Apocalyptic Flood: Sexy Beauty Neighbor's Midnight Plea for Food

Chapter 641: Chapter 264: Tu Long is Thoroughly Convinced by Words and by Heart

After hurriedly buying supplies, Meng Youyou ran to the food court on the first floor.

Beside her were Luo Hongmian and Han Xiangman.

The three girls looked at the food court and immediately smelled all kinds of aromas.

Especially the smell of all kinds of fried proteins, and even the scent of barbecues!

Even Han Xiangman couldn’t help but gulp down her saliva.

They thought the food court might only have simple rice, porridge, fish, and meat, but to their surprise, the food court offered a rich variety of dishes, even barbecue stands and fried chicken chops!

For Liang Yuan, these dishes are actually not hard to make.

As long as there are enough vegetables, chicken, fish, meat, and eggs, the variety of dishes can be rich indeed.

Currently, the base not only raises a large number of Red Chickens, Flame Birds, Plum Blossom Pigs, Fire Bamboo Rats, and Fire Cloud Rabbits, but last time Tu Long flew outside and even brought back a few ducks.

Overall, the species at Yangshan Breeding Base have become much more diverse.

And under the influence of Yue Yawei’s superpower, the breeding speed is also very fast.

As long as these mutant creatures have enough to eat, their growth rate is quite astonishing, with birds growing up in just a month.

The Fire Bamboo Rat can be harvested in two months, and the Plum Blossom Pig takes a bit longer, around three months.

All the mutant plants made into vegetables are carefully detoxified and tested by Yang Shenmin’s medical team to ensure they are safe to eat before being extensively planted and brought into the canteen as dishes.

Those fried chicken chops and pork chops come from this process.

In fact, oil and the flour used for the fried chicken chops are more precious resources.

Liang Yuan has to use points in a lottery to obtain these.

Currently, Yangshan has no local substitutes for them.

Additionally, seasonings are also quite precious and mainly obtained by Liang Yuan’s points lottery.

Liang Yuan has already started large-scale planting of seasonings like Sichuan pepper, chili, and garlic on the mountain.

Overall, the food court is not as meager as everyone thought and has a reasonably rich selection of dishes.

But it is not as lavish as before the apocalypse either.

Today is a grand opening with special promotions, so there are many dishes at the counters, and many people came to eat.

In a few days, there will be fewer dishes, and everyone won’t have as many points to spend.

If you want to eat something good, you have to order separately.

Among these dishes, the ones for which Liang Yuan needed to spend points in a lottery to get ingredients will be more expensive.

Resources produced in the shelter are comparatively cheaper.

The cheapest of all dishes is fish.

All kinds of fish products, such as fish balls, grilled fish, braised fish, steamed fish, and fish steaks, are relatively inexpensive.

Red meat is slightly more expensive than fish, but compared to rice, flour, and buns, it is much cheaper.

After all, there are plenty of mutant beasts in the mountains to capture for red meat, while rice and flour are obtained through Liang Yuan’s lotteries.

”Ah ah ah, white buns, white flour buns, Sister Xiangman, look, I haven’t eaten buns for a long time.”

Luo Hongmian pointed at the fluffy white buns at the counter and exclaimed in surprise and joy.

She is a typical Shandong person who used to eat two white flour buns every morning and evening before the apocalypse, or else she felt unsatisfied.

Seeing those fluffy white flour buns now made her drool.

Han Xiangman laughed and said, ”Come on, let’s buy two.”

Luo Hongmian nodded quickly and ran over immediately.

However, Meng Youyou stopped and said softly, ”Sister Xiangman, you go ahead and eat first, um, I have something to do.”

Han Xiangman looked at Meng Youyou suspiciously, but saw her looking embarrassed and pointing to Gu Feng waiting by the gate not far away.

Han Xiangman smiled immediately and said, ”Alright, no one is stopping you from dating, go quickly.”

Meng Youyou blushed and quickly escaped.

Seeing Meng Youyou, Gu Feng hurriedly said, ”Youyou, finally you’re here, come on, the first movie is about to start.”

Meng Youyou’s eyes lit up and she said, ”We’re really going to watch a movie on the fourth floor?”

”Yes, I have already bought the tickets. Look, I even got milk tea for you!”

”What! Milk tea?” Meng Youyou was incredulous.

What time is it?

This is the apocalypse, so where does milk tea come from?

Gu Feng chuckled, ”Yes, it’s milk tea. My former classmate made it herself, and I shamelessly asked for some.”

”Your classmate? How does she make milk tea? Can people still make milk tea now?”

”Yes, Dong Yan, you know her, right? My classmate, I was very good friends with her brother, we used to live opposite each other.”

Gu Feng laughed, ”The milk tea is actually quite simple, made with milk powder, tea leaves boiled together, and a bit of sugar. The key is the taro balls inside.”

”I didn’t expect she used the taros grown by Granny Li and others to make taro balls.”

”Try it, the taste is almost the same as the milk tea before the Great Flood.”

Meng Youyou took a sip, and her eyes immediately brightened. It truly tasted great!

”So delicious... wow...”

Meng Youyou took another sip and suddenly tears started to flow.

Gu Feng was caught off guard and quickly said, ”Hey, hey, why are you crying?”

Meng Youyou rubbed her eyes and cried, ”My dad used to buy milk tea for my mom and me...”

Gu Feng immediately understood and his face showed a look of pity. He quickly comforted her, ”It’s all in the past, it’s all in the past.”

She had mentioned before that when her family first encountered the great flood, her father took her and her mother to their colleague’s house on the top floor to stay.

As the water level continued to rise and resources became scarce, some despicable things started to happen.
