The Fierce Farm Girl Has A Secret Space

Chapter 200: Chapter 200: Equal Division (Part 2)_1

Guan Yao had just stepped through the gate of his home and hadn’t yet closed the door when Yang Ruxin caught up with him.

”What’s not right?” Guan Yao frowned as he looked at Yang Ruxin. He did as his eldest brother had instructed, directly giving the Black Bear to Qi Jingyi. That guy was off to celebrate the Shen Family’s birthday, and he wasn’t lacking in money—otherwise, how could he afford to be so generous?

Of course, more importantly, such a fresh and enormous wild beast would enhance Qi Jingyi’s prestige. After all, there are times when even money can’t buy such things.

So, it could be said that it benefited both parties.

”There isn’t anything wrong,” Yang Ruxin stepped through the door and looked at Guan Yao, ”but you can’t give me all of it. We agreed to split it,” she said, taking out two hundred Silver, ”The Black Bear was found by me, but the buyer was found by you, and it was you who delivered it. If I were to sell it, I probably couldn’t have fetched such a high price. So, you must take this Silver... As for Uncle Xiaowu and the other two, I’ll take care of thanking them...” Having said that, she picked up the remaining Silver and left.

”You’ve said your piece, but I can’t take this Silver,” Guan Yao chased after her to stuff the Silver back into Yang Ruxin’s hands, ”It’s just helping out.”

”Then I won’t go to the mountains with you in the future,” Yang Ruxin frowned, ”If I have problems, I won’t seek your help either.”

”This...” Guan Yao looked at Gu Qingheng, ”Big brother, what do you think...”

”Since Xinxin mentioned the arrangement before, just accept it,” Gu Qingheng sighed softly, ”Xinxin, why must you be so stubborn?”

”It’s not stubbornness,” Yang Ruxin smiled, shaking her head, then stuffed the silver note back into Guan Yao’s hand, ”It’s about integrity. I always follow through on my promises, otherwise, I wouldn’t make them.”

”Alright then.” Gu Qingheng started to laugh, ”We’ll keep the Silver for now, and if you need it in the future, you can always come and get it.”

Yang Ruxin, Xiaxia, didn’t say anything; Silver she had given away was never asked back. She quickly changed the subject, ”Little Yaozi, the pheasant and mushroom stew I made is very delicious. I’ve saved a big bowl specially for you. You can ask Aunt Feng to warm up some steamed buns, and it’ll be ready to eat...” Then she waved her hand, ”I’m off.”

Guan Yao didn’t dwell on it any longer but took the Silver to the kitchen.

Feng Family’s matriarch was in the kitchen warming up the meal; she had already eaten with Gu Qingheng but had left some congee and steamed buns. Now, with a big bowl of pheasant and mushroom stew, there was plenty for Guan Yao to fill up on.

”Mother, don’t bother, I’ve already had dinner,” Guan Yao handed the divided silver note to the Feng Family matriarch.

”So much?” The Feng Family matriarch was startled by the two hundred Silver silver note.

”It’s the money from the Black Bear, which Ruxin split with me. She ran over just to give it,” Guan Yao spread his hands, ”The eldest brother asked us to keep it.”

The Feng Family matriarch nodded, ”Since that’s the case, we’ll keep it. That child is really sincere.”

Guan Yao was noncommittal.

”Listen, it’s very likely that the eldest young master has completely fallen for Ruxin,” the Feng Family matriarch suddenly lowered her voice, ”so you must watch over that matter.”

”What?” Guan Yao didn’t immediately understand.

”I’m worried someone else might have designs on Ruxin...”

”Who would dare?” Guan Yao’s frown deepened immediately.

”We must be prepared for any eventuality,” the Feng Family matriarch sighed, ”Today, Guan Qingshu came looking for her already. Although I saw she didn’t pay him any mind, still, considering their past... Your big brother’s injury limits him, so you must keep a close watch...”

”Don’t worry, Mother,” a cold light flashed in Guan Yao’s eyes, ”If anyone dares to compete with my big brother, I’ll make sure they rue the day they were born...”

At that moment, Guan Qingshu, lying in his own room, inexplicably felt a chill run through his body and hurriedly pulled the blanket over himself.
