The Fierce Farm Girl Has A Secret Space

Chapter 154: Chapter 154: One Slap_1

Yang Ruxin saw clearly that Yang Anshi could have steadied herself after stepping back but instead, she suddenly pretended to fall. Ruxin quickly, with sharp eyes and swift hands, caught her, ”Granny, please be careful not to fall!” While saying this, she also glanced at the old crone.

The old crone breathed a sigh of relief.

Yang Anshi was fuming. True to the saying ’like mother like daughter,’ this one is a mini disaster-star herself. Isn’t she ruining their plan? She then raised her hand and slapped Yang Ruxin across the face, ”Go die...”

Ruxin could have dodged the slap, but she noticed her great-uncle and others had already reached the doorway. So, she bit her lip and took the slap head-on, then her whole body dramatically fell to the ground, her small face immediately swelling and turning red.

”Big sister...” Sanni cried out loud.

”Why are you hitting the child?” The old crone couldn’t help but scream, ”How could you bring yourself to do that?” She felt guilty because Dani had just helped them.

At that moment, the village chief and her great-uncle, great-uncle-in-law, and others had already walked in. Actually, there was no need for Sanni to call them; someone had already gone to notify them one by one.

”Anshi, what are you doing?” Her great-uncle shouted even louder.

Yang Anshi was stunned; why didn’t the girl dodge earlier? When her eyes met Ruxin’s provocative gaze, she instantly understood that Ruxin had done it on purpose and her anger flared anew. She raised her foot to kick at Ruxin, ”You wretch, acting up again...”

”Great-uncle, save me...” Ruxin crawled a few paces towards her great-uncle’s direction and deftly avoided the kick.

”Stop it,” her great-uncle shouted again.

Startled, Yang Anshi hastily stepped back.

”Elder of the Yang Family, look at what Anshi has done to the child. What kind of grandmother is so cruel?” The old crone moved forward and helped Ruxin up, ”Look at her face; it’s all swollen...”

”Big sister...” Erni was crying with tears all over her face.

”What exactly happened?” Her great-uncle glared at Yang Peili, ”Didn’t they split the family already? Doesn’t the agreement we made count for anything?”

Yang Peili opened his mouth but didn’t know how to respond.

”Elders...” Ruxin suddenly started crying, ”I beg you to make a judgment. If this continues, our main house will have no choice but to hang itself...” Her pale little face was now swollen on one side, looking particularly horrifying.

”Dongzi, is this the two hundred catties of grain you promised?” Her great-uncle-in-law had already gone to see those grains, his expression odd, ”I have lived to a ripe old age, but this is the first time I’ve learned that rocks can be eaten as grain...” He chuckled twice, ”If this gets out, do you want us old folks also to be criticized behind our backs?”

”Great-uncle-in-law, this...” Yang Peili was full of shame, ”It’s a misunderstanding...”

”I don’t care if it’s a misunderstanding, this is the first and last time it happens. Otherwise, whatever happens to your branch of the Yang Family in the future, we will not intervene.” Her great-uncle waved his hand, ”Now go and make up the shortfall of grain for Dani.” As for hitting the granddaughter, that was not his place to get involved.

”Exactly, how can you be so heartless when you’ve become a grandfather?” Her great-uncle-in-law was also angry, ”Aren’t you afraid that your eldest will rise from his grave to question you all?”
