The Fierce Farm Girl Has A Secret Space

Chapter 189: Chapter 189: You’re Too Thin (Third Update)_1

Yang Ruxin had yet to realize how shocking and unconventional her behavior was as she kept rotating her arm and asked, ”There’s no wound, right?” Then she chuckled with self-satisfaction, ”Lin Yue’e spoke so unpleasantly just now that some of the villagers must have been envious. I had to resort to this strategy. Don’t worry, I won’t let myself get hurt...”

At that moment, a member of the Feng Family ran out with a medicine bottle only to find the young master tenderly holding Yang Ruxin’s arm... She was at a loss for a second, not knowing whether to continue out or retreat, so she pretended to cough unintentionally. After all, Gu Yao had said that Xinxin was injured, and she felt she had no choice but to head over, for fear that delaying treatment would cause trouble.

Only then did Yang Ruxin belatedly realize that she had been letting Gu Qingheng touch her arm. Her face instantly flushed with embarrassment. As a woman in her forties, with the sum of her years from two lifetimes, was she acting indecently toward a youngster?

Gu Qingheng’s face was as red as a monkey’s bottom as well.

”Umm...” The Feng Family member walked over awkwardly, ”Where are you hurt? Let me see...” She really wanted to look away, but feared that Xinxin might be truly injured and delay treatment, so she steeled herself and approached.

”Aunt Feng, it’s nothing. The blood earlier was just to scare them...” Yang Ruxin laughed awkwardly, quickly pushing the other’s hand off her arm, ”I...I...” She trailed off, not knowing what else to say. To convince her she wasn’t injured, she could have just let Aunt Feng check, but what had she done? Oh heavens, strike me with lightning.

Unfortunately, the sky was still clear, and even the sunset glow draped the western horizon in a resplendent crimson, incredibly magnificent.

”It’s good that there’s no issue,” Aunt Feng breathed a sigh of relief, though she still checked Yang Ruxin’s arm, ”Since there’s no problem, you two continue talking, I’ll...I’ll go cook...” Then she scurried into the kitchen like fleeing the scene. Why was she so weak, even stuttering? However, she felt quite happy for the young master. Although Ruxin came from a humble background, she was tough, and the way she cared for her siblings showed that she was capable. This meant that even if she was gone someday, the young master would be looked after.

Yet Yang Ruxin felt even more embarrassed. She decided it was best to leave. Perhaps the conservative nature of the locals had rubbed off on her, or else how could ’Thick-skinned Sister Xin’ become flustered?

Alas, shyness is an illness that must be cured.

However, just as she turned to leave, her hand was grasped by the other person.

Yang Ruxin felt as if a current surged from her fingertips straight to her heart and then instantly spread throughout her body, leaving her unexplainably numb.

This was the first time in her two lifetimes that Yang Ruxin had been electrified. In her past life, she fought and drank with men, and shoulder to shoulder was no different from her right hand holding her left, but at this moment...

”You’re too thin,” Gu Qingheng had already regained his composure and even let out a small sigh. By now, he had forgotten the previous awkwardness and even the advice he had wanted to give her. A single thought occupied his mind: how could her arm be so slender? The girl was too thin, and inexplicably, it pained his heart.

But Yang Ruxin, dizzied by the electric shock, hadn’t heard a word he said and just stared at him dumbfounded, with eyes wide and mouth agape.
