The Fierce Farm Girl Has A Secret Space

Chapter 1117: Chapter 1117: Not Going to Die (3)

In the wing-room of the back courtyard.

Dao Xuzi had applied medicine and bandaged Dou Xuemei’s wounds, and the bleeding had already stopped. Seeing Yang Ruxin enter, he couldn’t help but purse his lips, ”Don’t worry, this person won’t die.”

”I know she won’t die,” Yang Ruxin nodded, ”And she herself wouldn’t want to die either. However, I’d like to know when she might wake up?”

”How would I know?” Dao Xuzi gave Yang Ruxin a look, ”If someone wants to sleep, can I control that?”

Yang Ruxin snickered, ”Thank you for your hard work, Master.” Then she turned to Lin Xiwang, who had been following Dao Xuzi around doing odd jobs, ”Don’t forget to give Master a leg massage and a shoulder knead when he’s free...”

”Don’t worry, Sister Xin,” Lin Xiwang giggled.

Dao Xuzi glanced at Yang Ruxin again and then ambled away with his hands behind his back.

Only then did Yang Ruxin turn to Mei Ping, ”Are you her personal maid?”

Mei Ping nodded eagerly, ”This servant Mei Ping, is the young miss’s maid.”

”Now that your young miss is injured, are you planning to leave or stay here to recover?” Yang Ruxin asked with a slight raise of her eyebrows.

Mei Ping looked up, surprised. Why would Miss Yang ask such a question?

”If you stay here to recover, then the cost of medicine, food, and lodging will all be on you,” Yang Ruxin said with a smile. ”Seeing as we’re relatives, I won’t ask for much, one silver piece per person per day. As for the medicine, my master is none other than the famous Divine Doctor; we won’t ask for much either, just a hundred silver pieces will do. You can decide whether to pay now or...”

Upon hearing this, Mei Ping immediately grimaced. Where would she find so much silver? And even if she had it, she wouldn’t dare to take it out. Yet they couldn’t leave either, for where would they go after leaving? If something happened to her young miss, her own family wouldn’t be able to live with themselves: ”Miss Yang, as you see, my young miss got injured while trying to save you...”

”Did I ask her to save me?” Yang Ruxin looked at Mei Ping with amusement, ”And wasn’t it you who brought Chai Huan with you? If we really want to get into it, couldn’t I report you to the officials? Weren’t you here to scheme for wealth and take lives?”

”No, the servant didn’t mean that.” Hearing this, Mei Ping quickly apologized in fright, ”The servant meant, could we perhaps wait for the young miss to wake up before deciding? I really can’t...” she said, then knelt down with a thud, ”Miss Yang, I beg for your mercy...”

”Is that so...” Yang Ruxin stroked her chin, ”Since you’ve said as much, it would be unkind of me to turn you away now. Very well, I’ll put it on the tab for now. We’ll discuss it when your young miss wakes up. Remember, if you try to default on the payment later, I will go to the Dou Family to collect...”

”Yes.” Mei Ping breathed a sigh of relief for the moment.

Yang Ruxin glanced at Dou Xuemei, who was lying on the bed, the corners of her mouth curling slightly, and then she turned and left.

Meanwhile, Dou Xuemei, who had been keeping her eyes closed, clenched the hand under the blanket. This Yang Ruxin truly could not be dealt with using common sense. So, what should she do? She couldn’t keep feigning unconsciousness forever, could she?

But if she were to wake up, what then? She really hadn’t thought it through, so she might as well just keep feigning for the time being.

Sanni stood in the courtyard, and when she saw Yang Ruxin come out, she hurried forward, ”Big sister, hasn’t she woken up?”

”If she wants to faint, let her faint,” Yang Ruxin spread her hands.

”But big sister, why save her at all?” Sanni frowned, ”Just give her another stab and let her die.”

Yang Ruxin’s heart sank, and she looked at Sanni in disbelief, ”Mengmeng, do you really think like that? Do you really want to kill her?”
