Urban Divine Doctor Descends the Mountain

Chapter 1164: Chapter 1163: About to Lose?

Lin Dong and Jin Yuan glanced at each other during their brief moment of rest.

Jin Yuan couldn’t help but say, ”Divine Doctor Lin, you truly surprised me. You’re only twenty-one years old, yet your medical arts have reached such an incredible level.”

”Give you a few more years, and I fear I will no longer be your match.”

Lin Dong shrugged and said, ”No need. You are not my match right now!”

Hearing these somewhat ’arrogant’ words, Jin Yuan did not get angry at all; instead, he laughed heartily,

”That’s the spirit of youth! However, beating me won’t be that easy.”

”Moreover, Divine Doctor Lin, your next patient isn’t going to be easy to treat.”

After saying that, Jin Yuan hurriedly began to continue the acupuncture treatment on the next patient.

Lin Dong also began to treat the next patient with acupuncture!

Just as Jin Yuan said, his next patient was indeed not simple. The patient’s condition was very complicated.

She had multiple diseases.

In total, there were eight diseases, with two being surgical conditions, namely urinary stones and a brain tumor!

Additionally, there were three chronic diseases, each of which had been dragged on for many years.

Beyond that, she also had three gynecological diseases!

Dealing with such a complex patient, if treated by Western medicine, would mean admissions to four or five different departments!

As for completely curing all the conditions, that could take an unknown amount of time and a great deal of wealth!

And now, Lin Dong intended to use acupuncture to cure all the diseases at once!

This was why Jin Yuan had said that Lin Dong’s next patient would be troublesome.

”Troubling, indeed, this mode of competition by acupuncture still involves an element of luck. Whose patient has a more complicated condition will thus be at a certain disadvantage!” Wang Taisui couldn’t help but say.

The Traditional Chinese Medicine side all felt nervous for Lin Dong.

Purton also said, ”Traditional Chinese Medicine is likely to lose. Just this one patient could take all the remaining time to treat. There’s no guarantee they’ll be cured!”

”Eight diseases combined in one person, even our country’s top medical team would need months to treat her...”

He had not finished speaking when Dr. Alice suddenly said, ”Dr. Purton, look quickly. Divine Doctor Lin has started to insert the needles!”

At that moment, Lin Dong began to acupuncture the patient!

He inserted more than sixty needles into that patient.

This was also the first time he had used so many needles on a single patient.

After the silver needles had penetrated her acupoints, it only took three minutes for Lin Dong to tell her,

”All the diseases in your body have been cured!”

After saying this, he hurried to treat the next patient. As for the verification, it would have to wait until after the competition was finished.

Because her diseases were internal conditions.

Like urinary stones, brain tumors, chronic diseases, gynecological problems, even if cured, you can’t see them with the naked eye.

Conditions like urinary stones and brain tumors needed to be verified with medical instruments... chronic diseases would need tests... gynecological diseases were the same...

Although there were medical instruments present at the scene, they couldn’t produce immediate results. Hence, the final outcome would have to be announced after the end of the competition.

And Lin Dong needed to quickly perform acupuncture on the next patient, otherwise, he would be outnumbered by Jin Yuan in terms of patients treated.

Due to this patient, Lin Dong had fallen a bit behind.

The conditions of the following patients were simpler than that of the previous one.

So Lin Dong once again sped up his pace!

Subsequently, he performed acupuncture at an even faster speed...

Soon, half an hour had passed.

The referee blew the whistle signaling the end of the acupuncture competition!

After it ended, Lin Dong and Jin Yuan both stopped needling and stood to one side.

Next to them were the patients they had treated!

Of course, many conditions of the patients couldn’t be seen with the naked eye, and further analysis would require tests and imaging to confirm the treatment results.

The treatment outcomes were clearly also the standard for determining the winner and loser!

The count of patients treated naturally mattered as well.

At this time, even Lin Dong and Jin Yuan themselves did not yet know how many patients they had cured compared to the other.

Because just now, they had been immersed in acupuncture, with no thought of counting heads.

Moreover, they didn’t need to count themselves.

Calculating the results was the job of the referee team.

With so many Medical Associations, so many related personnel, so many medical instruments, there was simply no need to worry about efficiency and accuracy in compiling the results!

About half an hour later, the referee team announced the results!

All the patients’ laboratory tests and diagnostic reports had been produced at the fastest speed.

When the referee was about to announce the outcome, whether it was the crowd on-site or the audiences in the online livestream room, all were filled with anticipation.

”It must be our Paocai Nation that wins! That Traditional Chinese Medicine doctor spent so long on that patient, he must have lost!” This was the sentiment in the Paocai Nation live broadcast room.

Purton couldn’t help but say, ”I think that Dr. Lin of Traditional Chinese Medicine didn’t cure that patient! Perhaps that is the key to his losing the match!”

Practitioners of Traditional Chinese Medicine, the medical field of Dragon Country, including the viewers in the Dragon Country livestream room, were all nervous for Lin Dong at this moment.

They were all anxious, indeed, with those two concerns!

They feared that Lin Dong, because he took extra time to treat that complicated patient, had fallen behind in the number of treated patients to Jin Yuan!

And they were worried that Lin Dong had not cured that patient. If so, even if he treated more patients, he would still lose!

”Cough cough... the results of the competition are...”

The referee purposefully cleared his throat and raised his voice, with a hint of keeping the audience in suspense, he hesitated for a moment...

Everyone stared at him, with some of the more impatient ones yelling out, ”Referee, stop keeping us in suspense, just announce the results already!”

Only then did the referee laugh out loud and declared in a loud voice,

”The acupuncture competition! It is again a tie!”

”Paocai Nation’s Doctor Jin Yuan, in half an hour, cured twenty-nine patients! Not a single error!”

”And Dragon Country’s Doctor Lin Dong, also in half an hour, cured twenty-nine patients! Likewise, without a single error!”

Wow!!!

When this result was announced, it again caused a sensation...
