The Fierce Farm Girl Has A Secret Space

Chapter 196: Chapter 196: Encountering a Madman (Four Updates)_1

Guan Qingshu came over with the intention of rescuing Yang Dani, because after returning, he had heard from his younger sister of many of Yang Ruxin’s ”great accomplishments.” This made him feel an even greater responsibility.

He believed that Yang Dani had become so overbearing because he had rejected her, leading her to carry out a series of excessive actions to get his attention.

Thus, he found his way to the small courtyard, only to see from a distance Yang Ruxin coming out of the Gu Family’s residence. He froze, not knowing what to do, and ended up hiding behind the beanstalk trellis without intending to be spotted. However, he was discovered and had no choice but to step out.

Yang Ruxin’s eyebrows furrowed instantly. What’s this guy doing here?

”Dani,” Guan Qingshu felt a little awkward only for a moment before he gathered his courage and stepped towards Yang Ruxin, asserting, ”I know you’re upset because I rejected you, but you can’t just give up on yourself.” His tone was very earnest.

Yang Ruxin had long witnessed his presumptuousness, so she wasn’t angry at all but instead chuckled lightly, ”Guan Qingshu, I’ve already told you, if you’re sick, get treated, or it’ll become incurable.” She sighed gently, ”You’re still young, carrying the heavy burden of the Daxuan Dynasty’s prosperity. If you’re critically ill, how could your mother go on living?” After shaking her head, she turned and walked toward her family home.

Guan Qingshu was momentarily stunned and didn’t quite catch on, but his body reacted faster than his mind. He reached out to grab Yang Ruxin, ”What do you mean by that? Ah...” But just as his hand touched her, he suddenly felt the world spin and found himself inexplicably thrown to the ground with a thud, the impact not light. He couldn’t help but let out a cry of pain.

This cry attracted the attention of the nearest two families.

From the Gu Family, it was Feng Family’s matriarch who rushed out, brandishing a kitchen knife. She had been preparing to try her hand at slaughtering a rabbit after Yang Ruxin left, considering Gu Yao couldn’t be there every day, in case he wasn’t around, and the young master would miss out on meat. But having hesitated for a long time, she did not dare to act. Just then, a scream came from outside, and she immediately worried that Yang Ruxin might be in danger and bolted out.

From the Yang Family came Sanni, who, upon hearing the commotion, left Erni in charge of the little ones and rushed out with a broom in hand.

But what she saw was her standing eldest sister and a person lying on the ground.

”Xinxin, this...”

”Big sister.” Sanni also breathed a sigh of relief.

”It’s nothing. Just ran into a lunatic,” Yang Ruxin casually waved off, ”Aunt Feng, go back, I’m going to cook.” Then taking Sanni’s hand, she entered her own family’s courtyard.

Upon hearing this, the Feng matriarch didn’t ask further questions and hurried back to close the door. She needed to inform the young master that Guan Qingshu had followed them and that they should be vigilant.

Although Guan Qingshu was face down, she recognized him. After all, there were only a few in the village who wore white robes, and this person was clearly not Yang Rusong, so it could only be Guan Qingshu.

Yang Ruxin didn’t care if Guan Qingshu would get hurt from the fall; she knew her own strength, so she went back home quite calmly.

Guan Qingshu felt extremely ashamed and wanted to get up, but his body felt like it had fallen apart, making it impossible for him to rise immediately. And that damned Yang Dani didn’t even bother to pull him up.
