The Fierce Farm Girl Has A Secret Space

Chapter 1097: Chapter 1097: Do Something (1)

Yang Ruxin’s words left Erni in deep silence, and Yang Ruxin did not speak further, as some things needed to be figured out on one’s own.

After a long while, Erni raised her head, ”Big sister, I understand now. Brother-in-law is no ordinary man, and Gu Yao is destined for greatness too, right? He is meant to help brother-in-law with important matters, isn’t he?”

”Pretty much,” Yang Ruxin nodded. ”So, I can’t say they’re not in danger...”

Erni nodded, ”I know, I was just asking. But I believe he and brother-in-law will be alright...”

”Yes.” Yang Ruxin nodded. ”Together, we will form a strong support for them...”

Then Erni smiled.

”Since we can’t sleep anyway, why not do something?” Yang Ruxin felt that if she didn’t occupy herself, her thoughts would run wild, and so she got out of bed.

”Big sister, what shall we do?” Erni followed suit and got out of bed as well.

”Don’t you like needlework? I’ll design some things, and then you organize some of the young ladies and wives to make them. We might be able to make some money...” Yang Ruxin started drawing designs with her homemade quill pen as soon as she reached the desk.

Erni stood by and watched, ”Big sister, what is this? It’s so cute...”

”This is a dolphin, an animal from the sea; this one is a mouse...” Yang Ruxin sketched quickly. ”These can be cut out into shapes, sewn together, then stuffed with cotton and stitched up. You can hug or lean on them. Isn’t it interesting?”

”Indeed, it’s fascinating. They’re sure to sell well...” Erni’s eyes lit up. ”Right, big sister, there’s also that backpack and gloves you asked me to make before...”

”Now that you mention gloves, I remember.” Yang Ruxin looked up at Erni. ”Didn’t you and Dafeng work for the Embroidery Store together before?”

Erni nodded, ”Yes, initially for Jinxiu Embroidery Store, but they paid low wages and were satisfied with average work. It was their boss who recommended Longfeng Embroidery Store to me. The boss there was quite nice, I think her surname is Wei.”

”I know Miss Wei Yao from Wei’s family.” Yang Ruxin nodded. ”She liked the gloves and even mentioned discussing a partnership. If you’re interested, you could collaborate with her...”

”Collaborate? How?” Erni’s eyes sparkled with excitement.

”There are many ways to partner up, depending on what you want to do. The simplest is for you to handle production and wholesale the finished goods to her. How much she sells them for is none of your concern...”

”And the less simple way?”

”That’s to share the risk. You provide the products, then split the profits. The more she sells, the more you earn; the less she sells, the less you make...”

”Is there another way?”

”You could also sell the creativity.” Yang Ruxin tapped the drawings on the table. ”Sell the designs to them, and they handle their own production and sales...”

”That definitely won’t do,” Erni shook her head quickly. ”I want to use the first method so that I can also help idle women in the village earn some extra cash...”

Yang Ruxin smiled, ”Xuexue, your awareness has really improved a lot. It is said that in poverty, one takes care of oneself, but in wealth, one should help the world. We might not be at the point of helping the world, but we can certainly help our fellow villagers. After all, we have to live here, so we can’t just focus on our own earning...”

”I understand. Big sister, you’ve said it before—people are social creatures, and we can’t live in isolation; otherwise, we’ll be condemned by others...”
