The Fierce Farm Girl Has A Secret Space

Chapter 1085: Chapter 1085: Meddling (13)

Just beyond that hillside, there was originally a thicket that few people ever visited. If you went through the bushes, you’d reach a river.

But just now, they had heard the sounds of swords clashing from this direction, along with a faint scent of blood.

Indeed, as the two people crossed over the hillside, they saw by the riverbank there were indeed several people fighting—more precisely, seven or eight black-clad men attacking two others. The two were hardly recognizable, their clothes drenched in blood, but they were still desperately defending themselves. During the fight, one of them got slashed again, and the other hastily supported him...

Yang Ruxin glanced around. They had eaten dinner early, but it was already dusk, shrouded in twilight. Fortunately, the moonlight was good, and both of them had strong night vision, so they could see clearly.

”Those black-clad men are death warriors,” Gu Qingheng’s face appeared quite solemn.

”Looks like we’ve got a mess to deal with,” Yang Ruxin frowned, then patted Xiaolun and Xiaoyin on the wrist, ”It’s all on you two now.”

Xiaolun shot out immediately, with Xiaoyin closely following, perfectly executing the role of backup.

The black-clad men could never have anticipated that after chasing from the south to the north for an entire half a month and just as they were about to succeed, suddenly out of nowhere... they didn’t even know what hit them before they were dead.

Watching the black-clad men who had been relentlessly pursuing them suddenly collapse without warning, the two who were being chased were dumbfounded. They stood there in horror, looking around, only to discover two snakes coiled around the corpses, hissing at them. They couldn’t help but swallow their saliva, wondering what in the world was going on.

”Thank you for your hard work,” Yang Ruxin now came forward and said to Xiaolun and Xiaoyin.

Xiaoyin and Xiaolun then swiftly coiled back around her wrist.

Only then did the two realize they had been saved. The less injured one nodded and said, ”Thank you both for your intervention, I am...”

”No need for thanks, just go,” Yang Ruxin waved her hand.

But as soon as she had spoken, both men collapsed to the ground. The younger one quickly scrambled up, ”Father...”

”I’m done for... my son, you must remember our family teachings, protect... protect...” The old man couldn’t finish his words when his head tilted, and he breathed his last.

”Father...” The young one cried torrents as he held the old man’s corpse.

Yang Ruxin went over to check his pulse, then shook her head, ”Condolences. May you find peace.”

The young man looked at Yang Ruxin, about to say something but swayed suddenly. Despite trying hard to stay conscious, he collapsed.

Yang Ruxin sighed, ”It seems I must get involved, whether I want to or not.”

Gu Qingheng nodded, reached out to lift the young man, but as soon as he touched the chest, he quickly let go, ”A woman.”

Yang Ruxin frowned, glanced at the ears, and saw no piercings. She too felt the chest and indeed it was a woman, she couldn’t help but laugh, ”Seems like cross-dressing is in fashion these days...”

Gu Qingheng, however, was visibly disgusted and turned to wash himself at the river. Only after a thorough rinse, appearing less nauseated, did he return.

”It’s alright, I don’t blame you. It was an accident, why make yourself unhappy?” Yang Ruxin quickly grabbed Gu Qingheng’s hand and vigorously rubbed it, ”There, now you smell of me, it’s all good...”
