s eyes showed a trace of confusion.

”Qingge.” Yang Ruxin pointed to Yu Qingge, ”The county magistrate’s daughter-in-law.”

Tian Geng quickly put on a respectful expression.

”Oh, the sister-in-law’s cousin,” Yu Qingge immediately got into the swing of things, ”whatever you need, I will give you a discount... Don’t be shy, Qian Er, hurry and take care of this...”

”My mother’s birthday is in a few days, and I came to pick out a gift for her...”

Qian Er promptly welcomed him, ”Please come this way, my lord. Everything here is from Beijing; absolutely exclusive in our county town. This batch mainly consists of glazed goods, and there is surely not a second shop in town with such... Look at this glazed mirror, it’s much clearer than a bronze one...”

”Alright, I’ll take a glazed mirror,” Tian Geng chose a mirror with the image of the longevity god on its back.

”The selling price for this is five silver, but since we are relatives, let’s make it four,” Qian Er said with a beaming smile.

Tian Geng’s mouth twitched slightly. Four silver? That’s expensive?

”These glazes are tribute items; only those with connections could get their hands on these small glazed products...” Seeing Tian Geng hesitate, Qian Er quickly added, ”If it weren’t for the fact that this shop has shares owned by Prince Ba, we wouldn’t have access to such items...”

Just then, someone else bought two glazed mirrors and paid the bill, five silver each. With that, Tian Geng could no longer hesitate and hastily paid four silver for his purchase.

”Thank you, my lord, for your patronage...” Qian Er’s shout was loud, ”We look forward to your next visit...”

Only after Tian Geng stepped out of the shop did he realize he hadn’t come to buy anything; he had come to invite Yang Ruxin. He hurriedly returned to the shop, but Yang Ruxin was nowhere to be found. Frowning, he stopped Qian Er, ”Where’s Yang Dani?”

”Yang Dani?” Qian Er frowned, ”We don’t have anyone by that name here.”

”That’s right, Yang Ruxin, the one who was talking with your boss...”

”Don’t know,” Qian Er shook his head. ”Haven’t seen her...” Just then, a customer entered, and Qian Er quickly went to greet them, ”Welcome, feel free to browse...”

Tian Geng’s frown deepened, and he walked straight toward the back.

”My lord, the merchandise is that way,” Hu Zi blocked Tian Geng’s path, ”The back is for private use...”

”I’m looking for Yang Ruxin.”

”Sorry, the young lady has already left; she’s not in the back,” Hu Zi chuckled mischievously, ”My lord, if you’re not buying anything, the exit is that way...”

Tian Geng could only stomp his foot in frustration before turning around and leaving the shop.
