The Fierce Farm Girl Has A Secret Space

Chapter 1067: Chapter 1067: Madam Gu (5)

The madam hurried over to apologize again upon hearing this.

”It’s fine,” Yang Ruxin waved her hand dismissively. After all, there was no harm done, and there was no need to be too serious about it.

”Miss?” However, the man in black suddenly approached Yang Ruxin. ”What a coincidence.”

Gu Qingheng quickly came over and stood next to Yang Ruxin. ”It turns out to be Young Master Song San, truly a coincidence.” In fact, he had recognized the man as soon as he appeared—it was the same man whom Xinxin had saved from a pack of wolves. However, if he hadn’t greeted them, Gu Qingheng wouldn’t have intended to acknowledge him. But now that he had approached Ruxin, Gu Qingheng couldn’t just stand by. He knew from the first encounter that this man was dangerous.

Song San merely maintained a smile, nodding at Gu Qingheng, but did not say anything further, instead fixing his gaze on Yang Ruxin.

Yang Ruxin nodded her head, ”No wonder he seemed somewhat familiar just now. Are you also from Baihua County?”

”No, but my injuries have not yet healed,” Song San shook his head.

Yang Ruxin nodded in understanding. When she had saved him, his injuries were indeed severe, so it made sense for him to find a place to recuperate.

By now, the guards had dragged the dead horse lying by the roadside to one side and cleared the way. Yuan Mengzhu had also sent someone to inquire about the situation.

”Let’s go,” said Gu Qingheng. Not offended by Song San’s disregard, he instead took Yang Ruxin’s hand, his eyes brimming with gentle warmth that could drown someone.

”Mhm,” Yang Ruxin nodded, glanced at Song San, and said, ”We must be going now. Goodbye.”

”Miss,” Song San suddenly stepped forward to block Yang Ruxin’s path. ”Last time it was the miss who saved me; I have yet to repay that kindness. May I know...”

”There’s no need,” Yang Ruxin promptly shook her head. ”Saving lives and helping the injured are our traditional virtues. Young Master need not bother about it.”

”How can that be?” Song San opposed, ”The debt for saving a life is greater than heaven... May I ask how the miss addresses herself?”

”I...” Yang Ruxin suddenly pointed at Gu Qingheng. ”My husband’s family name is Gu; you may call me Madam Gu. Now, if you’ll excuse me.” With that, she went straight into the carriage.

Watching the carriage move away, Song San’s attractive eyes narrowed slightly. She was still as spirited as ever, but no matter—it wouldn’t be long before they met again. He then prepared to leave.

”Young master,” the youth suddenly called out and quickly approached.

Song San frowned at the sight of the youth dressed as a boy.

”Thank you, young master. If it weren’t for... ” the youth’s cheeks flushed with two dubious spots of red, ”May I inquire about your distinguished last name?”

Song San frowned, a hint of disgust flickering in his eyes, and without a word, walked away.

”Hey...” The youth felt dismissed and was momentarily embarrassed and angered, wanting to chase after him.

”Rongrong, enough,” the woman from before quickly held back the youth. ”It’s getting late; we must get on the carriage. Any further delay and we’ll miss the vegetarian meal at the temple... The young mistress is probably getting anxious... These two little misses are so worrisome. They insist on riding horses—what if something had happened? How would I explain myself? I cannot afford to accompany this headstrong child anymore.”

Only then did the reluctant youth board the carriage, but he blamed Yang Ruxin. The young master was speaking to you, and you ignored him, which saddened him and led him to ignore me too... But it seemed that the young master was also heading towards Qinglian Temple; perhaps there would be another chance meeting.
