Apocalyptic Flood: Sexy Beauty Neighbor's Midnight Plea for Food

Chapter 643: Chapter 264: Tu Long is Wholeheartedly Convinced_3

Liang Yuan turned around and looked at Tu Long.

Tu Long also gazed at him, his eyes showing sincerity.

Liang Yuan suddenly smiled, ”I believe you.”

Tu Long was taken aback.

Liang Yuan sighed, ”Those who have received a proper education and once held moral standards, who among them could be inherently bad?”

”Everyone wants a good life; who wants to live a life of deceit, treachery, and mutual mistrust?”

”Who doesn’t want to live happily?”

Tu Long couldn’t help but sigh as well, ”True, but in today’s world, living such a life has become a luxury.”

”However...”

He looked at Liang Yuan and said, ”However, you have given everyone a shelter, allowing them to live such a life again.”

”I want to make this kind of life last even longer.”

Liang Yuan smiled and said to Tu Long, ”Then welcome to the Yangshan Shelter.”

Tu Long instantly smiled as well.

”But you, as a scout, still need to continue your job.”

Liang Yuan suddenly said, ”In the entire shelter, only you have the ability to fly. I need you to scout the nearby areas for any survivors.”

”If there are any, see what kind of people they are. If they are reliable, they can come to Yangshan.”

Tu Long couldn’t help but ask, ”You’re still planning to take in more people?”

”Yangshan is so big; we currently only have a little over a thousand people. It can still accommodate many more.”

”But have you thought about the fact that there’s only so much red meat on Yangshan? The more people there are, the fewer mutant beasts there will be.”

”You are wrong. It’s the wild mutant beasts that will become fewer. What we need to do is drive away the inedible mutant beasts and focus on rapidly breeding the good red meat ones with prime quality and short reproduction cycles.”

”The overall number of mutant beasts will only increase. I need them all within our control, rather than having us humans retreat to the caves each time the sea tide comes, leaving these mutant beasts free to roam.”

Tu Long suddenly understood Liang Yuan’s logic.

This man truly intended to manage the entire Yangshan into a shelter.

He even planned to drive the mutant creatures off the mountain, leaving only those with practical value for breeding.

Honestly, such an idea had never crossed his mind before.

Because he didn’t dare to think about it, not to mention the number of mutant beasts on the entire Yangshan.

Just one Black Gold Giant Ape wasn’t something he, Tu Long, could deal with.

But Liang Yuan was different. With his strength, even the Black Gold Giant Ape could be tamed.

What other mutant beast on the entire Yangshan could threaten him?

So, his plan to unify Yangshan wasn’t just empty words.

He aimed not only to unify the shelter but also to rule the mutant beasts on Yangshan.

Tu Long was immediately invigorated. If they could pull this off, Yangshan could truly become a colossal shelter.

He promptly nodded, ”Just in time, I know a few places hosting several decent survivor groups. I’ll talk to them and see if they’re willing to come up the mountain.”

Liang Yuan nodded, ”I’ll leave this task to you. Don’t force it if they’re unwilling.”

”Next, I’ll organize a team to clear the mutant creatures in the flood between Yangshan and Meishan.”

Tu Long recalled the flooded area between the two mountains.

Initially, that area wasn’t flooded; it was a depression between the two mountains.

Later, the flood came, and it quickly submerged.

Yangshan and Meishan were thus separated by this vast water body.

However, the two mountains were adjacent, and the direct distance wasn’t very far, just a few kilometers.

But the trouble was, this marsh was hiding numerous mutant monsters.

Not mutant fish, but amphibious mutant monsters like the mutant frogs, mutated toads, water spiders, mutant salamanders, crocodiles, and so on that Liang Yuan had encountered before.

In fact, strictly speaking, Linjiang shouldn’t have crocodiles. But in this great flood, the rivers backflowed, even bringing ocean creatures into the flooded areas. How could crocodiles living in rivers and lakes be an exception?

”Mr. Liang is interested in Meishan?”

Liang Yuan shook his head slightly, ”Not particularly, but I have a relative to find over there. Also, if there’s a shelter, perhaps we can attempt to make contact to see if we can exchange some supplies.”

He was going to Meishan partly because Yang Mei’s parents might be there.

On the other hand, if there were a large shelter in Meishan, they might source mutant creatures from it, creating a new way to earn points.

Although he hadn’t figured out what genetic species were and couldn’t upgrade, he could still accumulate points.

Liang Yuan certainly wouldn’t give up. Naturally, he needed to keep earning points for future use.

”Additionally, check if there are any experts in shipbuilding,” Liang Yuan suddenly remembered something.

Tu Long asked, ”You’re planning to build ships?”

Liang Yuan nodded, ”Yes, with the flood, travel is impossible. Only by building ships can we venture far; otherwise, we will be forever trapped on this mountain.”

”Shipbuilding is something that will have to be done sooner or later.”

Although the cold snap was approaching and the water would soon freeze.

There might even come a time when ships couldn’t sail anymore.

But Liang Yuan didn’t think so. After this winter, the ice would melt, and the floodwaters would still be there, wouldn’t they?

If the next rainy season came with as much storm and rain, Yangshan itself could be submerged.

So building ships was a necessity.

And it needed to be capable of constructing large ships.

However, this required professional guidance, specific equipment, and knowledge.

Of course, another option was to rely on accumulating points and then draw from the lottery disc.

But Liang Yuan suspected that this would require tons of points, which seemed wasteful. It would be better if they could build them themselves.

As for the materials for shipbuilding, that was simple. When drawing from the system, it was much cheaper to draw materials than to draw an entire ship.

Tu Long immediately thought of something and said, ”I know where you can find shipbuilding experts.”

Liang Yuan was surprised and turned to Tu Long, ”You know someone in this field?”

”Um...” Tu Long felt a bit embarrassed, understanding why Liang Yuan was surprised.

As a property manager with some shady connections, he shouldn’t have any ties to such professionals.

”My nephew studied ship engineering at Linjiang University. He once mentioned that the university has a well-developed shipbuilding industry. Given Linjiang’s proximity to the river, they have many professionals in shipbuilding, most of whom graduated from Linjiang University.”

”I think if you’re looking for talents in this field, Linjiang University is the place to go.”

Liang Yuan frowned and said, ”Linjiang University... during the great flood, it was the summer vacation, right? The students didn’t go home?”

”That I don’t know. We’ll need to ask someone from Linjiang University.”

Liang Yuan immediately thought of Ding Yan and Song Wen. Both of them were associated with Linjiang University—one a teacher and the other an arts graduate. They should know quite a bit about the university.
